  • Good useful video but did you actually do a shit in the toilet to make it more realistic

  • 5:49 I really hope that's a different towel in the background...

  • thanks so much!

  • The Old Man and the Pee!

  • Can i get a razor with the toilet auger?

  • thank you for the video

  • "It's a big one!"

  • thank you so much, I will try it right away.

  • omg it worked... i did... i'm a single mother and i did it myself...thank you so much.

  • thanks gonna try now

  • Thanks, this helped. A LOT. :)

  • any idea how o get a plastic play ball out of the pipe? fits well. toilet is off, been snaked, flushed, no luck

  • Thanks man, I got both toilets blocked at the same time, wife is having a coronary! Auger to the rescue!

  • Very good demonstration. Very step by stepish teacher. You're the kind of teacher needed in the school system. Kids would actually understand what they're doing and why they're doing it. Test scores would go through the roof. Thanks for the video. Great job!

  • Hi i axcidentally flushed toothbrush in our toilet bowl and now its clogged.can auger do the trick?ty

  • Thank you about the size on the tip of the auger. Great demo.

  • right on thanks for the info

  • This guy is a natural at teaching. Notice how he explains everything step-by-step. I now think maybe I'm using my auger incorrectly. I must be off now to go and try again. Ta-ta!! ;)

  • @BanjunWynjun I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! This guy is a GENIUS!! I had called the plumber, but as a last resort, watched this video, hoping I was just doing something wrong. I was. I re-positioned the auger the way this guy did, and I fished out a plastic Dixie cup!! Plumber's appointment was canceled. Thanx, Toilet Man!!

  • This video was extremely helpful. Thank you!

  • eww gross! don't show me your shit! now i'm going to have nightmares!

  • Great video! It's instructive, homey, and funny all at the same time. Let's hear it for those New Jersey guys!

  • He's a good teacher.

  • down the hatch!

  • "Hard blockage" @ 2:15 ...i think he is talking about shit

  • worst job ever!

  • Thanks for the demo. I know it's a funny topic, but folks like you are showing what some good people and the Internet is all about. Great video.

  • This guy is a life saver

  • 0:39 EPIC MAN TITS

  • The hole in my toilet is in the front of my toilet (unlike the one in this video) and there's a wall behind my toilet, so does this mean that I won't be able to take out the piece of cabbage that clogged my toilet, seeing how I have to tilt the auger at an angle and perhaps that the wall will prevent me from tilting the auger? In other words, do I need a steep angle in order for the cable to reach the cabbage? Thank you in advance.

  • Thanks. Great advice. Much appreciated.

  • Thanks- great video! I'll be trying to unclog my toilet this afternoon....

  • Thank You. Plunger didnt work, went out and bought a toilet auger and pulled out all the makeup my dumb ass cat dropped down the toilet!

  • my kkklient kkkathleen mccainisthrough wit an X know how two unklog a toylet wit her fayce.

  • thanks!

  • It's toilet augin' with Bill Dance! lol except this guy needs to be wearing the Tennessee Volunteers hat.

  • ...I liked the visual and explaination...and went and unplugged my toilet!

  • If there is standing water in the toilet, remove most of it by scooping it out into a bucket (wear rubber gloves please). Once this is done, pour a good squirt of dish soap into the toilet and let stand for a few minutes. Take your plunger and plunge one or two times. You will be amazed...it works!

  • I used the toilet auger and my toilet is still clogged! I'm going to cry. D:

  • @kungfulatio You must have curled out a belter!

  • I got one for $10 at Home Depot today and watched this video, it did the trick! Thanks alot, although I didnt get the blockage out, I guess I pushed it down the drain....

  • Are you being paid by the minute???

    Wow..toilets for dummies!

If you're a slumlord and you don't know what a plunger is..you have a bigger problem than a clogged toilet! Lost me after 15 seconds!!

  • Top Notch Video!!

  • Edit mister...edit

  • I never made it to Home Depot today. But I did completely remove the toilet and take it out in the yard where I could get a good look at it and test it out. This Kmart auger won't go past the first bend. This is sort of like colonoscopy. The weak flush (it's getting plenty of water) is definitely in the toilet. No matter how much water I dump in the bowl and tank it doesn't want to syphon out -- unless I tip the toilet backwards (I'm doing this in the yard) then it flushes perfectly. ?????

  • Dont buy one of those cheap things from Walmart. I made that mistake this morning. You need one like he's got. Must be from Home Depot or Lowes. ... This is reality plumbing TV complete with visuals!

  • Thank you so much!!!!

  • That was well done. You seem to be a good instructor.

  • After seeing this I realize that my toilet auger was cheap and I was fighting it more then the clog itself. So i'm going to go out and buy a good one.

And after seeing the "poop" floating around it reminded me of Caddyshack (the Baby Ruth floating in the pool) and the scene where the pool is emptied, Bill Murry picks it up and eats it....LOL

    Thanks Landlordvideos

  • @boredvalleykid

]Thanks man, usually I don't do things myself, I'm a 22 year old dude and usually other people would do shit like this for me (no pun intended). I saw a other auger video on here by two women, much like my experience getting directions I did the entire thing wrong. Then I went out and bought a new auger, thinking I had broken the last one and I loaded your video to my Zune, went into the bathroom and Augered my toilet as you did yours. it seems that your video is a 10/10.

  • It's tht real poop?

  • thankyou i think it was the bees knees !

  • i can smell it though my Speakers

  • I flushed a food can lid down my toilet and now I can't get it out, do you think I'll be able to remove it using a toilet auger?

  • either someone eats to much, or their ass is too big.

  • This guy is fishing for some brown trout looks like it was a fighter.

  • @jimmy101112000 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @jimmy101112000 ROFL

  • This video needs to start at about 3:17. The first three minutes is just the guy wasting your time by reading the instructions off the package of the auger which, unless you can't read, you've already done yourself. Skip to the demonstration.

  • maybe you live in the Czech Republic and you can't understand the instructions.. for example

  • Thank you for this vidio

  • Only other recommendation I could make would be to wear latex gloves. This business can get dirty...

  • That was awesome....Thanks. As a first time home buyer, it is very much appreciated. I dig your "test environment" that you setup. Very cool.

  • Sir, including that turd was completely unecessary, thank you.

  • grate informative video but, coolaslce2 I must agree with u

  • Is that surprise a turd?

  • @CoolasIce2 yeah

  • Dear John (NJ):

I owe you a dinner. Your video helped me to unclog the toilet. My fiancee is very happy.

    Thanks, man.

    Martin from HB in OC

  • Humorous, but most important, a very useful demonstration. The instructions on the auger made no sense to me, but John broke down the basics so that even I could unclog my toilet! Thanks!!!

  • Thanks! I appreciate the help. I've been having this problem for a while and I think the auger is what I need.

  • worked great, 5 stars

  • You show that turd whose the boss

  • thanks! it worked!

  • Apples to apples this clip is the truth. Save yourself the definite $134-$200 dollar bill rotorooter or whoever will surely charge you to do the same work.

  • Thank you so much! My toilet was sluggish since we moved in to this house 3 years ago. It's not anymore! The world needs more helpful people like you.

  • This is a very good video, thanks Mr. Landlord. I just bought an auger and watch your video, and after a few minutes of easy work I got the damn toilet unclogged. Thanks a million for your helpful video!

  • THANK YOU!!! This was a fantastic demo. Got the auger at Lowes for $27.00. Works just like you said. Thank you!

  • Bless you for posting this. I have wanted to try this on our EVIL toilet for years but did not know how and was afraid. Today is the day I tackle the beast!

  • Thanks for posting this! I appreciate the educational value of this. This one video alone will save most people a good deal of money.

  • Thank you very much for this posting. After watching it, I went to Walmart and bought one for $7.00.

Took just about 2 minutes to do and it worked like a charm!

I am forever in your debt!

  • is that poop on your shirt?

  • Comment removed

  • Walmart sells this for under $7. It isn't as heavy-duty as the one in the video but it will get the job done and save you a lot of money vs. buying the one from Lowe's/Home Depot.

  • superb video and excellent details!!! i bought an auger from Lowe's and did this--you saved me money and i feel like i made myself useful. thank you so much!! it would've been so embarrassing to call someone in!!!

  • Great video! Thanks for this, I am going to make a trip to the hardware store :)

  • The toilet Auger Really works! I plunged my friends toilet for nearly an hour straight and it was steal clogged! It took me 5 min with the auger, and it was fixed. They cost around 40- 50 $ at Lowes.

  • WTF!!!!

    theres shit in the toilet

  • thank you for this video saved me calling a plumber

  • john, your the fucking man!!! I went to home depo just now and spent 33 something on a three foot toilet auger. It looked exactly like the one you used in the video. anyway, worked like a charm. last time my kid flushed something to clog the drain, the plumber cost me one hundred and forty dollars you saved me almost a hundred , thanks bro'.

  • You've gotta love youtube! I was watching some music videos, went to the toilet and it was blocked. Type in blocked toilet and this guy shows up :) What would we do without technology?

  • Hahahahaha. Well, I'm here for the same reason. Wish me luck tonight.... :((((

  • ok WAAS that poop? IM freakean loling!

  • JAJAJAJAJA It took me a lil while to figure out what that was, It was a broken down snickers bar LMAO. That looked real

  • ..thanks man, i went to home depot and bought this, it took me only about five minutes to unclog my toilet with this, i used the 3 ft. one - cost about $34.99...

  • Thanks John - Thanks to your demo-you taught an idoit how to use it and now I am clog FREE!!! Thanks Again :)

  • ymca

  • Thank you so much! Our toilet was clogged and we, of course, googled the problem and found your video. We watched it intently, then ran out to Home Depot and got the best one they had. Didn't think there was anything down there, but we did find something. But we won't tell you what.

  • Bill Murray would be proud. Thanks, you helped me get a nasty clog out.

  • i've been using this for many many years..and yes, it is the most effective way to deal with clogs.

  • ahhh i really dont want to do this.

    gross...off and on my way

  • I tried my crappy snake... Found out were the term what a piece of S**t came from. Going to get a Auger tomorrow. Wish I knew about them sooner I scratched the bowl a little with that useless snake.

  • I love youtube

  • You sir are a legend.

  • i dumped my fish and flushed it. it was going fine until i heard the water stop.should i buy that auger or dissolve the dead fish inside the toliet with drain o or something like that?

the water is comming out clean but goes down slow. should i stop plunging it and stop flushing it? some one help me fast

  • eww were you holding a real turd? lol

  • Comment removed

  • My thanks to you. You probably saved many people thousands of dollars, and much inconvenience. The world needs more people like you.

  • Thanks a lot John you're the man. Saved my day for sure.

  • Thanks for posting such a great instructional video. Just what I need! Toilet plugged (we won't get into it....) and flushed the first time alright. Subsequent flushes were not so successful. (???)

Even though I turned off the water supply at the floor, the water still was rising in the toilet and had no choice than to bail which resulted in an overflow.

Bought an auger at Home Depot (can I say that?) this morning and will be trying it when I get the courage....

  • John, You are helpful, but the Bon Apetit part was sick:)

  • what no indoor plumbing lol

  • hi. my toilet is having a problem. a few weeks ago, i accidentally dropped a plastic cup(that comes along in a detergent bag) into a toilet while i flushed it. now whenever i flush the toilet, the water rises very high till the rim. i tried the auger to push the cup down but i think it's still stuck there. i worry it'll overflow. pls advise me. thanks.

  • haha why wold you flush it? your gona need a plumer or just try to take it apart yourself(not recomended unless you know what your doing)

  • Hey John...you are freaking awesome..."little gifts" now I am tempted to go stick a wash cloth in my toilet. Thanks.

  • Hi, me and my husband worked on our toilet to remove the clog that my 2 year old made with his toy, it woked out really well,Its not just video, it gave us confident to work on it, its a great service and saved our party day at home tomorrow.

Good job!! keep up your sharing.

  • Hi, I have low flow toilets & one of them drains slowly & occasionally smells(!). Will the toilet auger go far enough to break up accumulation in the outflow, or do I have to dismantle the whole thing?

  • John, thanks for your video.

I have a question for you, please. I have repeated toilet blockages secondary to a)a toilet with a small opening (according to a plumber who wanted to sell me a toilet with a much larger one and b) a low-priced auger that I have been using that sometimes does not work. Henceforth, I had to call the plumber. He showed up with an auger that was a commercial type that was much longer than the one you've used. Is the one you have the best for home use? Suggestions?

  • Nice and clear instructions.

  • My toilet clogged up BADLY the other day and I had to go get one of these since I only had the stupid suction cup plunger which was really a sink plunger. I had to do it twice to undo the poop clog but the poop got caught INSIDE the fat tip of the auger.....so I had a field day cleaning the auger. Other than it being a bitch to clean, the auger is something every household should have.

  • good vid.. i tried this b4 but i sucked at it so it didnt work .. i called a plumber.. a decent neybohood guy .. 40$ compared to a plumber quote 150.

I have . or had a clogged toilet right now..

im at my gf place.. and shes asleep..

however it wasnt a bad clog.. just a small one i guess. like it was draining slowly.

so i just kept pouring jugs of hot water in it.. i think its cleared now.. after about 30 mins of doing this

  • My cousin and I just saved a 200$ Plumber on a Sunday fee. We went out and bought a 10$ auger, watched your video and are saved!!! Thanks sir! I really need a explicit step by step approach when it comes to DIY!

  • YO MAN YOU SAVED MY LIFE...well, my hygiene anyway..

  • Well done, informative and entertaining. Thanks!

  • thanks! appreciate the humour. :-)

  • Very helpful video. Thanks a lot. Picked up a toilet auger for $8 and change, followed your instructions and it got the job done.

  • great, now time to try it out and see if it can fix my issue

  • Great video! Thanks for making such a thorough and instructive video. I think that since this is only the first time I've had a blockage like this that I will hire a plumber, but if it happens a second time, I'm shelling out the $50 for an auger.
