It's so eerie when a radio person dies. When a regular schmuck like me dies, every thought, every memory, every experience and every belief dies with me. Sure, I may leave a sort of cloudy window into my personality through writings or photographs/videos or the memories of my loved ones, but it's all ephemeral and wispy, not tangible like a thousand hours of rantings, ravings, and pontificating that these guys leave behind.
Op and Ant just need to get Colin to come in and talk about him, their relationship and stories of Patrice. Colin has the most perspicacious angle and thought process and anything he says holds the most weight. He is really guarded so it might take a bit to get him to open up but I would love to hear about Patrice from his perspective.
@dietrite123 I'm pretty sure they had a show the same day as the funeral or after it and anthony was talking about it so I think he did go. But to say Ant doesn't miss patrice is ludicrous... from what I can tell he doesn't show his emotions much, he's not a melodramatic type he has a scientists mind and they're usually introverts, but he loved patrice and patrice loved him, they had a respect for each other which is why it was always interesting to hear them go back and forth.
I love fake stories from the living after one passes. I couldn't believe the stories I heard about my best friend that were totally false just to get a laugh.
@cky1088 That is an absurd statement. Do you even listen to O and A? Do you think any of them would be like that? And are these stories really that outraaaggeeeousss? Jaded douche.
Is it true that Anthony didn't go to the funeral or wake or whatever. I don't think Ant lost a minute of sleep over Patrice's death. In Opie's words: "But you look wide awake".
intro music gets to me really hard. I remember listening to this show the first time, pressing play and this special version of their intro comes on, and I just knew exactly what it meant and what was coming. this is some heavy shit.
@sleepyasfuck Why? Did Howard invent dirty jokes? Did he invent comedians on the radio? Did he invent Instant Feedback or Paltalk and the amount of audience participation that made O&A the successes that they are? They bled Howie's fanbase to dirt and the faggots who are still listening to his three day a week show are bitter cunts. Dave Rabbit should sue Howard Stern, why? identity theft. he is fucking pathetic.
@sleepyasfuck I'm saying, to sue someone for identity theft you have to have something more than swag you fucking idiot, and again, if swag is all it takes to sue someone for than Dave Rabbit should have Howard and O&A's money, Limbaugh should sue O'Riely and Glenn Beck, 60 minutes should sue 20/20, Martha Stewart should sue Rachel Rae and Howard Stern should sue dog shit.
@sleepyasfuck To think anyone owes anything for having basic and very general similarities to someone else is an exercise in idiocy that I didn't think was possible. that or you have never listened to a minute of O&A and hate them because Howard hates them. Either way I hope your kids abandon you in an abusive nursing home.
@amayagab these dudes try aspire to be just like stern man, they mimic him as much as possible. your coming off real bad bringing up people like dave "hack" rabbit, and for the record martha stewart should fuck rachel rae up.
@sleepyasfuck The only thing they have in common with Stern is that they tell dirty jokes, you are so out of touch right now you are humiliating yourself. Stay the fuck off O&A videos if you don't like them.
@123truthification Please stop. Don't spew negativity and conspiracies on this video. Don't instigate arguments. Myself and others are upset about Patrice's passing and I don't think we really want to see trash talk on this video of all places. Just stop. Not everything has to become a conflict. Go do this on other videos, but just leave this one alone. Please.
Rich Voss is the most boring mother fucker ever, jeeeeeeesus that 9 minute babble made me want to rip my fuckin monitor off the desk. Why is he on radio, that fucking ruins the whole show and dilutes the point of the show to pay tribute to Patrice.
The day he died, I saw Elephant in the Room for the first time. Didn't know it existed. Found out he died the next day. It's been a little over a month since his death, and it wasn't until I saw this video that I've finally been able to cry. I cried for him, and finally for Greg Giraldo... I finally was able to have my moment for the two of them. I don't know how many people can understand this, since I can't find the right words. The cliche is all I can find: they were my heroes.
No wonder the Ventura story broke on this show because this show supports the New World Order and asking questions about the Feds is strictly prohibited.
@troutmask1970 Are you fucking serious, you weak,self-obsessed little man? Don't go spewing your childish X-files conspiracy shit on the show remembering a fine comedian and a good, kind hearted man for no reason or gain. To claim that a show made famous for dick and cunt jokes are somehow working for this Star Wars Mickey Mouse new world order garbage just because they had a dissagreement with that scarecrow haired ex-wrestler clown you worship makes me sick. Shame on you.
typing this before i even hear the show start...patrice was a fucking badass and changed my opinion on some sensitive topics. you changed the world in your own way patrice you should be proud.
love / hate on this show... hate to see a loss of such a good guy, but love to see the serious side of Opie and the guys. Hearing genuine memories from these guys makes them feel like real people, a connection that no matter how rich or poor you are we all feel the same when a good friend leaves us.
The only thing that could have made this specific day of O&A better...would be Patrice. Maybe their best day ever, under the gigantic, brilliant cloud of Patrice. Crazy.
Patrice Oneal (SAL ALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM) I loved you man. The world is a bleaker place without you. I cried for you even though I live on the opposite side of the world.
Such a good man, speaks his mind freely and wouldn't let anyone hold him back.

Patrice O'Neal on Tracy Morgan gay controversy - A brilliant translation of fame, success and Hollywood. The guy was as unique and funny and smart as I've ever heard. RIP

@GewgleTubeExplorer yea thats a good observations. 2 ppl died out of the 50+ comics who have done a roast with seth. clever. thats like saying everyone on youtube is a moron because of the retarded shit u post
Can someone give me the approx. hour/minute mark of Dave Attell's purple suit/giant coffin line? I want to listen to it again.
It's funny, when Dave Attell adds to the conversation it's like he stumbles through what he's saying, but when he riffs on something or makes an off-the-cuff joke, he's funnier than even little Jimmy Nordon himself.
@johnlyon17 It's Estasi Dell'Oro by Ennio Morricone, but it's not the original track from The Good the Bad and the Ugly. It's a pretty good acoustic cover but I haven't been able to find where it comes from yet.

His death seems like it effected everyone a lot harder than any other celebrity deaths. I can't remember being this upset, or everyone else being this upset over a celebrity death as much as they are over Patrice. Its a tribute to his greatness!
@BNicodemo i agree and said the exact same thing earlier in the comments on this page. Don't get me wrong, I like and respect Louie, but it seems like he is always trying to talk over everyone. And Patrice's death is NOT like Giraldo's. Idk, maybe I'm just being sensitive about the whole thing, but louie came off as a dick head!
John Belushi, John Candy, Chris Farley, Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison, Greg Geraldo, Patrice O'Neal... THIS LIST IS TOO FUCKING LONG! This shitty planet got shittier with the loss of every one of these guys, not to mention Phil Hartman, Mitch Hedberg, etc. etc. etc. Belushi's and Patrice's passing actually made me cry. You think he'd be pissed at me for starting this list with three white guys?
@pac43man From Patrice O'Neal: "No no! I'm not pissed that you started with white guys....but nigga, you started this list off with three FAT dudes?? GODDAMN!!
Something very comforting about the fact that despite the sadness of Patrice's passing, his friends could still get together and rip each other to shreds in between memorable stories. The best tribute a great comic could have.
1.) Christ! Louis was kind of hard on Bobby. I mean if anyone deserves it it's Bobby Kelly, but still.
2.) I think Louis was a bit out of line going on about Patrice's lifestyle and a comedian's "duty" to his fans to take care of himself. First of all, it's obvious that Patrice had a different relationship with food than the other guys in the room. Second of all, when it comes to the heart, sometimes damage done is damage done. Ask Jim Fixx the fitness guru whose past caught up with him at 52.
More than anyone else on this show, or in general, you really felt like you knew Patrice. His aversion of to phony-ness is truly, honestly, an inspiration.
This may be the best show they've ever done. I've always been draw to this show because of their (O&A's) honesty, but this is just phenomenal. A great tribute to a great friend.
@reddeve10 It is amazing, right? Patrice's brilliant cloud was hanging over them, but they delivered so well telling great stories about him and still being themselves/hilarious. And they were classy about it. Patrice is my favorite comedian, and there could not be a better retrospective about him, with people that loved him.
Haven't heard any shows since this one, but I was hoping Kevin Hart would've shown up. He was awesome in his appearance, and he fits perfectly with his old OandA crew.
im gonna miss tuning into O&A and not noticing patrice is there until all of the sudden outta nowhere i hear that howling laugh and his 10 minute take on the subject
I will sorely miss Patrice, he's one of the few people who literally made me cry/made my jaw hurt from laughing. I'm new to the O&A show sadly, what was that song that played in the beginning? It was quite beautiful.
Is it just me (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but doesn't it seem like Louis CK constantly talks over EVERYONE when he's on. I love him, but he does that too often. Also, didn't really like his comments about being mad at Patrice bc he didn't take care of himself, and did this too himself. Patrice dying was nothing like Hedberg, or Giraldo! I love them all and will miss Patrice very much. We ALL will!
No. I felt my comment was too over the top, sincere as it was, in light of what his family and friends must be going though, so I removed it. He was a source of real laughter, humanity and insight; and I don't see anyone filling those shoes, and I'm not happy about it (again, a bit selfish in light of the people that really lost him).
I didn't she'd a tear for my dead Grandad and cried like a fucking bitch when I watched Elephant in the Room last night. RIP Big Man. You were my hero
R.I.P. Patrice O'Neal ... one of my favorite O&A clips is the "Independence Day" movie bit they did with Patrice. You'll be sorely missed by all us O&A fans.
I LOVE PATRICE but need to talk about 1 part of this, inappropriately
Patrice struggled with being righteous in the best kind of way. Louis CK, love him, but he said fuck Spike Lee if I remember correctly. But why couldn't Louis, knowing Patrice as uncompromising, and being funny/a good actor, just GIVE him the Pootie Tang role instead of a bullshit audition? Spike kept puttin Patrice in movies and wanted him to hold on for a BS reason as well, but why fuck him and not Louis too?
@nbadraft08 Louis had a lot less 'power' or control over his projects back then. Especially on pootie tang where he was pretty much removed from big parts of the production process. Not surprising he does pretty much everything on his new show now except for playing the other characters in the show, probably got sick of that shit.
R.I.P Patrice...Condolences to his family, friends and fans. There's NO WAY we will forget you and you will be dearly missed beyond words. God Bless xo
@bethoishorse shut the fuck up kid! This isn't the time, nor the place to have that conversation or make that statement! Grow up man, and please just save those comments for another day or page. RIP Patrice (My Black Ambassador)
This man made me laugh at times when I thought a laugh was light years away. We needed him now, more than any ever. We're running out of our funny Thinking Men. What a loss.
patrice dying at 41 tells me that a stroke, heart attack or cancer could kill me any day now and so i might as well f*ck as many women as i can because even if i catch the hiv the big 3 diseases will get me first.
@kevinjr2028 Patrice was not the black Louie CK, he was PATRICE, a single voice unique onto itself. This is not a critique of your comment, just a fact.
@1424nathan Lmao..My g/f texted me while I was at work and told me he passed..I had a tear in my eye which is odd and all I could think of was P.O looking down saying man up ya fucking sissy
Normally I don't care about celebrities dying. "That sucks, oh well." is my usual reaction. But Patrice... Patrice dying fucked me up good. Never in my life have I cried about someone I never knew but fuck... watching Opie's video of him discovering Bobo's Up and Down Game made me start crying.
I never met Patrice or was even in the same town as him, but its hard to keep the tears back. I didnt always agree with hs view points, but what a talented, funny man. Gone way too early. I will miss him terribly on O & A and his stand-up material is instant gold. Why do the good people in life go so fast, and the scumbags stick around forever?
I'm only about an hour-and-a-half into it, but this is already one of my favorite O&A episodes. Great guest lineup and vintage clips of Patrice. R.I.P.
the exuberance of patrice singing, shit, obviously never knew him, and this is fucking corny but from a selfish point of view i feel like ive lost a decent thing in my life.
the good die young, looking forwrd to Vos's 80th birthday.
Like others have said, it's true for me too. Patrice is the first person I didn't know personally that died and fucked me up emotionally. I'm always gonna miss this dude.
Losing a guy like Patrice shows us all how importnat good comedy really is. We will miss you incredibly. I know you are making whosever on the other side laugh their ass off.
@lglitch7191 you deserve more than a simple ty for the uploads. As I commented on the comments part of 11/29 I didn't wanna hear this at work bc I don't wanna cry like a bitch in front of everyone. I'm calling off sick, and will listen to it tonight. This will be tough. I wish I could do more than ty, but pls know I appreciate the uploads, WE all appreciate the uploads. Be well my friend!
i like to listen to this once a month while playing video games.... it gets better and better....

Patrice was a smooth, crude, funny dude, he was our mordern day Fred G. Sanford, We will miss him greatly..! Thanks again for the upload :-)

More than anyone else on this show, or in general, you really felt like you knew Patrice. His aversion of to phony-ness is truly, honestly, an inspiration.

This may be the best show they've ever done. I've always been draw to this show because of their (O&A's) honesty, but this is just phenomenal. A great tribute to a great friend.
reddeve10 3 months ago 2

Rirrron 3 months ago

@aallppiinnee Were you and Patrice friends?
Judgeman03 3 months ago
@Judgeman03

Wrong?
nbadraft08 3 months ago
@nbadraft08 Louis had a lot less 'power' or control over his projects back then. Especially on pootie tang where he was pretty much removed from big parts of the production process. Not surprising he does pretty much everything on his new show now except for playing the other characters in the show, probably got sick of that shit.

patrice dying at 41 tells me that a stroke, heart attack or cancer could kill me any day now and so i might as well f*ck as many women as i can because even if i catch the hiv the big 3 diseases will get me first.

patrice was the black louie ck. he should of recieved a change from somebody.
kevinjr2028 3 months ago
@kevinjr2028 Patrice was not the black Louie CK, he was PATRICE, a single voice unique onto itself. This is not a critique of your comment, just a fact.

RIP Patrice ;_;

RIP Patrice...You are in my prayers.
