It would be awesome if you could make a simelar setup but with 3 lasers, R, G, and B.
I would love to play with a setup like this, standing waves and interference has always facinated me, but normally that has only been in 1 plane, playing with it in 3 planes gives so many more possibilities it's hard to fathom.
Would you consider making (or getting help from a programmer) and make a program for having a spirograph like this illustrate musics melody and rythm visually (or as art?).
this is very good looking. i made one, but the patterns aren't that steady. you also seem to be able to make patterns that mine can't do. great work. it looks awesome.
How did you choose the angles of the mirrors and where you point the laser ? or did you just do it randomly?

I'm using 555-timers as well. Maybe you don't have the frequency right, or too much voltage for the motors.
