  • Marilyn kept herself very fit with a serious yoga like regiment and ice water baths scented in Chanel no. 5; and it worked!

FYI: The Size 12 is a REAL dress size 12 (like wedding dress or european standard sizes, which is a current US size 4 or 6).

  • Most Americans suffer from a sexual psychosis--a twisted embarrassment about our bodies, and a stunted, frustrated desire at the same time. Things which most of the world grew out of a long time ago. We're sexually immature, and easily titillated. That's almost a direct quote from a Swissair pilot, following Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction."

  • did he call her the 'late' marilyn monroe, hhmmmm

  • SO WHAT???! She wore a beautiful, gauzy, fairylike costume. She looked beautiful and sang "Happy Birthday" as if attending a child's Birthday party. She did not know she was interacting with extremists who were about to make our president go away. She was an innocent, as we all were at that time. (I was only 6.)

  • My reaction is that somebody killed "the late" Marilyn Monroe.

  • @hereigns56 : According to the biography by Mr. Spoto, Marilyn's psychiatrist saw that she was getting better, and would soon no longer need his services. He had fallen in love with her, and couldn't bear the the thought that she'd soon be getting on with her life. You can read the rest for yourself. Common, public "history" lies like a rug.

  • they are differences in this documentary and Marilyn Monroe the final days something is off here

  • You have to realize that a size 12 back then is about a size 6 today.

  • Weird how he announces her as the "late Marilyn Monroe"

  • @scorpietta he was referring to her infamous tardiness. Late as in late for appearances.....

  • @scorpietta I know, just coincidental.

  • Her laugh is intoxicating.

  • I was born in 1990! :) I used to be a size 12 and I could never look as good a she did at a size 12.

  • That mr president performance is what got her killed.Freinds and everybody told her dont even try that. She just had a lonely heart

  • Why did that get her killed?

  • @stephenpaultaylor everyone told her dont go to that jfk Bday part singing sexy .SHe really almost fucked up his presidential seat. She wanted to expose the affair.JFKs camp could not have that

  • but how do you know she had intentions of exposing the affair? that's just conjecture

  • @stephenpaultaylor

The idea that MM was going to "expose" her so-called affairs with the Kennedys comes from two people who never knew her--Robert Slatzer and Jeanne Carmen, two total frauds. Marilyn was trying to save her career, not wreck it with crazy press conferences--it never would have happened. This was 1962--nobody did that kind of thing!

  • cuz they say she knew too much about the dirty games of politics cuz she supposely had an affair with the president

  • it was a suicide, buddy

  • sure

  • @stephenpaultaylor yeah sure and jfk kept his dick in his pants

  • i'd die to look like her, I want a figure like hers she's just a natural healthy curvy women with flawless skin.

  • i wanna bang her

  • missed your chance i'm afraid....

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • OMG, don't start with that Kennedy conspiracy. Read the actual documentation and stop believing the likes of Bob Slatzer and Jeane Carmen. THERE WAS NO KENNEDY INVOLVEMENT IN HER DEATH!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don't beleive ANY of the conspiracy therories including the one Donald Spoto made up, essentially acusing Dr. Greenson and Mrs. Murray of murdering her with a "fatal enema." I believe in a brief moment of despair, she did kill herself. She didn't plan it, and had she survived that night would have gone on--though not very happily, I daresay. She had so many issues.

  • YEAH!

  • I think the Kennedy brothers had something to do with her death

  • prove it

  • OK! Open your mouth and close your eyes and then I'll give you a big surprise!

  • does anyone know, since when Marilyn had that 18th century point on her face?

  • Size 12 is what REAL women used to look like.........

  • I saw some of her Niagra costumes, and the skirt looked every bit like 10-12, very hippy. She's lost 15-20 lbs before this movie started, so it makes sense that this particular dress is so small. That gold souffle material was like a soasuage casing. It breated with her, so there was lots of "give" to be given.

  • Marilyn was also a size 12 during the Misfits. She was beautiful no matter what size she was.

  • She even says, in "The Misfits" that she is a size 12. And that's about as big as she got, onscreen, anyway. She was much more bosomy in "Some Like It Hot" because she was pregnant during that film but miscarried later.

  • she's the most beautiful girl i've seen in my life... and i'm 36 years old... the MOST BEAUTIFUL... hands down.

  • @Pearlmonroe um she was but you got admit she was a little chubby in 1961 but look i am obsessed with her just so you know

  • 6:46 what a body!

  • yeah she was amazing people say she was a size 16 but she wasnt

  • curvygirl1123, when I went to Cristies back in 1999, Monroe's happy birthday gown was on display prior to the auction. I asked the attendant what size the gown was. She said by today's standards, it would be a size THREE. The gown was so small!! And a tiny waist.

  • i thought as much i have never understood why people have said she was a size 16 coz its obvious to look at her she wasnt she looks tiny and wow what a gown to see i bet it was amazing did you buy it ?

  • curvygirl1123, maybe during LET'S MAKE LOVE and SOME LIKE IT HOT Monroe was a 12, but certainly NOT in 1962!! I just sent another friend my experience at Christies, I'll send you a personal message right now. Mason

  • P.S. Did I buy the gown? Err, no, didn't have the millions on me at the time, forgot my wallet at home. Shucks

  • @curvygirl1123 She gained and lost a lot of weight frequently, but really it's unimportant. People who only care about her weight are shallow. It's terrible how America is.

  • @curvygirl1123 The size16 thing is supposedly a european size sense a lot of her costumes/clothes were tailor made for her and shipped in. apparently at the time a euro size 16 is an american 12. But honestly her weight fluctuated throughout her life. But honestly nobody can compare themselves physically to her. her body was so drastic in it's size there are very few people in the world with an hour glass figure so extreme. The Smithsonian had to have mannequins made for her clothes.
