@Jamescs007 Cerebros who spike becomes the head off was already alive. He was just formatted to become the head of the city when its in robot mode.

What series is this? It's after the movie obviously since it's with has Cyclonus and the gang. And what happened to Galvatron?

@NintendoBoxHeads This is "The Transformers" (aka G1). It's the "Rebirth" mini-series which followed after "The Return of Optimus Prime"; it's sometimes referred to as "season 4", although it's only 3 episodes. Galvatron's around, but the focus is on the new Headmasters, Targetmasters and Citybots. This is from the climax of the last episode of the series.

@stephen19590 They didn't "just stop". They developed a season-wide premise for season 4, but they put it aside and wrote Rebirth to wind the series up. They're not the first 3 episodes of a season that was never completed; Rebirth was written as a mini-series, and was produced and aired as one.

Same here when I first saw the scene with Fortress Maximus as a kid, my jaw dropped. Nowadays kids don't have cartoons to watch that give them that feeling of excitement.

I sold my Fort Max years ago for $700 loose but complete. So start there for a price point.
