1. Don't even reinstall the game, just remove your mod.

ok but i downloaded the mod then i went to the game launcher and then went to data files and turned it on (by doing that i also found out how to turn on my expansion packs) so then i played the game and my expansion packs worked but the settlers mod didnt

You get a garbage can in your inventory. Once you place it, everything is self-explaining.

It should be added to your inventory (aid section) when you activate the mod. You just have to click it, close your Pipboy, and it should be loaded into your construction set. Than click on the [Hot Key] in your inventory (aid section), close your Pipboy and you should be able to place it.

in the tutorial, when you have to place a shelter, my shelter comes up as a big, red exclamation mark. This also happens for my workbench. I can't ectivate the shelter, so im unable to proceed with the tutorial. plz help sum1!

This is a known issue and is almost always caused by missing meshes. Make sure you copy the meshes folder to the Fallout 3 Meshes folder. I hope this helped.

Once it's activated you will get a message after a few seconds. It's like a DLC: everything is self-explaining.

8/5/'09 the Beta was released to about 35 testers. They are testing it right now to check for bugs and make suggestions.

The version for the public will not be out for quite some time. If you're not selected for the Beta testing, please be patient.

2. Open the Fallout 3 Launcher (the window that opens when you place the CD)

3. Click 'Data Files'

4. Check the box for the mod that you want to activate. NEVER uncheck Fallout3.esm

sweet thing with this mod is, theres only one place that it can't be placed, and that is a city on stilts, because your villagers just walk around underneath it xD, I like making villages on the freeways, there's a particularly good one just a bit away from the abandoned car fort :]
