I have separately listed every verse from the OT that illustrates just what kind of god this is that they worship, & I once did too. The Xians who defend this kind of insanity bcuz it is god whose doing the killing, have lost their human decency & morality...the same morality that most of us adhere to, regardless of where it comes from. This doesn't seem to bother them bcuz they're only interested is being on the winning team. Well, regardless of the outcome, I find the cost way too high!

I wasn't aware of it being 'Blasphemy Day', though there was a fair bit of blasphemy from me on Sept 30 anyway. It was one of the days I was driving in Sicily. Guide books had warned that in some of the cities people drove "like dogs on drugs" and they weren't wrong(!)

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly people excuse the atrocities described in the bible, like the one you mention, while condemning blasphemous *words* out of hand...

blasphemy by definition means .. one who is a believer in a thing speaks against that thing. Context religion.

- In a country as the US that has a president going into Saudi Arabia and into Afrikaans Land and say, "WE are all children under god", he would then be in contempt of blasphemy if he were to acknowledge Atheists on public floors as he did in 2004.
