Studio sessions are tiring as hell and can get very frustrating, he's just having some fun fooling around like musicians (not to mention human beings) sometimes do. They may have had fair reasons to kick him out but fooling around the studio a little just ain't one.

he does varying types of vocals, and in the clip, he is using fry, so it sounds very quiet. he has a lot of diversity, and most of the time he uses the growling hgih pitched false chord screams. so dont diss shagrath, hes talented at his art.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of DB and I admire Shagrath's vocals, but it's clear that a lot of effects get put on in post. That clip I mentioned was from The Chosen Legacy - listen to the actual song and you'll see what I mean.

I'm a vocalist myself, and study a lot about vocals (it's a nerdy obsession of mine), and there's no reason why that sound couldn't be done properly other than the fact that his voice is getting worn out (which happens to most singers of that style eventually)

i must admit, it was a fairly weak scream, and they do add a sizeable amount of effects. But on their live videos, his voice sounds amazing, and to me, the live voice is what counts.

Yes, from most of the live videos I've seen, his voice has been fairly good - which makes this revelation all the more surprising! Perhaps they use a bit of reverb and volume on his mic for the live shows? He wouldn't be the first vocalist to use it, that's for sure!
