  • hey i got this, didnt get second core :(, i oc it to 3.2ghz with stock cooler which is a + because i paid like 25.00$ on it, and i got 2gb of ram with it, it is awesome!!!!!!!!!! i played online games with it so far like wizzy101, begone, c.s.s, and all that good stuff, is 88-90F good for a temp?

  • Hey, I'm toying with the Idea of buying one of these CPU's to build a linux box. (Ubuntu or Mint) I am pretty much wanting to use it as a system for torrenting linux distors, ripping my movies, playing some movies and playing the occasional game such as need for speed underground two for the old skoolness. I take it this CPU will be ok? I just don't feel like putting windows on my mac.

  • @themodmancarl The sempron 145 is in fact an Athelon II 4400+ with 1 core locked.

    If your motherboard can unlock the second core congratulations.

    You just got the cheapest powerful dual core at 2.8 ghz and you can overclock until like 3.4 with no stability issues.
