Kind of misleading, NOT complaning but a better title woulda been something like; 'the awe of Jurrasic Park the movie' or 'highlights of Jurrasic Park the movie' or better still 'Jurassic Park montage' (ppl love them)
I am absolutely shocked at the amount of dinosaur based theme parks that seem to be springing up all over the place. You would think that after seeing this film people would have learned their lesson, but oh no, they go round setting up parks like no-one's business. I reckon it will serve them right when a tyrannosaurus is running amock through the high street, eating people, shouting obscenities and making foul smells.
Went and saw the re-release last night at the cinema. I had the hairs standing up on the back my neck during the scene where they see the first Braciosurus. Such a magical moment and one of my favourite movies ever.,

I'm sorry but... what is your purpose with this terribly edited compilation? You managed to stitch together little more than a string of human reaction shots. What's more, many of the shots you chose include dialogue that is obscured by the theme music. It appears the "Magic of Jurassic Park" (apparently a park filled with gawking humans) is negated by the hapless decisions you made here. I'm sorry - this is just so annoying. But it's YouTube, so why am I surprised?
Yeah I miss the 1990's too. But I miss the 1970's and 1980's more (they had much better music) I met my girlfriend in 1983 and we finally got married on October 31, 1992. I remember taking my son to watch this in the cinema. It was magic.
Compare 1990s (1993) Laura Dern here in Jurassic Park to 1980s (1986) Laura Dern from Smooth Talk. Type in "Smooth Talk" and then it should be the first video with (1986) in brackets. Check out how different she looks from the 1980s to 1990s, it's really interesting.
@eboromir - By today's standard...shit, I'd say better in many cases. Youtube generation hasn't exactly fostered movies that require an exertion of attention.
I love the conversations about how they doubt his creations of Jurassic Park and how you can't just throw in 65 million year old creatures into a new enviornment and ecosystem. This movie is BEA--utiful.....
These are my favorite parts of the movie, lost interest when it became a horror movie. I will always remember my jaw dropping when I got to see all the brachiosaurs and other herbivores. One of the best moments in cinema in my opinion. Plus, John Williams!
What's amazing about this film is that it was the first film to use CGI in this way and that was 18 years ago.Yet the CGI is flawless and bou setter than some of the films you see now like Moby Dick(2010).That movie was shit. The CGI in this film along with the storyline, acting and soundtrack will make it one of my favorite films.
i own an island, off the coast of costa rica, i've leased it from the government, and spent the last 5 years setting up a kind of biological preserve, totally spectacular, spared no expense. makes the one i've got down in kenya look like a petting zoo... how right you were john.
A great film. I try to watch it once a year, takes me back to my younger days. Spielberg can make some kick ass blockbusters. I also like how he handled the material. Jurassic Park is a great book, one of my fav's, but In my opinion a straight adaptation would have come out like a bad Syfy channel movie. His slight changes to the characters and making the movie more of a thrill ride worked better on film. Plus this has to be my favorite Williams score.
STUPID NEDRY! YOU JUST HAD TO MESS EVERYTHING UP! Imagine, if the stupid fat guy wasn't so stupid, he would have realized how much he would've ended up being paid if the park had opened!
a give a huge thumbs up for John Williams too, without him we wouldn't have felt the same way about the movie - and come on, who isn't transported back to the scene with the first brontosaurus (if that's what t was) the moment he/she hears the melody? :) Williams is a brilliant, brilliant man!!
@FriendlyCroock Yeah and in Jurassic Park the characters make the film...the dinosaurs are just the theme. Without the characters like Grant and John Hammond the film would be nothing.

those who love science know the best part of the movie was that of the park presentation when the fascinating science behind it was explained. I felt like i were there just beside Dr. Grant and as a child i had so many questions for that scientist using that lovely light blue suit. John Williams introduced me to the DNA molecule, I 'm proud to admit.
What's everyone think of the newly launched Prehistoric Channel? They're trying to be an actual tv channel one day. Good stuff for anyone interested. A real channel. A real place. Somewhere where everyone who's ever loved prehistory could gather and congregate.
Great film. Honestly a crown jewel of American cinema, up there with Steven's other achievements. And a little side note for you viewers...you haven't had the full Jurassic Park experience until you've read the book.
You know there's something about the "problem" of resurrecting dinosaurs that the scientists in this stressed, mainly Malcolm's arguments... LOL: They would never have had ANY problems at all-- if they only created herbivores XD... It's only the carnivorous ones that are dangerous =P. I mean people could just walk around without any fences and check em out.
@Gex9z If only your mother had the sense to flush when you were born, we wouldn't have to build fences around grade schools to keep the children safe.
@QuantumVaporization I'm amused by your desperate lack of a life! XD... You're scouring YouTube for videos I've commented on... JUST because I Owned your desperate ass on an argument =P. ROFL What a hopeless & pathetic disgrace. Now go back onto your other account "blacksamcooke" and start Trolling intellectually :]. What you said makes absolutely no sense. All you're doing is sucking my d***.
@Gex9z Are you suggesting that herbivores that grew to 40-50ft in length and weighed as much as a boat aren't dangerous? Because if so, you're full of shit.
@anodeforcruelty1 ROFL xD. Use your head. They can easily be controlled. Unless they feel threatened, there's no reason for them to attack anyone. What would have made me even consider what you just said would be if you mentioned seriously defensive ones like Triceratops and Stegosaurus, which would actually be dangerous if not kept in a secured enclosure.
@Gex9z did u see jp 3? maybe it was in jp 2 but i can really remember that one since i saw it like 7 monthes ago. if u are gonna be a smart ass about jp at least know what u are talkin about.
@benarutos "if u are gonna be a smart ass about jp at least know what u are talkin about." --- that made no sense whatsoever. I know exactly what I'm talking about and if you call this 'being a smartass' then you need to get out more.
About your other reply, that's technically true. But think about it --- would anything that happened in the plot of all three movies be anywhere near as catastrophic as it was if there were no carnivores? In JP1, they were standing right next to a Brachiosaurus.
@benarutos Clearly, I'm just stating an interesting point that people could consider. You're blatantly arguing against it as if I'm attempting to fanatically degrade the movie. Trust me, I'm not. You're just being a smartass by arguing against something that you shouldn't even waste your time starting an argument over.
When I was a small boy I loved Jurassic Park and I had plenty of small dinosaurs and I was playing with them all day long. Now im 20 and still love Jurassic Park and dinosaurs :). Its magical, great ! Just image that these mighty creatures were walking on the ground you are standing and living on...its amazing.
only memories the heart can hold come along with me through this movie. Now every time i hear the music all i can think about and see is being a little fiver year old who was scared to even watch it. And all the family vacations to universal studios and riding this ride just brings back the greatest memories anyone can even possibly dream about. This move shaped my child hood and makes me grin everytime i see it!
Someone please show me a movie that has been made in the last 5 to 10 years where a scene has grabbed you, held on, and never let go like this one. When The brachiasarus comes in and the music and visions do not let go. This movie is truely one of the last classics to date.
what an awesome film,,these are the films the movies are made for,,i still remember being a 18 yr old kid who saw this and it blew me away,,i left the movies delighted at being taken away into a different world for 2 hrs,,we really need more movies like this,,,i love it still and now my kids watch it with me and love it just as much.
I went on a Dino Dig because of this film (hosted by Peter Larson, no less- the guy who uncovered 'Sue'). If you like JP you should come visit our site: c4cs.tripod.com
I always loved that lake seen with the Brachiosaurus and the Parasaurolophus. This movie defined my childhood, I've watched it countless times. The first time I saw it I was 5 years old, and I can remember that I would always watch it everyday after school. No movie has shaped me as much as Jurassic Park has. <3
I sware, if they make the forth movie(witch they are, but its in the development stages) it better not look poor, else they'll ruin the original's reputation. The music alone was beautiful for this movie, it truly was the basis of my childhood. It absolutely left me awstruck and speechless at it's own marvel.
I love jurassic park more than anything,As a kid I had every toy of the dinosaurs, even the jeeps And it just sparked such imagination and wonder to for me.And it was the first movie I ever watched....And to this day I still get chills watching it...My entire childhood is in these films and more then that,It helped me earn an appriciation for film that made me sometime after wanna pursue film making:)
I like the acting by Sam Neill and Laura Dern when they first see the dinosaurs, it's how two paleontologists who have been studying dinosaur fossils for years should look when they see dinosaurs for the first itme.
I dont think this is one of my fav movies i think THIS IS MY fav movie! I love the music everything about it! I love it when i was a child i still love it and i'll watch JP so many times in my future! XD
The movie was also a big part of my child hood, I was arround 9-10 years old I think when I saw it in bio in denmark arround 1994:) back then I was an huge dino fan, most of the time I was drawing the jurrasic park logo everyday lol, and ofc dinosaurs:) the film was magic-it let you dream about a world which once were, and were epic creatrers ruled the world:) great movie:)great story/great actors:)
If that bastard Nedry hadn't been so fucking greedy none of that shit would have happened and Muldoon would still be alive. He's my favorite character.( R.I.P. Bob Peck)
This movie brought so many children's dreams to life on screen, including mine. Of course now over a decade later I hope I never get cornered by a raptor.
Your right about Star Wars. Jurassic Park is 1993, 2 is 1997 and 3 is 2001. But when I watch the 2nd, I always want to turn it off because I miss the 1st, and with the 3rd, I always miss the 2nd and the 1st. Although I like 2 and 3 I can never resist the urge to turn them off and watch the first. Also a tiny part of the music near the start sounds like music from Tomb Raider: Lara's Home.
@kitchenaut The scene when they're on the phone right? And easily the greatest movie ever made. Watching as I type this, just fed the Raptors. "They should all be destroyed."
I think that at the start of this music, before the familiar part comes, it kinda sounds like the music off Romeo and Juliet (1996) when they have both killed each other. Just my opinion.
Easily one of the best movies created by Steven Spielberg. I really wish he'd go back to this level of movie making. This goes for George Lucas well. Recently, Spielberg made the comment that movies should be for the entire family, and Jurassic Park did just that. What I don't understand is how Spielberg has come to the belief Jurassic Park is not a film for the entire family. Both he and Lucas have gone to making movies that are almost primarily directed towards kids. It's very disappointing.
jus dont get it, why was this entitled 'the magic of J.P' I faved it thinking that it would go thru the science and or the REAL possibility of cloning and or how much of the science behind the story actually holds up. ROFL What a hopeless & pathetic disgrace. Now go back onto your other account "blacksamcooke" and start Trolling intellectually :]. What you said makes absolutely no sense. All you're doing is sucking my d***.
Gex9z 1 year ago
@Gex9z Are you suggesting that herbivores that grew to 40-50ft in length and weighed as much as a boat aren't dangerous? Because if so, you're full of shit.
anodeforcruelty1 1 year ago
@anodeforcruelty1 ROFL xD. Use your head. They can easily be controlled. Unless they feel threatened, there's no reason for them to attack anyone. What would have made me even consider what you just said would be if you mentioned seriously defensive ones like Triceratops and Stegosaurus, which would actually be dangerous if not kept in a secured enclosure.
Gex9z 1 year ago
@Gex9z so being crushed by a 10 ton brachi isnt dangerous?
benarutos 1 year ago
@benarutos Would they have been "crushed by a 10 ton brachi" if there were only them in Jurassic Park 1??
Gex9z 1 year ago
@Gex9z did u see jp 3? maybe it was in jp 2 but i can really remember that one since i saw it like 7 monthes ago. if u are gonna be a smart ass about jp at least know what u are talkin about.
benarutos 1 year ago
@Gex9z being crushed by a giant dino is as dangerous as being eaten by one.
benarutos 1 year ago
@benarutos "if u are gonna be a smart ass about jp at least know what u are talkin about." --- that made no sense whatsoever. I know exactly what I'm talking about and if you call this 'being a smartass' then you need to get out more.
About your other reply, that's technically true. But think about it --- would anything that happened in the plot of all three movies be anywhere near as catastrophic as it was if there were no carnivores? In JP1, they were standing right next to a Brachiosaurus.
Gex9z 1 year ago
@benarutos Clearly, I'm just stating an interesting point that people could consider. You're blatantly arguing against it as if I'm attempting to fanatically degrade the movie. Trust me, I'm not. You're just being a smartass by arguing against something that you shouldn't even waste your time starting an argument over.

only memories the heart can hold come along with me through this movie. Now every time i hear the music all i can think about and see is being a little fiver year old who was scared to even watch it. And all the family vacations to universal studios and riding this ride just brings back the greatest memories anyone can even possibly dream about. This move shaped my child hood and makes me grin everytime i see it!

@TeddyNutsChannel Actually The dinosuars were more animtronic than CGI. They only used CGI on parts that were in possible to make. EX. T-REx chase
cristianhere321 10 months ago
@TeddyNutsChannel it really is funny how far CGI has progressed, yet not..........

@TeddyNutsChannel Thats because most of these are animatronic puppets! Puppets > CGI

Someone please show me a movie that has been made in the last 5 to 10 years where a scene has grabbed you, held on, and never let go like this one. When The brachiasarus comes in and the music and visions do not let go. This movie is truely one of the last classics to date.

I like the acting by Sam Neill and Laura Dern when they first see the dinosaurs, it's how two paleontologists who have been studying dinosaur fossils for years should look when they see dinosaurs for the first itme.

@kitchenaut
Gaznugget 1 year ago
@kitchenaut The scene when they're on the phone right? And easily the greatest movie ever made. Watching as I type this, just fed the Raptors. "They should all be destroyed."
Vampirosaurusrex 1 year ago
I think that at the start of this music, before the familiar part comes, it kinda sounds like the music off Romeo and Juliet (1996) when they have both killed each other. Just my opinion.
Gaznugget 1 year ago
i think they should re release this film.
there will now be a new bunch of kids who love dinosaurs, and have never heard of jurassic park. it would make laods

It's very disappointing.
thanes61 2 years ago
After the lastest 3 Star Wars which were neither for adults or kids but rather, some awful limbo Lucas can pretty much go fuck himself.
