And I'm not too fond of people against globalization. Naturally, with globalization, there's globalization of the economy which has admittedly unpleasant aspects, but political globalization could, as you say, MA, bring about great things, ensuring human rights around the world, keeping peace in a humanitarian way and so on.
I find anti-globalization and anti-modernity to be based on irrational fear, keeping us from enjoying these benefits. I'm not entirely pro, but I am against these fears.

You know what I find ironic? In this day and age with the Internet and all this information at our fingertips, people could find out practically everything about the world and have a better understanding. But most people don't. It seems they stick to specific news sources because they want to be right and people are inherently biased, no-one wants their view-point proven wrong.
That said, the patriotism quote at the end really speaks to me. Patriotism really is the cause of many problems.
