  • THE UMPIRE WASN'T RIGHT i play tennis and i now that when someone challenge and the ball is in, but a line judge call it ´´out´´ they play the point AGAIN.

    RADWANSKA WAS RIGHT

  • This man, Kader Nouni is very unprofessional, he should be trained again or change his job. He is confusing the players and the audience.

  • This clown and his ego keeps ruining games. What happened with Nalbandian at 8-8 in the 5th is also a disgrace. How they kept him at work is beyond me.

  • Kader Nouni did again a mistake this week, refusing a challenge to the poor nalbadian at a very important point

  • Shame of ITF

  • If she hadnt returned the ball, for instance, if the shot would have been a winner, then she loses the pt, but she did return the ball, & she wasnt the one who stopped play, so it should have been a let.

And there is no rule that challenges have to be on pt ending shots.

    SMH!!

  • Anybody who thinks the umpire made the correct decision is an idiot and doesnt know tennis. That means you silentflight & mizerathom. The linesperson called the ball out, then corrected her call. Radwanska was there & returned the ball. Once the linesperson makes the call the pt is over. .

  • This fuckying idiot chair umpire has just fucked David Nalbandian up in a match for AO 2012. French bastard!

  • @Brandovski1 IT's time for him to find a new line of work

  • kadar is a douche..that's it

  • This video went viral on Philippines

  • I don't understand this... so Radwanksa wants the point to be replayed because it was in and she stopped play? What?

  • @TheHenMen You posted weeks ago so maybe you already figured it out, but if not the Linesperson called it out so play was stopped. Radwanska wants the point to be replayed because she was there to hit the ball. The chair was wrong. They should have replayed the point.

  • @jjmaze The thing is, if she didn't Challenge after he said correction then they would've played a let. But she did say "Challenge" so the challenge was challenging the Correction thus saying the Ball was out.

    Also, the Isner match. Man....

  • @mizerathom I do see both sides to it, however officials that are in charge of making correct calls are confused about their calls. I think to challenge because they made a mistake at one point. Why should she be penalized because someone couldn't do their job correctly. I'm not sure what the exact rules are but according to the commentators he should have indicated to her that the challenge would cancel out the opportunity to replay the point.

  • @jjmaze True, if only he was smart....

  • Radwańska better knows the rules than this referee.

  • The umpire made the correct decision. The people who think Aga was correct really need to learn something about tennis!

  • @iMidnightSkies So why did the WTA call Radwanska into their office after this match to apologies ? Sorry dude you dont' know what you are talking about. Maybe you shoule print your own rules of tennis like Kadar.

  • @bhoy029 So why did the umpire and referee agree with me? :)

  • Funny thing the umpire is saying Radwanska wants another chance to win the point. What other chance? The ball was called out so Safarova had lost the point. Radwanska obviously wanted to call it out but she called it in after returning it so the point should have been simply replayed. She is giving Safarova another chance, not herself! Plus she was also right about the call so she should have not lost the challenge too. And by the way she's so hot that she should be right anyway.

  • this is soooo tough ... really it shuda been a replay bcoz the challenge came afta the "out-correction" was made and radwanska returned the ball bak afta tat so really shud be replayd even if she made a challenge she can make a challenge on this without repercussions of losing the point but evry tough to try to officiate it wen ur in the chair making the decision in real time

  • she was right because she was distracted by the line judge call, and she hit the ball so it's replay the point, if she didn't call the challenge it was replay the point, so i don't see the difference, the only thing she should have lost is the challenge

  • She's gorgeous

  • She has right- think: she could play, but she challenge. If she could not reach the ball and will be challenging she will be lost the point . In this case No. She has right. Is it simple?:)

  • Watching this again makes me so mad. The way Kader handled the situation, he was so unprofessional. I hate him.

  • she should lose the point, everything else is not logical

  • At first I thought the umpire was right, but now I'm starting to change my mind. If no call had been made, and Radwanska had stopped playing and challenged, then if the ball was in, she should lose the point. The umpire didn't see a difference between this hypothetical situation and the real one. But in the real one, she didn't stop playing (a let was called), so she shouldn't lose even if its in. It's sort of like challenging on a first serve that hits the net. You don't lose if it's in.

  • Poor Agnieska. She should probably make a movement or a cause to make every player aware of this....lol.......

But still <3 Agnieska. Just too bad that players aren't made well aware of the permutations and the consequences.........=/

  • that's too ridiculous!

  • What's the controversy here? Aggie was wrong because she challenged a ball that was in her favor.

  • That's so ridiculous!! Once the overrule was made, the point was over!! no question!! It was just a matter of replaying it or Radwanska winning it....wow, I kinda understand the umpire's reasoning, but still, it's not fair at all.

  • Radwańska jest żałosna!!!!!!!!

  • antytalent z niej

  • murzyn do wora i do jeziora bez pierdolenia

  • I don't know the rules, but referees can make mistakes , same as players , and in this case with sport spirit it should be reapeted i think..

  • @apkrakow The rules are very fair, if you understand them. The point would have been replayed normally, but when a player challenges, the shot becomes a point-ending shot and you either lose or win the point.

To give an extreme example, if a player hits a shot that gives him a big advantage in the point, you can just challenge, even if the ball was in the middle of the court and the point will be replayed because I was near the ball, no?

  • @silentflight1 Then how do you explain this: watch?v=1TE0wp9XXok ?

  • Agbieszka was right, after the match WTA officially apologized her, Kader Nouni seems to be nice guy but was wrong and against sport spirit, but the other thing is that Radwanska should play more and cry less...

  • watch?v=1TE0wp9XXok

  • boże jaka on jest śliczna, 3:05 słychac strzały.

  • idiota z tego sedziego

  • mało się nie powyła :) idealna partia dla Crystyny z Reala :)

  • Nie powinna była tak się wykłócać, tylko skupić się na grze, a nie na własnych zranionych uczuciach.

  • In my opinion this is the fault of the umpire because he shouldnt have let Aga challenge the ball because if he wouldve explained to her that if it was in she wouldve lost the point then aga wouldnt have challenged. And i have seen many players before do what she did and then replay the point. also i think Kader tries to be too serious he has a record for confrontations and mistakes (i.e zvonareva Doha 2008) Even though she was crying and I felt bad for her, my Aga looked damn sexy arguing.

  • @bensterk everyone knows that if you challenge and you're wrong you lose the point. That's why the rules say that you can only challenge on a POINT-ENDING SHOT.

  • @silentflight1 everyone knows that? then why did the WTA issue official apologies?

  • @RysioACF WTA are girls, they apologize for everything. Perhaps they're sorry for the situation that was created but the umpire's call was spot on as seconded by the tournament supervisor. Hope this helps.

  • @silentflight1

The WTA even admitted that Kader had made a mistake and they issued agnieszla an apology...so im right..and youre wrong...!

  • @bensterk if you go to Doha today and cry on court the WTA will issue an official apology to you too. If you can give me a WTA official explaining why and according to which rules was Kader wrong, then I would say you were right and I was wrong.

  • @silentflight1 Not correct. If you challenge and you´re wrong, the original situation stands. And the original situation was that the linesman made a mistake, thus creating a replay of the point.

  • @vandboeffel do you understand the "you cannot have two chances to win the point" rule? You have a chance to win the point when you challenge, and if that doesn't work, you want another chance when the point is replayed.

  • @silentflight1 There is no "you cannot have two chances to win the point" rule. And yes, you can have two chances, as WTA has admitted in their apology to miss Radwanska.

  • agneska right but look at the point she almost quit playing

  • Doesn't matter what the linesman said, if you challenge and you are wrong you lose the point, it's that simple.

  • @silentflight1 Bullshit! You dont lose a point, you lose the chance!

  • The rules are a bit confusing, but I think the umpire is absolutely correct. If the ball hadn't been called out and Radwanska had challenged, she would have lost the point because she was wrong. That shouldn't change just beacuse the linesperson corrected themselves.

  • biedna Agnieszka, żal mi jej. głupie zasady!

  • It's not like it changed the outcome of the match, who cares. Lucie was the better player and that's why she won in straight sets! She now has a 3-1 H2H record against Radwanska! :)

  • First I thought the umpire's decision was absurd, but coming to think of it, it seems fair. the point would have been replayed if Agnieszka hadn't called a challenge.

But she did, and then there were two options: (1) she wins the challenge (the ball was out) and she wins the point without replaying it; (2) she loses the challenge (the ball was in) and she loses the point. A successful challenge would have given her a point, so it seems fair that the lost challenge made her lose the point.

  • @jareks78 Kadar was wrong, the WTA made an official apology to Radwanska.

  • Correction + Challenge = Confusion

  • That's a major error in the rules, it doesn't make any freaking sense.

  • agnjeska.. :D

  • Radwanska was correct , this has happened before with The umpire ''Lang'' and she replayed the point. The players would of been aware that this happened before and what was the ruling was on court. If Alison Lang was wrong with her call, then all the players should of been made aware of this, as they are with any rule change, but they were not, so Lang's call was seen by the WTA as being ''Correct''

It's just a poor call for Kadar, the umpires can't change the rule for every game.

  • @bhoy029 For the stupid people who said the umpire was ''corrrect'' this is a statement from Radwanska. "Just after match I got an official apology in WTA office. They claimed they had commited an unforgivable mistake''

    Kadar is a Dupek

  • @bhoy029 Radwanska was wrong.Had she not asked for challenge ball would have been replayed.

Radwanska asked for a challenge and she lost challenge and this is the end of story.

  • @MegaMaksimum So why did the WTA call her into their office after this match to apologies ?

  • @bhoy029 Yeah he should have informed her before the Challenge stating that there was a correction on the call and if she still wanted to challenge.

  • giudice di linea@menopausa

  • Haha, this part is the highlight of the match even doe Radwanska lost the 1st set from 5-1 up. I saw the odds for Safarova to win when she was 5-1 down @11 decimal odds. Wish I placed 100 pounds on Safarova to win match when she got one of the breaks back I could of got 1,000 pounds. Safarova is one of the players that comes back from behind a lot of the times and wins matches more than other players I can remember.

  • hehe ciekawa sytuacja :)
