Absolutely fantastic! Classic Looney Tunes feel all the way! I didn't even realize it wasn't until it ended and I read the comment closer. I'm not as familiar with this Bugs piece.
@ooozetoons Thanks, man! I just watched some of your animation work, by the way. Good stuff! Hit me up sometime if you'd like some original scores for your projects!
@soundtrackgeek SWEET! It would be an honor to have you on my team! I have a HUGE Looney Tunes-style cartoon coming up and need music for it in post-production.
@LooneyTunerIan That would be an interesting exercise, but copying someone else's work isn't something I'm necessarily interested in doing, and that wasn't the point of the assignment. Thanks for the comment, though!
Not a bad job. I was most impressed by 0:24 - 0:42. It actually sounded very much like a piece of music you'd hear in one of these classic cartoons. Good job on that especially. :)
Great job! Its going to be a while before I am able to compose with so much instruments and percussions at the same time in a logically timed/ordered manner.
Good job dude, but don't lose sight of the visual piece's leit motiv: Carl Stalling's original score reminded us ALL ALONG there's a bull, a matador and the mischievous personality traits Bugs Bunny has. If you wish to improve it, your piece needs some more movement. Think of the keywords "Mexico", "Spain", "Bull", "Bugs Bunny", "imbecile", "smartass", "victory" and "abusive" and spice it up.
Thanks for the comments, Pitumisio! I actually make it a point to avoid listening to the original score (or temp score) if I can help it, so I never heard Stalling's music for this episode, but I get what you're saying. I would have given it a more Latin flavor if I'd wanted to, but the score was also going to end up as a standalone "cartoon"-genre piece of music, so it was a conscious decision on my part to go with something more traditional.

Good.
But... maybe you should try to copy the original score for that clip of the cartoon.

Pretty good, though watching a Looney Toons cartoon without the sound effects is bizzare.

That was very well done, but I'll still like the original use of Wagner's Rienzi.

@joepangelo Oh definitely, of course the original is brilliant! I was just using the scene to practice scoring.

AWESOME! 'mickey mousing', as they sometime call it, is actually pretty hard to do. You need to accent just about every movement and event.
GREAT WORK!! 5 stars!
