I agree with the sentiment expressed by these nudists. I dont feel trapped by fashion, I dont hide who I am behing clothing. I dont bow down to social conventions of who I should be or what I should look like. I dont feel the need to express myself by my chosen style of clothing. I dont need to take my clothes off to feel that way however. I am comfortable with myself both with and without clothing.

People need to stop associating Holland, Germany, Spain, and Scandinavia with all of Europe. Most of Europe is very prude and conservative about nudity/sex.

I think nudism is only a big deal because of religious dogma in America. I had a difficult time getting over it myself, but I feel a lot better now. I think nudism is generally just a place or culture where you can wear what you want or not, and not be hassled about your body or charged with exposure. I think nudists are usually very polite and hygienic so I don't see what's the big deal. If you just go to look at tits, you'll probably do better to go to some club for t instead o a nudist outfit

So many people think that the clothes you wear make you popular or better than everyone else. So nudity is equality. Nobody can judge you for the clothes you wear. I am a social nudist. I sunbathe nude, I swim nude. I was nude when I was born, and hey guess what?, I'll be nude when I die. If you have tried it and it wasn't for you, that is OK, at least you tried. If you haven't tried it, don't knock it til you do. It's all about freedom. Mine.
It's hilarious when you hear the opposition to nudism. They can't go any further than using the same cliche adjectives: indecent, dangerous, obscene, perverted, etc etc. But when you ask them to explain the connection TO those one-word descriptions, they can never elaborate. They just fall back on "It's just wrong!" or "It's against family/Christian values!" but they can never explain how the harm is done from point A to point C. They just react without logic.

I guess if you're naked around other people long enough, you cease to be conscious of it. Although I find it hard to believe that if women were naked around me, I wouldn't think about women sexually even more!
@DaveRyanFL - actually, most people find it far more arousing to be on a clothed beach with women wearing skimpy, enticing bikinis and thongs. Being around a bunch of people who are all naked can be a bit exciting at first but mostly new people are nervous and not sexually aroused. Even if it is a little arousing, it passes quickly if you are actually there to enjoy being naked. We just aren't as sexy naked as we are in skimpy swimsuits so it's really not a problem.
I have to admit, to me "nudism" is an odd subculture.
But I respect that it represents freedom to others, and I wouldn't want to be overly critical of a small group's personal expression of freedom. And it appears to me --as in the video I'm commenting on-- that there's a philosophy to it.

I am open minded and somewhat liberal thinking so I believe there should be areas that are designated for this. I just don't think that it is proper everywhere. Like where children are, or high population areas where the distraction could and would lead to a mob type of mentality. It's hilarious when you hear the opposition to nudism. They can't go any further than using the same cliche adjectives: indecent, dangerous, obscene, perverted, etc etc. But when you ask them to explain the connection TO those one-word descriptions, they can never elaborate. They just fall back on "It's just wrong!" or "It's against family/Christian values!" but they can never explain how the harm is done from point A to point C. They just react without logic.

To me naturism is about defiance of irrational and pointless, narrow-minded social norms and expectations, beliefs held only by weak-minded, conventionally-thinking, puritanical people, in favor of doing what is functional and comfortable for yourself, as well as a statement that your body is for your sake, your wants, your needs, not for the sake, wants, or needs of any other human being. I also think it is great for indulging in the sensual comfort as well as beauty of the human form.

@DaveRyanFL - actually, most people find it far more arousing to be on a clothed beach with women wearing skimpy, enticing bikinis and thongs. Being around a bunch of people who are all naked can be a bit exciting at first but mostly new people are nervous and not sexually aroused. Even if it is a little arousing, it passes quickly if you are actually there to enjoy being naked. We just aren't as sexy naked as we are in skimpy swimsuits so it's really not a problem.

What's your definition of immoral? I've never been arrested. I've never assaulted or killed anyone. I don't do drugs. I don't drive drunk. I respect other religions even if I don't share the beliefs. I pay my taxes. I'm not racist. But I like to take off my clothes on a hot day in a place where it's allowed. How immoral am I compared to say, a guy who steals your wallet but would never be nude in public or better yet, compared to a guy who insults those who keep to themselves?
