  • well i LOVE DIXIE

  • it is a good thing to see a young man like in this video that remebers elvis he will never die his music is endless

  • One of the best videos I have ever heard and now our nation needs us more than ever.

  • In Loving Memory Of Neil Anthony Shea An His Grandad Johnnie Shea Both Soldiers An There Truth An Love Goes Marching On Forever More. Gone But Never Forgotten In My Heart Forever Loved By Too Many To Mention Reunited In Heaven See You When I Get There Love N Hugs Always Cathy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i love the south an wish i was part of it

  • @AidanAlexander1994 you can be ! come on over/down.. we'll take ya ! you're welcome here anytime.. from Missouri.. God save the South !

  • The victors always are the ones to write history that future generations are taught. What we learn about the Confederacy in elementary school is more wrong than right. The war was not about slavery. The civil war was waged to ever broaden the power of the Federal Government over the states, and it was a necessary step in the vast scope of the international banking cartel's agenda. Slavery was on its way out with mechanization anyhow, it was more about taxation than anything else.

  • @cockyhemi

It does not really matter why, slavery was being supported by the south.

Slavery was ended years ago by the english, America was lagging behind.

Also, my knowledge of political history lends bias against the confederates, because they were conservative.

As we know, conservatives hate change more than anything else.

Even though the North were not focused on slavery and had wanted to punish the south,

the south were focused on retaining their slave driven economics.

    Facts>Reasons

  • @ThatBlackPanda So it never matters why a war is waged? O.k. pal. I guess it doesn't matter why 600,000 Americans died between the years of 1861-1865. I guess liberals love change just because they use it as a slogan. Change we can believe in? Yeah, what has fucking changed in the last 4 yrs. Can you tell me that. Stop believing in the left right bullshit because it will never get you change of any sort. The designers of Obama's campaign knew exactly how to push your buttons.

  • @cockyhemi

You are right, Obama is a conservative, at least he does everything they want him to.

Democrat Liberals are a dime a dozen, Liberal progressives are the ones who really fix problems.

I personally said during the campaign that Obama was weak but he would be better than another Republican. I stand by that.

    ...

But what stand stands, the south needed slave driven economics; they couldn't adapt to an evolving economic tide and such has went the way of the dinosaurs, the losers lol.

    FACT!

  • @cockyhemi yeah, i'LL TELL YOU WHAT HAS CHANGED IN THE LASTCOUPLE YEARS ; gas is 4.00+ a gallon, taxes are higher, the chinese are going to eat our lunch in a trade war, liberals& progressives are occupying Wall St. & 200 other American cities, being "USEFUL IDIOTS for the commies & socialists who want to overthrow our Constitutional government ; millions of ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS are stealing OUR money in "BENEFITS" they shouldn't even have& obama can't wait to give what's left to the UN

  • @cockyhemi I hate how everyone's taught that it was about slavery. Even in 8th grade, it's taught that way.

Abraham Lincoln didn't care about where slavery was, just as long as it didn't spread west.

Also, slavery wasn't as bad in the south as everyone makes it out to be. Slavery existed in the north, and they were harsher. The slaves in the south, more than half the time, were treated really well/as part of the family.

    :D

    Jussayin

  • @EdibleFox "Dixie" tells the story of a freed black slave pining for the plantation of his birth.I've read that some (we'll never know the true #) slaveowners provided a good, stable place for slaves. After being freed, most former slaves struggled - they had to earn a living, find a place to live and start a new life. The federal gov't was all about getting them freed, but did nothing to help them make the huge changes they went through after being freed. Some things never change.

  • @GenuwineDixieChick True!

even though most people agree that slavery was wrong but truth is that most slaves had it far better than most so called free workers!

  • Elvis had such a sweet, amazing voice, great to hear this rendition of such a wonderful song!

  • Has Always been my favorite Elvis song , yay...PEACE

  • " Get off those steps, you trashy wench!" Scarlett O'Hara, Gone with the wind.

  • This song is good, but I like Manowar's version better.

  • I'm a native northern-Californian resident and Asian American. When I visited the southern states to tour open-house events for various universities (late 1990's), not only did I have a hell of a great time, but I've also met and spoke with the most kind, decent, well-mannered, knowledgeable, intelligent, worldly, and honest people (whites, blacks, latinos, and others; all native southerners), as I've ever met in my own home state.

On topic, this is easily one of my favorite Elvis songs!

  • @mbsmarshmello Sorry, that's what were taught up North, I meant no offense.

  • I don't get it. By "Go South!" Do you mean the racist and Confederate south? I'm being completely serious.

  • @TheRaleighRocket

Really? Elvis is burning in Hell? He paid OTHER peoples bills bought them cars when they couldn't afford one. He was a great man who made a stupid decision.

  • This is blasphemous. Dixieland and the Battle Hymn of the Republic in the same breath? Elvis is burning in Hell.

  • @TheRaleighRocket Its a good song. Just shut up.

  • @huckster699 It's two different songs, you dumb fuck.

  • @TheRaleighRocket Actually, dixieland was more about a Republic than this bullshit that we have now! You think you are a free human being with original thoughts and feelings, think again. Everything you know is bullshit and you better open your mind to what is really happening in the world. Your individuality has been stripped from your person and you are nothing more than a living, breathing, consumer. That's all that you will ever be. And until you fight that very beast, all is lost.

  • didn't even know he was from the south

  • Everybody has it listed as the song "Dixie Land" and as far as i`m concerned it IS Dixie Land! lol

  • @imaStonesFan

dixie land, american trilogy is the actual song title

  • @Sexyfatman21 DIXIE!! It`s about the south!

  • i love elvis the sputh of usa and god bless all the usa!

from the moroccan jewish in israel and everywhere

  • i love elvis i love the south of usa and all the usa god bless the usa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fro, the moroccan jewish in israel elvis rip!!!!!!!!!11

  • I love this song so so much, the guy is a LEGEND and I will be walking the plank......only joking lol walking down the aisle to this song when i get married.

  • Great song.. but who's truth is marching on?.. the "Dixie" landers were slave owners and fought to keep slavery.. disgusting!

  • @shitforbollocks777 This is actually a merging of the song "Dixie" and the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." His truth, is consider to be the Lord's truth. The Battle Hymn was also a northern song, not a Southern. So before you go babbling on about things you probably don't understand, you might wanna do a little historical research. And I don't mean in those politically correct books they have out these days. TSWRA

  • are you in a bunker?

  • Yeah we are good people down here. This song will always be in my heart. I want to thank every one for their comments and to see that there is no conflict here about being born and raised southern.

  • the king lives on

  • Ohh, boy!! You are right man! This song it's a Ode to the America Spirit and Patriotism!

  • I heard this performed live on stage in 1972 and it was spine-tilling,especially, when the flute palys, the drums roll, the horns blares and the tempo rises and he shouts out"Glory,Glory Hallelujah"! Well it brought the house down! This song could only be sung by someone who was raised in the south,at least to convey the meaning of the song. Certainly not by Tom Jones .He has a great voice but he's Welsh, for heaven's sakes!

  • I find myself singing that song when I need a little pick-me-up. I live in Taiwan as a teacher here, and when I miss home a little dose of the KING and some southern sounds give me that warm fuzzy feeling that I need to get through my day. Thanks bro.

  • thank you....heart of DIXIE here.
