Just upgraded to the Sansa+, Best thing about both of them is that you can record radio... I've also got a spare 8g memory card to increase my storage from the 4 i get to 12. This is a must buy for anyone who likes to listen to music. And also very cheap on Ebay
I actually prefer the ability to treat my mp3 player as a simple storage device and drag & drop onto it at will without requiring another program, like iTunes. The requirement to use iTunes for iPod products is just a proprietary way of getting you to buy songs through iTunes.
if you rockbox the clip+ it will soud more natural and have better soundstaging than most cowon products. Now i am saying it sounds more natural and not "better" because to alot of people will sound a tad on the boring side. i have the sansa clip+ and a cowon j3 and the cowon is a bit more fun and colored to my ears. also a nice touch for the cowon is is thas a sh*tload of eq settings so you can tweak the sound to your liking. though at the price point the sansa is a great buy to get in to hifi.
The sansa sucks. I have a sansa clip, and it doesn't even synch all my songs. I had to drag and drop EVERY single one of my 350 songs into EVERY single artist I have, and I had to spend TWO HOURS synching every single folder. And guess what? Not even HALF of my songs went onto the clip. Not only that, but when it first came on, it came with shitty music.
@CaptainHalodude I don't know anything about installing software, and it's too much of a pain. I'd prefer to just easily synch all 300 of my songs onto my iPod from iTunes, thank you very much. It's too much trouble to download software, buy a memory card when I can just synch from iTunes, which does it right away. Unlike Rhapsody, which took almost 2 hours to synch. Piece of shit. Not everyone gets Sansa. I know several people that hate Sansa products.
LOLOLOL so basically that guy is a dumbass. he probably doesnt even understand the concept of "drag and drop" lol. using sansa without any software is more simple and painless than crappy itunes and all their annoying ads. sansa reigns supreme in my book followed by the sony walkman !!
im an ipod collector for the last 5 years and have had well over 20, frankly I have still had sandisks and love them too, i use my ipod touch for everything but for music alone Id prefer one of these but damn the clip is almost too small
just bought the 4gb one for $20 even though i already have a android phone and walkman. i don't want to waste my phone battery for music and the walkman doesn't do podcasts well
ipod is so shit even the touch try to use it ones completelty spoiled my run , and the shuffle has no screen ,,a nd apple sound quality is really bad for the price , imean philips is better gonna try sandisk though
i'm not computer saavy, can someone please tell me how i can put music on this thing. it wants to sync to my widows media player but I don't even use the Media Player so I'm not used to navigating within that program. My PhillipsGoGearMix was like a jump drive that I just had to plug into USB port, click on MyMusic and send the file to the E:Drive -there is no E:Drive w/ the Sansa so I'm lost. The directions don't help. Can anyone simplify it for me please?
I bought the original Sansa clip 3 years ago and still use it. It is great. I only change the ear piece to Sony. I bought my daughter the newer model of the Sansa clip and she likes it. For the price it is worth it. I use for walking. I suggest buying a rubber like covers to protect when you accidentally drop it.
Hmm, what would I rather have? A piece of plastic that has no screen and fucking retarded sound quality and only 2gb for 50 bucks, or a full featured audio player with high quality sound and a beautiful interface for 8 gb for only 70 bucks, shitty sansa
Although compatible with Win XP, it only works with the latest Win Media Player v 10 or 11 updates in default mode. The device does *not* appear as a new drive in Win XP sp2 even with Win Media Player installed.
dumbasses in school buying apple ipods and everyone i see SUUCKKSS. and theres always something wrong with it -_- sure they are awsome to look at and touch untill u smash your finger through the screen.
another thing I did like about the Sansa Clip+ is that music was amazingly simple to sync. Just go the mp3 file, right click and hit "send to" Sansa Clip. Couldn't be easier. Also easier to delete songs. I haven't figured out how to delete songs from my Shuffle in iTunes.
Another thing, the Sansa can sync music whether you're online or not. You must be online to sync to an Ipod.
I'm really only interested in this player because i hate using my itouch as a music player(app store is the only major appeal of the itouch) and creative stopped making nifty little players like this.
@polaris911 the sound quality is great, especially at high volume. My chief problem with the Sansa Clip is that they malfunction so easily. If it's jarred in anyway, it stops working. Very suspectible to use in the rain, and the port for the headphones gets loose rendering it totally unusable.

Could only figure that the Sansa was all sweaty since it was clipped up to my neck. The salt from my sweat probably zapped the electronics.....Sucks!!!!!!
mi mp3 sansa is not reconized by any pc, it just charge the battery when I connect to the computer, do you have any solution of this?? because i have tried everything!! including the sansa web supporting , but nothing happens! helpme
I have the original one and I'm in love. The sound quality is AWESOME, I take it when I run late at night or when I sleep. Since it was a bargain I don't suffer so much if it falls from the bed or if I roll over it. The only thing I don't like is it's incompatibility with AAC.
Can somebody tell me if I take my 27 playlists off my windows media player and sync them, will they all show up under diffrent playlists, b/c that's my hope.(My genre folders is mixed up) Since it's may 2010, will it support the new 32gb cards, or just the 16gb cards? What does the manual say about it?Thanks
It'll do your playlists, just sync those playlists with WMP. And it does take 32GB cards. It states 16GB most likely because Sandisk didn't come out with their own 32GB cards by then (they make microSD cards too)
@themangodess Do you know how to sync playlists to micro sdhc card using wmp? I heard that once you select a playlist song from sdhc card you cant move backward in list but must go forward only. Why?
lmao no one said there was a law against buying stuff for fashion.. it's just stupid.
80 dollar 4 gb shuffle turns into a paper clip if you lose the proprietary earbuds.
whereas i just ordered an 8 gb clip+, JVC HAFX66 in-ear headphones, and a 16 gb microsd card for $110, counting shipping+tax.
If I had gone to the store instead of shopping online, i'd have a rig with literally 6 times the memory, a screen, and better sound quality from the buds and the player for just $15 more.
what happens when the battery runs out? will the customers be provided with new devices (like apple does - of course not for free...)? i myself will hack the device - but that for sure isn´t what most of the other users will do.
why cant apple just fit the fawking 3 control buttons on the shuffle? dont they make enough money? do they really need to make money on those earbuds?
SDSC+ is my soulmate - functional things for functional people. I really don´t want to get diverted by the device itself. Aesthetics took a step forwards since they´re pointing in the direction of BAUHAUS - and move away from
I don't know if you're referring to the Shuffle as being fashionable, but if so, is it really fashionable, or is it just Apple's douche box marketing department that are making people think having an iPod makes you look cooler? The new shuffle looks like a flash drive. It's like saying that a flash drive looks incredibly sexy and that you look cooler if you have one clipped to your pocket.
like the guy in mentioned. "for those who value function over fashion"
i totally agree with that because besides having a lot of features, the sansa clip is a lot sexier and cheaper than an iPod shuffle that doesn't even have buttons.
I think so, too. And at the end of the day, I just want a player that plays music and affords some convenience in the form of a display and some buttons.
Exactly. The iPad is absolute shit, especially for developers. Apple's fanbase consists of tools, and these people will eventually kill the PC just by being ignorant to the major restrictions on the iPad.. they're going to encourage other companies to make tablets of their own.
I get really tired of people bagging Ipod buyers like we're all stupid drones. I have had a number of players, creative, zune, and now an Ipod Touch 64g.
Why?
Because I use it for a bunch of stuff. Movies, music, games (inc ScummVM), apps, wifi internet, remote PC (VNC).
If you're after just audio and video, get a Cowon. But I wasn't. I wanted to use all those other things, and can.
Now reply calling me a sheep, you know you want to.
What would make you a sheep is if you got a shuffle over the Sansa Clip and paid more for it, meanwhile, you get no radio tuner, screen, or slot radio.
@V1RU5ex3 I kind of regret asking for an iPod Classic last Christmas. It's generally quite polished, but it does have a few bugs, it's really expensive (the connector on mine broke - £90 repair.), and it's annoying to use on linux.
When they come out with the 32gb microSD card, the clip+ will support that as well.. Just thought you'd want to know that. BTW am i the only one who STILL can't find these at any retailers after supposedly having been out for 2 days already?
Sorry I have no clue.. All I know is that its gonna happen and that its coming eventually. Idunno judging by the price difference between the 8gb card and the 16 gig one, the 32 gig price will probably be insane. I'll probably eventually get a 16 gig when needed unless they decide to reduce the price contrast between memory.
Not really. If you look at the prices now, normally we're talking around fifty-five dollars for one.. That is more than twice the price of an 8gb card. An 8 gig card which is usually around 20 bucks, is only a few dollars more than a 2 or 1 gig card.. The price per gig actually goes up a little when the card goes from 8 to 16 gigs. If the pattern continues, as I said before, it may not pay to buy the 32 gig card as the price may be well over 100 bucks.

@3cheers4Ger you're an idiot for saying that. All you have to do is install 3rd party synching software to sync you media between PC and MP3.
Regarding your problem that not even HALF of your music went onto the media player, you just had to buy a new memory card to expand the memory.
Also, why didn't you just use your mouse to highlight all the music you want to copy, then Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V to copy and paste everything?
I'm surprised you didn't remove that comment.

Great to see it next to a cassette tape. :) I still have a Sony Walkman (the original Walkman that is), still works fine.

People buy the iPod just 'cause it's apple, and "fashionable."
What a bunch of suckers.

oh its so terrible if people buy stuff because its fashionable! they should make a law against it, right?

@battiebomba different strokes for different folks.
anyways, I want one of these mp3 players! so simple yet packs a lot of features!
i wonder how's the battery life

Exactly. The iPad is absolute shit, especially for developers. Apple's fanbase consists of tools, and these people will eventually kill the PC just by being ignorant to the major restrictions on the iPad.. they're going to encourage other companies to make tablets of their own.

Let people choose, what they want
It's actually just a device to hear music with.
Let us don't argue about it :-)

I get really tired of people bagging Ipod buyers like we're all stupid drones. I have had a number of players, creative, zune, and now an Ipod Touch 64g.
Why?
Because I use it for a bunch of stuff. Movies, music, games (inc ScummVM), apps, wifi internet, remote PC (VNC).
If you're after just audio and video, get a Cowon. But I wasn't. I wanted to use all those other things, and can.
Now reply calling me a sheep, you know you want to.

@bersaba

I got one of these about a week or so ago. It's excellent but the only thing I don't like about it is the short battery life!

When they come out with the 32gb microSD card, the clip+ will support that as well.. Just thought you'd want to know that. BTW am i the only one who STILL can't find these at any retailers after supposedly having been out for 2 days already?
nintendude7cubed 2 years ago 3
Do you know when the 32gb microSD card will be in the shops? It was supposed to be available by now
John27346 2 years ago
Sorry I have no clue.. All I know is that its gonna happen and that its coming eventually. Idunno judging by the price difference between the 8gb card and the 16 gig one, the 32 gig price will probably be insane. I'll probably eventually get a 16 gig when needed unless they decide to reduce the price contrast between memory.
nintendude7cubed 2 years ago
Thank you for your time, But you're talking out of your arse.
John27346 2 years ago
