A turbo car definitely has a larger gain since they will build and hold boost through an entire run but any car will benefit from it. Plus the N2MB is $200 for both features and can be installed on your own fairly easily. It's an easy transition from street to strip with one.

Don't hold the shifter like its another guys dick. Keep your hand on the top and just pull it back or push it forward and the springs in the shifter will do the rest for the 2-3 and 3-4 shift.
i dont like to shift like that but if you go to a driving school they will tell you that is the proper technique to shift from 3rd to 4th and gaurantee not missing and going to 2nd

@DaBrute I use the chicken wing style, except I don't grip that low on the stick, helps keep from going into 2nd and for shifting into 5th I shove it with my palm.
The T-56 is a relatively tight box at WOT, so that gives you plenty of leverage without the risk of pulling back into second which it can do very easily. You only go 1-2-3-2 once before you learn. lol
i like that no lift shift set up thats sweet. but i dont drag race much so i cant see buying that setup. and your 3rd to 4th gear change is so funny you flip your grip to the opposite side its funny
it sounds like its pretty good, dunno about fuel cut but it cuts the spark temporarily between shifts and you can configure the timing and rpm for 2step launch control

The clutch is not going to suffer. Other drivetrain parts could, possibly, but they are not stock either, so the shock of the shift is no problem.
How many high-horsepower cable-operated T56 cars have you driven? The T56 is not an easy transmission to shift with a lot of power in front of it. The WOT Box effectively cuts the power that the transmission is seeing, and in turn, makes it much easier to shift.
cvgtpony03 got it right; boost dropoff is nullified as well. Not so much with P/D superchargers, but with a turbo setup it is a more prevalent option. My car is now turbo, so it's even more of a help now.
So, the moral of the story for you, kcole939, is to shut the fuck up when you don't know what you are talking about. Have a good one bro!

I've had the WOT Box on my car for over a year with two different blower setups on it. First a ported stock blower, then a Whipple twinscrew blower. Guess what hasn't changed?
Yep, you guessed it; the clutch. Powershifing without this box is actually harder on the car and drivetrain than with it. Actually, it's by far worse without than with. When you press the clutch in with the gas pedal on the floor, the engine is going to keep accelerating through the RPM range until you engage the next gear and disengage the clutch.
When the WOT Box activates, the RPMs will stay static during the powershift. They will not keep running away like with a standard powershift. This allows there to be a smaller discrepency in pre-shift RPM and post-shift RPM, which in turn, is easier on the drivetrain and clutch.
Anyway, continue to make inflammatory comments like you did and get upset when someone says something you don't like. It's cool, we understand.
Now see, that's all you had to do, is explain more into detail. To me it seems like this thing does some major grinding on the clutch. I guess not.

03-04 Cobras have 275/40/17 tires, a 3.55 rear, 1.78:1 2nd gear, and a 1.3:1 3rd gear. Let's play out a 2-3 shift scenario, shifting at 6,500 from 2nd.
6,500 RPM in 2nd = 78 MPH. 78 MPH in 3rd after that upshift from 2nd would take you down to 4,750 RPM @ that said 78 MPH, in third.

it basically shuts the car off for a quick second and then starts it again. the rpms roughly stay the same but if you shift to slow you will hit redline..just shift quick and it is perfect

It's easier to pull straight back with your arm flipped than have it normal. Try it and you'll see; otherwise I can't really explain it.

I'm well aware that any type of racing is hard on cars, I'm also well aware that it's a good product.
That's just my humble opinion though. I'd rather learn to shift quicker, than have a device help me, that's going to decrease the life of my clutch.

@dirtrider2088 With all of that said, you will see more than average wear on the clutch while using a WOT box, however, that is expected when drag racing. Shit breaks when you race it, it's just how it is. I for one just do not like the idea of extra wear, when you could just learn to shift quicker. It's good practice anyhow.
You can clearly see that the uploader of the video, and I, ended this little debate MONTHS ago. Good advice for you would be to stay out of shit you weren't involed in.

hahaha. your school girl combacks humor me even more than the southern accent and the p.o.s mustang. and yes the name says honda...but i drive a 93 gsx. and i have fun beating rednecks in mustangs all the time. whether it be in the 1/4 mile, on the street or on a road course. mustangs cant hang with me. oh wait...i barely got pulled by one of those new super snakes the other day...does that count as a mustang still haha.

quick question, i got a pullied 03 cobra, and im thinking about the 2 step, is the no lift to shift like, part of that? so if you keep it down between 2nd and 3rd itll limit it to w/e you set it at? then just drop the clutch again?

it basically shuts the car off for a quick second and then starts it again. the rpms roughly stay the same but if you shift to slow you will hit redline..just shift quick and it is perfect

It's set to around 300. I can't remember what it is exactly because I haven't driven the car in about 3 months.
