She's a NOBODY who doesn't deserve to be singing at the White House. She's not like the amazing SUTTON FOSTER at all who can outsing, outdance, and outact her. Idina is a mediocre performer compared to Sutton Foster. Sutton Foster does a way better Defying Gravity rendition on Youtube than all of Idina's "best" performances combined!

Funny, Sutton doesn't seem to have had all the success of Idina. Did she begin two monumental roles, in two of the most monumental shows in Broadway Theatre? Not to mention the fact that she has been hired not only for her acting, but singing and dancing as well. Sutton is phenomenal, but is not at the song that was basically made for Idina.

She has really worked on her voice since she left the West End run of Elphaba. Her tone is so much more listenable here than it was (even in Chess in Concert). If THIS Idina was Elphaba, and this smart about using a mix voice, I would have enjoyed her from the rip. The battle cry at the end...her tone sounded so much more free than it was.

Idina Menzel is absolutely amazing. I saw some negative comments further back, and I really, reeeally disagree. I would seriously like to see you do better- this is a difficult song and Idina performs it to perfection. It is most definitely not touched up, it sounds nothing like the recording.
