I consider myself to be more or less on the way to becoming intellectual, but I doubt intellect has a great deal to do with music.

Subjective appreciation of music that conveys a unique message or feeling is entirely different from going with what the mainstream considers good music, don't get me wrong.

I just really hope a preference for one of those two ways of listening to music isn't heavily influenced by intelligence!
