I believe this to be Lang Lang's interpretation. He recorded this piece for the soundtrack of The Painted Veil. And I know what you mean about this interpretation being just perfect. :) It's just so precise and reserved.

Your video is pure escapism. Enjoyed the series massively and this video is just an excellent extension of it. Very, very well made.
Just a note on the casting: they both are very beautiful people, doesn't really fit the character description. :D Nevermind. Just a little note.
