i wish people would stop criticizing her for her costume. yes i agree, its too revealing for children with a single digit for their age, but unfortunately its the norm, so you can't blame her for wearing it. Don't be mean trying to say there is "psycho dancing" in between tricks, this dance shows her dance skills....they had to replace the music because of copywrite (i would asume) that is not the real song she was doing for her dance, it would make alot more sence if you saw it with the right song.

Dena'h is awesome, no doubt, but that choreography was really not my cup of tea. Once you've seen her dance 'Sentimental' or 'Nostalgia', this one here looks almost silly. But then if she won 1st overall who am I do say anything :)

And as a fellow competitor/ performer, I would feel a tad bit dumb if I did a dance to let's say a high beat song like big noise and I came out in Pink tights a leotard and a tutu........ seriously?! To moderndancer16 its obvious that you are very jealous of this dancer. She trains harder than any dancer I know. if you haven't noticed, usually ALL dancers in these types of competitions are dressed this way. doesn't make it right but i guess it's something you've gotta get used to, especially if you wish to watch the hall of fame (etc) videos!
and not trying to be rude by any means, but when your compeating at a national level like Dena'h is...its go big or go home. Your judged on your full apperance, and if your costume doesn't sparkle and shine to a flashy song like "Big Noise" (what she's dancing to in the real video), you just airnt going to do well. She's in simple costumes in her Tokyo dances because thats what the choreography calls for.
This is the profession of dance-don't rip into her for it
it doesnt matter what the costume looks like they arent judging the costumes they are judging the dance so "Big Noise" doesnt have to have a shinig costume it would fit but it doesnt have to be used. the judge the dancers emotions and flare they put in it.

@browneyedgurl188 I don't think this was the song that she danced to on stage. I think youtube took it off so they put that song in it. I think the moves and costume were fine. when you are little like that the costume and the moves are not as innapropriaite because when she is doing them they seem more cute and she is like playing with the crowd.But if an older dancer does it it might seem a little innaproptiate.

To moderndancer16 its obvious that you are very jealous of this dancer. She trains harder than any dancer I know. The only reason you would post such comments is your own inability to dance like she does. The music you hear isnt even the music she did her dance too, so dont judge unless you want to be judged. Where are your videos so we can judge you?

yeah like she is really talented. she can turn all day and shes really flexible but her in between moves really suck. it seems like she could be a good dancer but she just needs a new choreographer.she looks really stupid sometimes in this dance..

this is confusing.
she's like all ghetto face nd chest pops.
nd her hips are going crazy.
then shes like all smiles when she does her turns, i think she needs to work on character, and let the dance speak for itself, it needs to flow a bit more as well.
it was kinda choppy, nd the styles dont match. shes amazing for ten years old tho.

if you haven't noticed, usually ALL dancers in these types of competitions are dressed this way. doesn't make it right but i guess it's something you've gotta get used to, especially if you wish to watch the hall of fame (etc) videos!

She isn't six? she's nine...
and not trying to be rude by any means, but when your compeating at a national level like Dena'h is...its go big or go home. Your judged on your full apperance, and if your costume doesn't sparkle and shine to a flashy song like "Big Noise" (what she's dancing to in the real video), you just airnt going to do well. She's in simple costumes in her Tokyo dances because thats what the choreography calls for.
This is the profession of dance-don't rip into her for it

it doesnt matter what the costume looks like they arent judging the costumes they are judging the dance so "Big Noise" doesnt have to have a shinig costume it would fit but it doesnt have to be used. the judge the dancers emotions and flare they put in it.

that is where your wrong. costumes are judged if you've ever looked at a competition score sheet there is always a costume section.

yeah and i wasn't trying to be rude either! and I'm not trying to "rip into her". I think she's an amazing dancer!!! I just don't think it's necessary to dress little girls in string bikinis. And it's not like she's doing a sweet little ballet dance she is being sexy and little girls shouldn't do that, i disagree and i think it's wrong.

I get where your coming from- but the comptitions i go to, costumes like this airnt unusual for kids starting at ages wayyyy younger than hers...
Atleast she's wearing tights, though, most studios anymore don't wear them...wich makes it cover more than a bathing suit...ha
