This is 1 of 2 episodes where I've heard Kermit sing "It's not Easy Being Green." The other episode is w/ Peter Sellers. They're both episodes where the guest star's named Peter.
That Hatrack-joke truely became classic - as everybody and everything within this show; especially including Peter Ustinov!
Although he might not be at his best here, even then he's definitely magnificent in any way! The credit the Muppets give him is absolutely due and their in his work blend perfectly within this remarkable piece of television entertainment!
I don't know if the "psssss-ychiatrist" part was ad-libbed or not, but Kermit's recoil, the way he wipes his nose (and Miss Piggy also rubs spittle off his shoulder) is priceless! I also love how Ustinov's "alraaaaight" at 2:13 is pure Arnie. Thanks for posting!
@Bearkiller72 i was saddly and tragically born 2 years AFTER he died, so i never got to hear much about him. I envy all of those who got to grow up with his masterpieces, including this one
4:10 You know what? I'd be green.

That was so mean of Scooter asking Kermit "Would you rather be an international star or would you rather be a frog?"
solesirching73 10 months ago
@solesirching73 I wonder if that was a reference to the song "Swinging on a Star"

This was probably one of the funniest discussion panels, right? And Cynthia Addler was such a natural puppeteer.

"It´s not easy being green..." Hey, Kermit, , I´d always stick with you and keep your back clear - green is my favorite color!
(although Waldorf & Stadler are my favorite Muppet characters...sorry, Fozzie!)
Rest In Peace, Jim Henson, you were greater than Hitchcock and more imaginative than Spielberg!
Bearkiller72 3 years ago 28
I agree!
Jim Henson was a creative genius... and Kermit was his greatest invention.
mildetryth 3 years ago 10
yeah... - Kermit is great! I felled like wanting to hug him most of this show. - Jim Henson created a great frog there!!!
(Even though Kermit is just my second favourite... I like Gonzo a bit more...)
