I STARTED THE SERIES AT WEEK #7 FOR THE OBVIOUS,THEN QUICKLY DECIDED TO ENJOY FROM THE BEGINNING, PLEASE EXCUSE ME FOR ANY REDUNDANT QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS.. I WOULD IMAGINE NOT GETTING ATTACHED TO THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS MIGHT BE DIFFICULT. SO THAT BRINGS ME TO THE FIRST QUESTION.. THE LITTLE CUTIE THAT PECKED AT THE CAMERA ,DID HE / SHE GET A NAME ? AND AFTER THE FIRST NAME YOU WOULD HAVE TO IDENTIFY THE OTHERS..I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL WITH THE COUNT.HOW MANY ? ABOUT OUT OF CHARACTERS,SO TIL WEEK 2
@LHRT229 First of all, I really glad and thankfull that you seem to enjoy watching these beautiful little goslings.
To beginn with, there were 11 goslings who succesfully hatched and managed to get to the pond, accompanied by their parents. After just 3 days, one gosling has been predated by a carrion crow. I know this because, I was unfortunate to have witnessed it and as I tried to run after the crow, who had the screaming gosling in his bill.
The second setback came, when everything seemed to go really well, until I came on the 14th day, I just counted 9 goslings. Since that day, I'm glad to report, that there have not been any further losses.
It is very difficult to tell goslings apart the first few weeks, as they don't really have any features which differs from the other ones.
Sweet work! Neat looking Geese, have never seen or heard of the Egyptian Geese. Are they a pest like the Canadian Geese, or are they a treat. Great looking colors.
Oooooooh, they are sooooooooooooooo cute. Little bobbing bits of fluff. I am spellbound, especially when they are all in the water, and then when that one lone one is running along the shore. Love the way they call to their young. Thank you SO much for sharing.
Egyptian Geese are beautiful little birds.
I was happy to have seen a couple families of them growing up, over a few years at Mile Square Park near where I used to live.

DO YOU HAVE NAMES FOR THEM OR THE PARENTS..ARE ANY OF THEM TAGGED, SO THAT THEY CAN BE TRACKED..

@LHRT229 Yes the parents do have names. The male is named Beto and the female Della.
I have considered tagging, but the lack of informations and resources I've got has made it impossible up to this point.
