There's always been good umpires who gave bad decisions...that is unfortunately the typical scenario for most international umpires.Lucky for Aleem Daar today was a good day for him. Yet umpires are expected to get every decision correct. It's great and impressive that Pakistanis recognize and rally behind a fellow Pakistani umpire. Would be interesting to see the same reactions when Aleem Dar gives Afridi out LBW off a thick inside edge in the finals of the WC.

A very brave man, indeed. Being an Asian, he certainly puts his reputation and career on line with those decisions. Many would succum to all those loud-mouthed Aussies out there. He has to be amongst the best umpires in the world today. At last, something good has come out of Pakistan. Good on you, Mr Dar!
