Is this supposed to be a version for those who don't like loud noises? I couldn't hear her very well at all. I have heard her sing big roles at The Met and she had 10 times the vocal power of this. Like Trovatore in the 70s, for one.

I adore Renata, but not as Carmen. Here she make the same mistake as Callas. She has so many great roles, but Carmen is nothing for her. Let's return to her Puccinni heroes !

Her voice, career and personality remind me in so many ways of Callas.. Callas probably saw this too, and maybe this is why she treated her in the way she did. Anyway, I love them both, and Scotto is my favorite Butterfly.
