  • this song is on my ipod!!!!

  • This is so cool...they should have done a whole album together!

  • High Society <3

  • sly and pfieffer

  • odd to watch this coming up on 9/11... filmed 10 years previous

  • very average

  • love this gem

  • Nice video!

Hey YouTube! YouTube! Do me a favor and add a scrollbar so that we can watch the video plus check out videos like this where the uploader has graciously added lyrics. (Also, so we could read user comments while we watch the video but uploader comments alone would suffice.) You know kinda like the scrollbar that I see here on my right as I type this very comment.

    Just food for thought YouTube......

  • Thank you very much for lyrics!

  • yeah - if i had debby as mom and iggy as dad.....

...lol - mobile phone at 1:06

  • Iggy Pop refers to himself as the "forgotten boy" in Search and Destroy and Debbie says "drink up, Jimmy" -his real name.

  • love this! iggy pop and deborah harry do it sooo well!

  • LOVE

  • SWELLEGANT!

  • Actually, the original was by Charles Walters & Betty Grable in "DuBarry Was a Lady". when the movie version was made with Red Skelton they decided not to use it. It wasn't until 1956 when the same Charles Walters signed on as director of "High Society" and put it to use for that fabulous duet by Frank & Bing....I always loved the line about how "she got pinched in the Astor Bar"

  • Well, have you ever?! Iggy pop covered this song? Oh my. And made together with this swelegant debbygirl an awesome video to it!

    Well have you ever..

  • I literally started crying a second ago because I wish we could have better music today. Better everything today. It's just different.

  • 6 people are lame balls

  • Oh my god Debbie, if only you knew <3 And you too, Iggy ;)

  • to be honest this does no justice to the real song

  • @EvilMatt123 Oh c'mon you gotta admit they got swagger

  • Digging the Un Chien Andalou reference.

  • "what cocks" Lo>oLoLoL

  • What a great pairing. I love Debbie and Iggy is the coolest.

  • Swellagent, but the original is by Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra, as most of you will know.

  • I guess 6 people have no sense of irony. Pretty silly to dislike this. You always end up on the wrong side if you decide to dislike something that's clearly self-depricating...

  • It was for a collection of artist for the red hot asn dblue album for aids fundraising

  • I love this video. Thanks to the UK magazine Mojo for publishing a link to it in their weekly email newsletter! The Ig and Deborah Harry still rule today! :)

  • That was disturbing ! I guess even Debbie is allowed one bad choice. :(

  • this is weird....in a good way :) Doesn't beat Frank Sinatra & Bing Crosby though.

  • for the red hot n blue album

  • We need more records like this in the top 40. Rock'n'roll and pop has become too serious and self-conscious for its own good. Thank god that rock still has a sense of humour somewhere. :)

  • Can't believe how normal Iggy looks with his hair short and pasted back lol. Debbie Harry tho not as slim as she was still bloody fit. Oi Debbie, never mind French Kissing in the USA, bring it here lol

  • fucking brilliant !

  • Swellegant!

  • great !

  • HOW DARE YOU ???

We call them ants over here , termites are alien to us !

    Great song btw .

  • Great Duet! Two Rock Legends! Love Debbie's sarcasm in this song! LOVE DEBORAH HARRY AND BLONDIE!

  • O_O, i vomited

  • Fuck yeah :)

I loved this when it came out

  • Fucking brilliant !!! AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Iggy and Debbie are awesome. Love this version!

  • first league!

  • haha i luv Iggy Pop!!!

  • I can't believe Debbie Harry is 45 there!!

  • this was considered one of the best songs off of red hot and blue. god it was for aids awareness. i love it! those two were probably so high...what a swell party it is,]

  • underground elegance

  • This is so wonderfully funny. Poor Young Urban Professionals.

  • if you don't compare it too the original, then it's a brilliant rendition! and the lyrics are just too funny. iggy looked pretty good then! whereas debbie still looks hot as ever haha.

  • The one in High society is also a cover.

  • Leave it for Frank and Bing.......the origonals are still the best.

  • The original is from "DuBarry Was a Lady", 1939.

  • dude looks like a lady?

  • I can't help but love this version as well as the original from "High society", both for different reasons. Gee, Deborah Harry looks so radiant! hehe must lover her facial expressions, she makes me giggle xD

  • The original is from "DuBarry Was a Lady", 1939.

  • "Swellegant!"

  • iggy, debbie, pure love♥

  • I won't forbid to like this!

    It's just my opinion.

  • FRANKIE AND BING..SORRY

  • you can't be that sorry if you said it xxxhemplerxxx

  • @WHORUTOQUESTIONME ok, I'm not sorry, but this version still sucks....

  • too bad

  • Isn´t that Lenny Krawitz behind the divine couple walking trough what looks like NYC in like scene at like 1min..???

  • Debbie looks almost the same in 1990 as she did in 1978...

  • I love this song. I love both Debbie and Iggy doing this great cover...

  • Original is great but I love this one too!! I remember when Red Hot and Blue came out,,what a great cd!!

  • I walked onto the set......as such......if you note that at 2:41 they are fleeing...and those are the steps of Jersey City City Hall......it's hard to believe that it was 19 years ago......there were chickens and the rocket fin Cadillac there......and some chicks in mad hatter hats......many of the scenes were filmed in Jersey City......hard to believe that 13 or 14 yrs before that Blondie was down on the Hudson filming the Union City Blue video......youtube is cool....P

  • Cheers for that info. I've always wondered if there were any production notes for this vid. I love it.

  • I love this. :)

  • good lyrics...but i like the rendition of sinatra and crosby better

  • ANOTHER COMMENT """""
