I was watching performances of this song from the 80s and 1993 and they seem to get better with age, more self-assured. I can listen 500 times in a row and I never tire of it
I like this song since the movie Trainspotting, really energetic and fresh, hoestly I only like this song by New order, this song is still fresh and engergetic today though it is made in 1984
yes so what? ur the only ones whom may appreciate this as a seminal song!!? no point talking to ur protege as they think they know it all thanks to our generation for givin them it all all on an a plate!! Wow hey man have u heard this mate?!! 30 YEARS LATE EH?????? Heh shit ive a terriblble attitude? Rock on!!! COME ON hooky and bury ur stupid pride!!
one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time, thank you for posting. Man, they still rock the house--they're like the heavy metal of new wave/synthpop.
1981....Pittsburgh, PA....I was 13 years old and hanging at the pool one summer day.....and this older girl asked me to come to her house to listen to some records after the swimming.
She put this song on....and turned her speakers up so loud it shook the house.
Yeah specially cause chances are you won´t get another chance since bassist Peter Hook doesn't speak to the rest of the band and has forbidden them from playing any New Order songs live. :-(
Bassist Peter Hook has some feud with lead singer/guitarrist Bernard Sumner, it happened 2 years ago. Hook has threatened to take Sumner to court if he plays anything as New Order. Sumner and the rest of the band have joined a former member of Blur under the nam Bad Lieutenant and will release an album soon. But don't expect synths, it´ll be mostly guitar pop.
New Order rule,im only 15 and have been listening to there music for about a year and it is sooo cooooool i wish i could of seen them live but aww well life go's on
A great version of my favourite ever song. I was at the concert, but sadly don't remember it as I had got hideously wrecked while it rained before New Order came on. I only really remember Digital. Shame.
I was shown this video on a message board months and months ago, and had never heard of New Order, but I can officially say this is one of my favourite songs of all time, now. Especially this live version.
I was at Finsbury Park for this and remember it raining right up til the moment New Order came on, then there was a rainbow, and Concorde flew over it....what an entrance!
New Order has really perfected the arrangement of this song to play well in large stadiums. I think this is the best live version of this song. Wish I was there. the energy of the audience is amazing
Awesome! A few years ago got overnight ferry to France and drove down south to this in Phil's Ford Sierra, even went wrong (English!) way around froggy roundabouts! Hi Phil and Rob :)
This isn't Glastonbury, but Finsbury Park a couple of years earlier. Granted, it was about as muddy as Glasto 2005, hence the confusion. Stevo isn't disinterested - he's concentrating!
