  • i love it! go vegan :)

  • Thanks for posting. How do you maintain weight, and don't have to eat more three meals per day without being hungry on vegan diet?

  • @williamta01 Eat a big breakfast and lunch and a very small supper, like bread and fruit. Drink plenty of water.

  • chocolate and meat have 0 in common. his information is extremely biased by his sponsors. i eat tons of meat/cheese and no chocolate/sugar, and my cholestoral is amazing

  • @edwinshap1 This whole thing isn't just about cholesteral. cheese can be beneficial if it is from grass fed cattle, and raw goat milk can also be good for the body

  • @edwinshap1

Could you clarify how his research is biased? I would check the china study, harvard research on 7th day adventists, the United Nations, the american dietic association, the canadian dietic asoociation, the cancer project etc. before making a falsely based opinion as a fact.

  • @edwinshap1 high cholesterol isn't usually a big issue until mid thirties-forties. probably not going to have any problems with it in your twenties. and no chocolate/sugar? come on! just because you don't buy hershey bars doesn't mean you're not getting a ton of sugar in your diet. do you only drink water? never have any sweets or desserts? ice cream? white bread? french fries?

  • @0ntology wow, for one you must really believe whatever you're told. look up big fat fiasco, it explains that not one of the so called "facts" about cholesterol and fat are true. and i do only drink water, i don't have desserts, grains, or ice cream, because apparently thats not the same as a dessert.

  • @edwinshap1 we're never going to find unbiased "information". just because you trust one source over the other doesn't make you less gullible than i am, i believe maybe about half of what neal barnard throws at us. and big fat fiasco is just as much bullshit as this is! you're being just as judgemental as i was in my post! and bravo on pointing out that ice cream is a dessert (because that's relevant), i was emphasizing ice cream in particular b/c it's such a popular sweet.

  • @0ntology i'll say this, i was speaking to the former head of surgery at UCLA medical center, and he said that cholesterol is synthesized by the body depending on what we eat, not extracted from what we eat. I dug a little and realized the insulin (the hormone that deals with blood sugar levels) is one of a few dealing with carbohydrates, and it's solely those that are the small/dense LDLs that can actually build up in arterial walls.

  • @edwinshap1 lol what the hell does that have to do with any of this? you know.. i don't even disagree with you! i wholeheartedly believe all the added sugar and refined carbs is the real problem in most ppls diets. all i said was "high cholesterol isn't usually a big issue until mid thirties-forties. probably not going to have any problems with it in your twenties." b/c you posted something about your cholesterol being great & i saw your age said 21 on your profile. i thought it was silly.

  • @edwinshap1 also just because your body synthesizes cholesterol doesn't mean you won't get extra from eating certain foods. your body will synthesizes a lot of things, even carbs when you need them!

  • @0ntology untrue. cholesterol is only synthesized, animal cholesterol you eat will not be used in your body, primarily because they will be broken down in the stomach just as any other lipid/protein will.

  • @edwinshap1 diet can cause you to produce less or more chol. to keep your levels regulated.. and saturated fat can cause you to produce too much chol, so you are getting extra chol. from food. dietary chol. is probably the only reason we ever need to eliminate chol. through bile/poop. so it is being put to use, just not any good use! the chol. used for essential processes is only synthesized. and since we're arguing over a technicality i think i'm done! have a nice life!

  • this is a great source of health info. thanks.

    really helpful!!

  • phenomenal
