  • @Beatlesonlyblog Yea that's fine, if it's on You Tube it's public domain to download, but thanks for being courteous and asking. Thanks for posting to FB. You know you could use the "share" button under the video and FB will be an option, much less fuss and quicker, it shows up on your FB page. I use it all the time I share to FB.

  • @Beatlesonlyblog Yea, it's a sore spot, these publishers don't realize they are hurting exposure to their songs and therefore potential sales. There is usually an iTune pop up right under the cover video of that song that allows the user to purchase the song from that artist.

  • Excellent drummer by far

  • @rms6042 Thanks for watching.

  • @rhythmantic hi there again.

i,m suprised to see that you do,nt have any problem drumming to beatle songs ,

but you are blocked on , what is life .

i have read that if you ,( retitle ) the song , you can sneak it passed the , blue meenies .

so have a go and see what happens .

    p s , do you do any , stones stuff ?

i,d love to hear you cover all of their stuff too . cheers from , jimmy : ) .

  • @j7777777 Retitling doesn't work, there is a digital fingerprint that YT scans and makes a match to the ID in their database.

I've covered quite a few Stones songs. I have 405 videos uploaded on my channel and some of them are Stones. Check it out, use the Search engine above the song titles.

  • @j7777777 hi there , thanks for the info , strange how they allow ,beatles !!

anyway , i,ll check your stones tracks too , cheers , jimmy .

  • Great job! Just wondering, why is the song so sped up?

  • @gbaby627 To get it past YT customs. Hate messing with the speed, have had to do it only 3 times, but I'd rather do it than not because I want to share it. It's an issue of whether I slow it down or speed it up, what sounds better? For this cover, it was sped up, for Happy Christmas War Is Over, it was slowed down. It's lame, but so is this whole business of copyright infringement, it only hurts the artist/band/publisher from exposure and potential sales.

  • @rhythmantic I see, thanks for answering me!

  • why the hell is it so fast????

  • Great job. Ever thought about doing any Them Crooked Vultures?

  • @JefferstChmilst Thank you. No, I haven't. There's so much material from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. that I want to cover, let alone, all the jazz fusion stuff from the 70s, like Weather Report, Chic Corea, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and the funk stuff of Tower of Power.

  • @rhythmantic We played "Birdland" by Weather Report in my high school jazz band. Good stuff. We had an awesome drummer.

  • @JefferstChmilst Excellent! I'd like to cover that, and Teen Town, and others.

  • @rhythmantic That sounds pretty friggin rad, Sal.

  • @JefferstChmilst Cool, thank you. It's one of my favorite from George. The drummer on this cut is the same guy who plays on Clapton's Layla, Jim Gordon.

  • Great job Sal,I love this tune and I'm very glad that you sped it up,it definetly deserves to be on Utube. Thanks again,I've got a few vids that I might try this on.

  • @33PETERPAUL Thanks Paul. It's either slow down or speed up, whatever sounds better. I've only had to this lately with 2 other tunes.

  • Cool. All Things Must Past was my favourite lps when I was in the first grade up until now! :-)

  • Is it really at this speedy tempo? Jeez, I must be slowing down!

  • @powergirl901 No, you're very fine, you have good ears. The video was sped up by 7% so that it wouldn't be blocked by YT. The first time I uploaded this video it was blocked worldwide. I hated to speed it up, but I've heard from others that this method is a way to get it past customs.

  • @rhythmantic Cool! It seems to work well for this purpose. I'm just glad you're not mad at me for suggesting tunes for covers that you'd rather not do!

  • AWESOME is true talent! thanks my friend :)

  • Thanx Sal :-)

  • Oh so THAT'S how you're doing it. That's good to know. I had read a headline, but not the whole article, that YouTube had setteled the copyright issues with publishers. Ya know there's so much content on YouTube and other services, they can't possibly think that they can go after everybody.

  • @dcrimmen No I'm not, only with this song and John's Happy Christmas because those 2 covers were blocked worldwide when first uploaded, except in UK & Ire for John's, so I pulled George's cover, re-rendered it fast & re uploaded, slowed down John's song and re-uploaded and they got through. Blocking covers like mine hurts the artist/band/publisher because it prevents exposure to the song & those iTunes pop-up ads for the potential sales of purchasing the song.

  • @dcrimmen Dave thanks for the tip on article, wasn't aware of it. The following from the article and the latter (ads) is what most often happens with my covers:

If an unauthorized copy is found on YouTube, they can opt to have it automatically deleted or have the possibility to enable ads to show up next to it, splitting the ad revenue with YouTube, though not necessarily with the original uploader, even if the video in question is a remix, mashup or so on.

  • GREAT Job Sal. My FAV George -Solo- single, bought it whem I was in High School and it was a hit then. I've been toying with the Idea of having the band do a tributie to John, Paul, George & Ringo. Note I did not say a Tribute to the Beatles. :-) This would be one of the songs we'd do. Is that Ringo on the recording? I know Clapton is on it.

  • @dcrimmen Thanks Dave. It's the great LA session drummer, Jim Gordon, who was with Derek & The Dominoes, he played on the Layla album, as well Mad Dogs & Englishman w/Joe Cocker. Sadly, Jim is currently serving time in an institution somewhere in Calif for killing his mother. If you do a Wikipedia search on the album you'll see who the other session players are. Klaus Voorman is one, yes, Clapton. as well as many others you may well know. Had to speed up the video by 7% to get past YT copyright.

  • Very good cover! You take out the most of your drum!Congratulations Sal!

  • Did you speed the song up or is this the way this recording was done?

  • @senrab316 Good for you, you have a good ear. I played to the song at normal speed, uploaded it and it got blocked worldwide. Re-rendered the video at 7% faster, re-uploaded it and it's now available worldwide. I really dislike doing that, but I really like how the cover came out and want to share it. It was either that or slowing it down.

  • song is to fast?

  • I can´t believe it !!! Finally I could see and hear your vid !!!!!!!! All the last ten or more covers from you, I have not been able to watch ! Great drumming Sal !!! And it is a great song ! thumbs up! Karen :-))

  • @karenmuenchen Thanks. Unfortunately most of my covers are blocked in your country, which I think hurts the artist/band/publishing because the exposure and potential sales are cut. Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for this song. It is like dedication to George, whom I miss dearly.

  • Very good. Glad I subscribed to your channel. How long does it take you to learn a song?

  • @azintrepid1 Depends on the song, if it's straightforward or complex.

  • Nice song and cover Sal

  • @readyeddy101 Thank you, Nick, my 2nd attempt at uploading it without it getting blocked.

  • GOOOOOD JOB MATE!
