  • @600trillion

That's not at all how the taxes work.

The PROFITS are taxed at 35% in theory, but with tax loopholes the majority of corporations aren't paying anywhere near that (it's closer to 17%).

Double taxation like you are talking about it a myth.

  • @600trillion Tell me what companies Mitt owns right now? He himself claims he is UNEMPLOYED! He says his incomes comes from investments and a "small amount" ($300,000) from speaking fees! So, Mr UNIFOMED what companies does Mitt own?

  • Income is income whether it comes from work or investments -- tax it!!!!!

  • What billionaires like Gates need to realize is, some of the rest of us aren't prepared, or otherwise don't have the expertise, to cut our own hair. Therefore, I think gov't subsidized haircuts are in order, to level the playing field even further.

  • Better idea, cut the pay of every single person in congress to the average American income (26k?). If the average income rises so will the congress' paycheck. It is time to make these out of touch politicians live like real Americans live. Watch how fast good paying jobs will mysteriously appear when its their asses living check to check.

  • @TOPWATER187

Two reasons why that otherwise good idea won't work.

First, they can buy and sell stocks based on what they learn in committee. Second, most of them were millionaires before being elected.

  • If you cut government spending, and reduce the size of wasteful government, then you can eliminate more taxes. Why is this so hard to understand?

  • Yea, tax the rich that will help, after all the rich just sit around and count their gold bars...they don't invest it and create jobs do they...Noooo they horde it in a dark room. OMG your stupid. Jobs come from wealth folks....simple, take the money from your employer and what will he do, cut back on his largest overhead ---> YOU! Lower everyones Tax's and lets get back to work and grow the country.

  • @jamesbtowle 66 percent of all jobs come from small businesses jackass. If you want to worship the rich do it within the confines of your own home, don't expect the rest of the country to follow your fascist religion

  • @fallenempireoverdrve ?? who do you think I was talking about when I said your "employer" fool!

  • @jamesbtowle I dont know, the 66 percent of corporations that literally pay no taxes at all or the millionairess the pay half the taxes that working class families pay

  • @fallenempireoverdrve Ok I see your point, I don't have the facts..so I will rely on you for that....soooo what are you suggesting, closing the loop holes.. Maybe a good way to bring jobs home....I'm all for that. But not wealth working and investing here in USA is all I'm saying...

  • @jamesbtowle well i guess that sound more reasonable but we cant create private sector jobs by lowering or raising taxes. we should be focusing on creating a green economy and rebuilding our infrastructure (by worker owned factories preferably) which would create millions of jobs.Lowering taxes on corporations, letting them pollute our air and water, deregulating the financial sector has never created a job. In fact tens of millions of jobs have been lost because of those policies

  • @fallenempireoverdrve ...no disrespect intended but your off onto another subject/s and much more study and research needs to be done to answer properly.

  • @jamesbtowle You are correct. The rich are creating jobs. Its just that they are creating them in China, India, Indonesia and Taiwan.

  • @pchtermino...your right they are, and none of us are happy about it. Lets figure out ways to bring jobs home. Taxing the rich is just not the answer. Lets's make the USA more attractive to business!

  • Nothing & no 1 is gonna 'fix' this system 4 everyone! At 64 i've come 2 realize (as Carlin says) "the game is rigged...it's a private/big club & we're not in it" My husband & i have lived paycheck 2 paycheck 4 over 40 yrs & we're still scraping (now needing 2 help w/grandkids). • taxing the rich will only slow down business instead we should tax the companies that are using factories out side of the states

  • The term you want to use is "Human Megaphone"....not "Human Microphone". A "Human Microphone" is an ear.

  • Taxing the rich will drive our country into a deep depression that ONLY Sarah Palin can get us out of with Palinomics!

  • I want everyone to have lower taxes... Rich or Poor we get taxed far to high. A person should be able to keep what they earn. Sales tax is the only fair sales tax.

Income tax is forced slavery. I work 5 days a week, 2 of those days I get zero pay. That is slavery.

  • Yeah, tax the rich!!!! That won't disincentive job producers at all.

And you wonder why factories close down in America at a rate of 15 per day. The Chinese are willing to work 12 hours a day ad live in dorms while being paid a lower wage. Americans can't compete with that.

  • The rich are the job creators. WHO DO YOU THINK IS TAXING YOU THE MOST, your government or the job creators. Think about it.> shelter (Rent), utilities (bills), fuel, food, and everything else. < We all work for those who provide all these things. Who's doing all the work? Who's getting back far more than they put in? The only ones being taxed IS the working class cause it's only a matter of time that taxes on the job creators are insidiously worked onto the backs of the workers/consumers.

  • @athews1976

It only makes sense that OUR government compensates for the taxes that the job creators evade or inevitably pass onto the consumer/workers. If a flat tax were ever implemented it would never actually be flat because of the political resourcefulness of the rich and powerful.

  • great job guys, and very cool human microphone graphics in the beginning

  • It's a no brainer. Just go back to a time when America was solvent and doing well...the rich paid much higher taxes. This is another leftover from the Bush Administration and like most things they left over they stank from day one and they stink more now. Tax the fucking rich...they can afford it. Where does Romney's money go? Into creating jobs? No in a big fat bank account in the Caymans.

  • The first step in getting our politics and country back in order: Get them informed.

  • Really Bill gates. Ya I admire him, but get an economist on.
