If you ever come to missouri, there are actually some pretty cool caves and old mines to dive in. Most of them you do need to be cave certified, but others it is open water, and pretty freaking cool. Just remember your wet suit, it gets freaking cold.
you just have to know who to ask about diving in missouri. (and night diving is really cool too, the fish are attracted to your lights so they just come up and check you out the entire time,)
@Kovukat2000 I was there last Christmas! there was another place that was owned by the same people, and it had a lot more fish if you knew where to look and got away from people.
snow4man there is also another site called myscubastory that has diving stories like accidents shark encounters etc. type myscubastory into google and its first one i think..
Playa Del Carmen... and Xhala Mexico... are two places in Mexico that i absolutely loved snorkeling at... and if you ever get the chance go to Hawaii and do some scuba diving there the water in both places are so amazingly clear you'd love it
Just got PADI certified this summer. Victoria, BC Canada Best dive sites ever!!!! I saw a huge 13ft jelly fish and small ones, Wolf eels, cod, shrimp, flounders, and a sealion... A must see city as well.
Phillip im a 14 year old diver from jersey. If you want to go somewhere diving. Go to the grand cayman. The water is in the eighties and is crystal clear. Youll never forget the vivid colors from the fire coral, parrot fish, and barracuda. (yes barracudas) I actually went on my first dive there on a freighter wreck when i was 12. Do it youll never forget it. ps your supposed to deflate yor BCD when going to the surface to compensate for the pressure otherwise youll rise to fast and get the bends
hey, awsome! Scuba diving is amazing. I am 14 and i have my scuba cert <3 ^^ Its amazing, I got to see alot of creatures and hope to shark dive, Hope you will dive more! Its healty too!
It was great to hear you talk about it, it's refreshing to hear someone talk about diving and get the impression they were actually awake during the class, lol. Was your class PADI or SDI??
There is the channel of a friend of mine in Utila, one of the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras. Really beautiful diving when I was there, if you're lucky you can even see a whale shark.
i was snorkling (i was on a cruise) and I was paying attention to this wierd looking plant and then suddenly this HUGEEEE blue fish swam under me. i freaked out and like inhaled salt water.....i was like 2 city blocks away from the shore...then by the time I got to shore I the taste was gone. yeahhhh tht rlly sucked
PHIL I've done the blue hole with my parents, and I have to admit it isn't the most fascinating experience. D: HOWEVER flying OVER the blue hole is apparently freakin awesome:)
Phil. The Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Largest coral reef in the world. "The Wall" is located in St. Croix, it's the 2nd largest coral reef. I suggest St. Croix because I've been there, and it's effing beautiful to scuba dive in. Tourists are almost non existent. It's in the united states virgin islands, and they say it also has the best sunsets down there :)
hell yea phillyD keep losin those pounds bro i got sick & droped bout 10 pounds im startin 2 get alil better so im workin on cutin my foods n half tryin 2 eat at certain times cant really workout still 2 weak plus gotta watch after a sick mom & nephew neways love ya phillyD love da show ^^
i got certified and did checkout dives in april, and went on a weeklong trip this summer to the bahamas. IT. WAS. AMAZING. with this place called blackbeards. and we just went up and down the great exumas. ohhhh i miss it.
don't be afraid to go down to 100 ft. i have done it a couple of times and you don't even realize how far down you are. it's really an awesome experience.
as far as places to scuba dive, hawaii is always a popular place. i have scuba dived there and as well as in the caribbean. and people say the great barrier reef is one of the best places but i have never been there.
once you are pro, you should swim with the sharks! you will be fine. trust me!
Florida keys! i went scuba diving at the john pennekamp park its beautiful you should check out Christ of the Abyss statue too! the best part is that the water is crystal clear!
I went snorkeling in Hawaii a few years ago as well. It was kinda touristy where they took us out to this little cove on the main island where there were a lot of tropical fish and what nots. I did not see a turtle which is sad because I love them.
That one week in Hawaii and I knew I could spend the rest of my life in Hawaii. Maybe I will take so many scuba lessons I could open a little scuba lessons place on one of the islands....
Cramps is a bad deal! I got cramps diving and I ended up floating on the top like a dead fish in pain! but I was laugthing and so was everyone else.. haha
I learned how to dive about 5 years ago back when I lived in Colorado. I'm Advanced Open Water and also have Nitrox and High Altitude certs. I am now in Germany, but for the past 3 years I lived on Guam and have gone on countless amounts of dives there. Was attacked by some Trevallys one time, and almost had a finger bitten off, but it's all good, haha. I think it's probably one of the most fun hobbies out there. But yeah, lol...it can get expensive. Glad to hear that you got certified.
yea so ur sister came over to my house, and came into my room, and.....naaaa i have no idea who ur sister is. but a melon did come in my room,, creepy.
I was first SCUBA certified in 1983 - and I went down to 110' on Bonaire - was that wrong? The next day I went down with a massive hangover and I was out of air in like 20 minutes (lots of sucking air); I actually sat on a rock at 32+ feet for 10 minutes trying to feel better - then I had to swim what seemed like a 1/2 mile back to the boat after drifting - that sucked - but diving is awesome!!
i went snorkeling in the dominican republic. it was awesomee. it wasn't organized or anything we just had some gear and went into the ocean, but we still saw some beautifull scenery. sooo picturesque.
If you want to go somewhere awesome, go to Bali, seriously. It's beautiful. And the boat rides are short, most of the times you just go out from the beach and swim out. And if you go around july, you can see some of the worlds most rarest fish called mola mola. I took a lot of my time to write this so you better fucking go there, now.
I went snorkeling when my family was in hawaii, we went to a nature preserve on kona, and it was absolutely amazing. we saw like every kind of fish, including an eel and it was awesome =)
Interesting blog. i first discovered you working in a dive shop in thailand! haha! Diving is the most awsome experience EVER! i tell all my friends now, but your right its not cheap! Im living in australia now and the diving is just amazing!!Good luck with it all!
I went snorkeling in the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). AMAZING opportunity! There's no where else in the world like the Galapagos Islands. Crisp, clear water... animals that don't exist anywhere else... truly amazing.
I went to Belize, the Blue hole.... It was the most amazing experience for feeling alive and seeing the world... The boat was the Sundancer II and the crew that took care of us was one of a kind* incredible. The Sundancer II in Belize- on the LIVEABOARD. That's the way to go.... trust! Other than that, you will never forget your underwater sights and love for the hobby... Expensive, yes. But nothing compares. I am going to Bonaire next - but would love Austrailia!!
Living a lot of my life on water I've forgotten that people can get sick on boats :( I bet snorkeling was tons of fun though! I won't do it, I'd be to scared! :P
when i got my scuba certificate we did "out of air" too.. i didnt want to breathe thorugh the teacher's regulator and he jammed it in my mouth.. and you should've seen this guy *shudder*
be careful with the equalising tho i almost ripped my eardrums..
Florida Keys is beautiful place to Scuba Dive. Great places at 40 feet, Got to swim with nurse sharks, a barricuda, and lots of cool fish. Plus in the distance i saw a huge stingray, like 15ft span.

Try snorkeling in the Philippines, especially in Palawan. It's really nice there and some of your viewers here in the Philippines would definitely want to meet you. ^_^
You shoudl defently go to the san andres islands, yeah i know what ur thinking isnt that a video game, but its not its in south america and the coral reifs are beautifull defenetly check it out
Hey, I went to the Blue Hole a few years ago, and it really is amazing. Most of the fish and living things are above the drop-off, but there's tons of interesting rock formations and coral and things below it. There's also a ton of great snorkeling in shallower areas around the islands in the area. I stayed at the Blackbird Caye resort, which has a lot of great snorkeling in the reefs around it and is only a short ride from the Blue Hole.
ohh i'm jealous that you're doing a course in scuba diving ;P hehe, I was in Egypt like 4 times, I've tried scuba diving ( intro) an I fell in love. I really want to be certified and I am waiting for my bday to receive cash for it, but the equipement is fucking expensive If you're looking for places abroad I definitely reccomend you Blue Hole in Egypt, Dahab as you know it's the most famous place to dive in, and when it comes to Egypt also reefs in Marsa Alam. Beautiful.
im certified too! my (super amazing marine science) high school funded it. just wait until they tell you to take your goggles off and swim around blindly for a couple minutes at the bottom of the ocean. pssssh we usually have 3-4 feet in the atlantic :P
Phil u should come to Silfra in iceland its a lake kinda thing that comes from a glacier so the water is crystal clear , there are caves and shit u should really consider it ! i loved it
I've gone 100 feet down in hawaii and then went to a shipwreck and saw tons of seaturtles. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I definitely recommend that mess
My cousin is a career marine and was stationed in Okinowa Japan for four years. While he was there he became a certified dive master. At this point he has gone scuba diving all over the world. When he retires he plans on moving back to Okinowa because he wants to turn Scuba into a career and swears up and down that it is the best scuba diving in the world, and no matter how many times he goes there is always something new, fun, and cool to do.
I am 14, and after I've gotten my hair cut, Apparently I look 16-18... And I've been hit on by older men, 30+ . I really just want to have a tattoo oh my for-head "I AM ILLEGAL!" *sigh.
I get motion sickness too on boats. The worst thing to do is look down or close your eyes. Looking at the horizon is fucking bullshit. It doesn't help when your moving so it makes the horizon move too >.> I found drinking lots of water or eating something takes your mind off of it.
I snorkled in the great barrier reef when I went to Australia like 5 years ago. It was so pretty! People had options to scuba if they were certified and they had these under water bike things with little bubble to put your head in so you could breath.
I wish I hadn't left my camera on the plane home. Lost so many good pictures!!! :(
I went to Aruba last year to go scuba diving. it was incredible. The sonesta underwater airplanes were the best. And 80 feet doesnt even feel that deep so ull be fine.

Try snorkeling in the Philippines, especially in Palawan. It's really nice there and some of your viewers here in the Philippines would definitely want to meet you. ^_^
