@666MeGi666. your doing him no favours resurrecting this. You know his current situation. Speak to his ex-colleagues. cancelling my you tube account. No inetest in you views, if you were around at the time you would know the truth.
Paul is an amazing guy and im proud to say I know him!
Not many people appreciate The Coastguards and what they do unless you know them.
So tbh Brenda and Fancy4cakes or whatever you better let you mouth do the talking and not your arse because your chatting shit, you dont respect Paul now but you would if you were dangling off a fucking cliff . You people really are sick to say shit like that.
As a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, I can promise you that you would have the overwhelming support of your collegues from across the pond. This world needs more men like you. Great job, Mr. Waugh
At the end of the day he was there for the girl who must have been bricking it ,he took a calculated risk ,even if it wasnt SOP , well just take the bollicking and forget it , if the girl had slipped off the cliff while they were fannying about rigging safety equipment the same penpushers wouldnt have it on their conscience but he would ! forthe rest of his life !
Hi Paul, i am a coastguard in NI and we all fully back the work that you done and being in the same boat i will know to take my uniform of first to rescue the young girl. You where to tell them to shove it where the sun doesnt shine.
"The Coastguard teams do a fantastic job, but save your praise for the real heroes."
Fancy4cakes..... to whom do you refer as "Real Heroes"? ask any serving coastguard they will never refer to themselves as heroes (except a very small few - and they are here for the wrong reasons....) we all volunteer our services for the good of others - if you cant deal with that or are a CRO who wants a chest full of medals you are preaching to the wrong people
You misunderstand me. What I mean is that in my opinion the real heroes are the ones you refer too. Those who do the job for the right reason not for publicity. I m not a coastguard, but live on the coast and see a lot of the good work that they do. I m in total agreement with you.
You're basically saying that because Paul risked his life to save her instead of fannying around he did it for publicity? You honestly need to grow the fuck up sunshine.
So their you go people in future, don't try to save someones life (which I know that's what coastguards do) but y'know you'll be doing it for publicity so yeah. You make heaps of sense love.
hey mate your the one bein clever.Ive seen local teams doing stuff you wouldnt believe i had alot of chew in the background and had no support from my so called station officer and my family have suffered too i never released the vidio the police did
i didnt resign on radio i had resigned the day after boxing day when a boss from bridlington rang to wine and i told him there and then i had finished it was obvious the MCA were goin to make a comment i loved my job so its took alot for me to finish and the back stabbing from my SO who froze on the cliff top
Hello juff dont get me wrong we need to make sure were all safe but when you geton the job you have to assess the situation we were under manned the vehicle was stuck in a field we called for assistance which turned up after the job. If we had been allowed to check the access points instead of penny pinching we would have known about the gates.
The Coastguard teams do a fantastic job, but save your praise for the real heroes. This guy chose to resign on the radio, his aim to cause maximum embarassment to the MCA, there was no reprimand, no investigation over health and safety issues (see the MCA presss release) He WALKED down to the girl, I know the site well. Its not 300ft, there was no gale that night, total exaggeration. his tales in the media are total exaggeration. And Discretion is the better part of valour!!
Hell Fanny cakes i was not slagging the coastguard off i have many friends all over the country that are coastguards.you dont know what happened like the station officer who got us to falsly fill the log book in so he wouldnt get into trouble and lied out of his backside.you are probably one of these people sat behind a computer ready to have a go at anybody but dont really have any of the facts.
This guy is a joke, an attention seeker. I have been to that area, there is no way it was as dangerous as he made it look. Rules are rules and there to be adhered to. What would have happened if they had both been killed, who would take the blame then? ..... His employers...THE MCA. Good riddance to people like this.
Looked bloody dangerous to me from the footage....
Wind yer neck in unless you have something constructive to say..... as has already been pointed out he saved a life.... probably more than you have ever done
hey brenda your full of crap what do you know about anything your another winger have nothing to do but winge about other people.I didnt make it look dangerous it did it on its own also i didnt take the vidio the police did so get a life
I would like to thank you very much for this and the music is off one of my favorite films my hairs stood up on my neck.I had said to faye dont worry i wont let you go or fall and i wached this film and there is a similar piece init which brought a tear to my eye thanks again mate i wish i could record it
