@cationmoted the type suspension has nothing to do with the type axle. you can put hydralics and air suspensions on solid axles too. the chainlink's suspension is mounted on the side and can flex up and above the truck itself. a solid axle can never do that. and who needs massive amounts of flex? this video just proved you dont because im pretty sure the hummer litterally drove over with no flex needed. why do all four tires have to be on the ground to be concidered good?

@markssite the reason the chainlink can move up and down (w/o using the coils suspension) is because of the hydralic pump. it cant move by its self. not all vehicles have differential locks unlike the hummer. and having all tires touching the ground without differential locks drastically improves traction while decreasing the chance of a roll over, plus as i said before solid is just more simple and reliable but i do respect your opinion

@markssite I took a STOCK 1975 full size chevy up carnage. the only mod it has was 33" mudders. still smaller thatn thentires on a hummer. And you are right, independant suspension is more than capable for flex, but if you are looking for lots of articulation, solid axle is the way to go.

@CommandoX11 the hummer h2 and h3 from the factory they are about the toughest vehicals you can buy without buyin a h1. the h2 has 35's from the factory and a powerful 6.0 with a locking rear diff. the h3 is on 33's from the factory and can be bought with the 300hp 5.3 and lockin rear diff. if you live in the city but like to wheel on the weekends buy a h3.
