  • So over all guys what should i get the virtual gravity or the invasion?

  • How do you do a comparison video with 2 completely different drillings?

  • I can't wait I already have a Virtual Gravity, now sometime this week I'll be getting an Invasion! They are both great balls and I can't wait to improve my already amazing Storm lineup!

  • Love this video, thinking of going 5 1/2 x 4 though. Any know the music in this video, by name or artist or any info? Thx......Brit, what tune is this?

  • This guy knows how to do a comparison video. Finally someone throws a line with one ball and then throws the same line with the next ball to show the difference in reaction.

  • As a ball driller myself, I question the drilling layouts for both balls in this video. Additionally, the layout for the Invasion has a very poor Pin-CG-Mass bias. The CG is negative...

This video doesn't display the true potential of either ball, and I think they intentionally are making the Invasion look aggressive next to a very week VG drilling. Pin under the ring, with thumb 2.5-3 inches from Mass Bias would be a much stronger drilling for either ball, especially on that lane surface.

  • @SELLSHAKO All Layouts are based on my PAP, so everything is equal. Cg distance is insignificant on strong assymetrical bowling balls such as these. The only thing CG distance will determine is static weights.

  • I completely understand the CG distance being insignificant, but it does play a role in how the ball eventually is weighed, and meets USBC regulations, to some extent. And, again, those layouts may be based on your PAP, but more common and effective layouts for higher-end aggressive coverstocks with non-polished and non-pearl coverstocks would include pin under or off the side of a ring finger. I'm not saying these layouts are wrong, I'm just suggesting displaying other layouts...

  • Static weights on both these balls ended up being within 1/2 oz. Not near enough to alter reaction. Placing the pin under or to the side of my ring finger would place the pin somewhere between 3.5" to 4" from my PAP. That is a very high flaring layout and with my ball speed, a ball as strong as this one would flare out well before it reaches the pins. The layouts i have on these balls allow them to meet their maximum potential (for me) on the oil patterns being tested on.

  • @videoballreviews id hate to ruin the heated discussion about gibberish, but personally both balls are insane and it just depends on the person's needs.

  • hello. nice ball! :-) is the next ball on my list. i also have 2 other storm balls and they are very good!

also a nice sund in the video. from where is the soundtrack (name)?

  • From what I've seen, Storm balls are seriously good, but I like my Scout Reactive from Columbia 300. :) Remember, partially the ball, mostly the bowler.

  • listen i am a HUGE storm fan and there is only reason i will not get this ball, if it hooks more than the VG it will absorb more oil than the VG, and i dont want a ball that will only last for 2 to 3 months, and that would be a big waste of money

  • @mofiaman83

maybe you should try cleaning your bowling balls after everytime you use them. it will make them last a lot longer.

  • Clean them! Also, just because a ball hooks more doesn't mean it absorbs more oil. This ball has a different coverstock than the VG. As new bowling balls come out, they absorb less and less oil than the predecessors. This will last alot longer than anything in the widow series, those balls are sponges.

  • nice bowling alley

  • drill that gravity more aggressive and it will do the same thing...

  • this is going to be the most used ball of crankers.

the core creates such a powerful hop to the left, and the pin carry is uncannily efficient. people will stand left and watch it come back with real power, no more weak ten pins with this ball. put a weaker pearl cover on that, and it could dominate dry lane conditions if drilled properly!!

  • @bowlerfromheaven let me tell you something im a strong cranker ball speed:19 mph and rev:535 in florida here we are hammer and to tell you with those new raw hammer series and the new jigsaw those pin will not stay behind 78 people threwe 300 games last week with the raw hammer jacked and black widow nasty and on dry lane 300 with the razyr so think again what you say about crankers

  • i didn't say crankers were bad, i just said this ball will work well for them.

  • Not trying to be antagonistic here (I'm sure you'll notice from the username), but are the new balls in the Widow line as apt to die as quickly as the original Widow?

I've been throwing the original Widow for about a year and a half (have had it resurfaced about halfway between), and there's not much left in the tank. I'm getting a Storm VG punched up right now, and I'll see how it lasts compared to the BW.

  • Im still debating on the VG, VE, or should i wait for the INVASION...and im looking to get the 2nd Dimension or Reign for my 2nd ball...decisions, decisions...

  • It all depends on what you are bowling on, rev rate, ball speed, and axis tilt. The 2nd Dimension is an awesome ball and I mostly use that on our house shot. Never been able to use the VG. The VE I have used a lot more as of late since they are putting down more oil.

  • @MylFacelJuice

i got a reign about a month ago, and since i got it, i have been averaging 230 using predominantly that ball. i have never thrown a ball that reads the midlanes and continues moving through the backend and through the pins so well. incredible continuation. from what ive seen, the VE picks up a little bit earlier than the reign. both are great balls, but just from my personal experience, i would go with a reign. the reign of fire looks great for heavier oil too

  • You gotta be kidding me...

  • Comment removed

  • LOL.

  • that was my first reaction too. Then i got my invasion this week, threw it, and said wow for probably an hour straight.

  • I'm glad I subbed to you. I should be getting my Virtual Gravity today!!

  • cool
