  • I worked for a Irani Family, both husband and wife had social problem. I hated them. I will never do that again. Food was good though.

  • @suskky......"advieh" is english for "allspice" its a combination of nutmeg, cinamon and somthing else which i cant remember. its just to help to emphasis the taste u only need a small amount of it..hope this helps :)

  • @ramonaomidvar actually that is not correct! Allspice is not a mixture of spices at all. It is one very specific spice....Advieh by contrast IS a mixture of different spices.

  • Thanks for the video but it would be more informative if the cook actually said how long she cooks every bit! How long did she boil the rice the first time? How long did she fry the meat? And what does “cook it until the meat is soft” mean?

    Iranian Adveyeh (which literary means additives) is a mixture of several different herbs and sweet peppers and a bit of hot pepper; but the mixture is very mild.

    It gives colour and taste to the food, and you can get it from most Iranian groceries.

    By the way, the thing bout the Iranian cuisine is that when you walk in the street you can say what the neighbors are cooking. The aroma travels 10s or even 100s of meters!

    And that is a torture in my opinion!
