@47wma: thats what I do. But would you also say, that only scotsman can play golf? I've seen chinese do terrible movements and call it qigong or taijiquan.

@47wma If the Eskimo cook is good in cooking Chinese i woud be his student! I think you are a student in nothing! sry but your coment is bääääää iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii pfui!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His movements are relaxed and fluid, but as a long time practitioner I can see some key things that could be improved. Rising and Sinking are a major role in inhalation and exhalation. Thus "rooting" is a major part of Qigong. Also his breathes look constricted, and almost as if he's not breathing at all, or very little through the nose. I don't say this to critisize him, but deep breathes into the stomach, and connecting breathing with movements are the keystones of an advanced practitioner!
This Qigong has a very special breathing technique. The pace is different, not uniform. The breath should be invisible and not heard. I practice various methods of Qigong, this is very unusual and requires long practice
@hagbarth This may be useful for controling breath, but in my opinion the natural breathing of an infant or (primordial breathing) in my experience is superior. If it is a invisible breath then, should it not be long, slow and deep? I just don't see any signs of that. He breath seems very shallow. I will look at some of his other videos and if he has multiple methods then this would be "controled breathing method" but if all his qigong is like this, then I would question some things.
You are very skilled. There is an aspect here that is very important for someone to observe. You make full use of the slow motion, this is a perfect demonstration of how slow motion qi gong is supposed to be done.
I am practicing Qigong. In fact just started about 3 months ago. It is hard to describe the feeling. You can look for a class in your area and try it out for yourself.
It's not a stupid question at all. It is a very legitimate question actually and the fact that people would rather say that it can't be answered clearly stands for what qiqong has become: a total scam. If people think they are gonna be more healthy or stronger just by standing still and slowliy moving their arms around they are fooled.
this tape barely gets to intermediate , and qigong generally starts off with slow movements . in fact , my qigong set starts off with slow movements that don't build intensity until the final two excersises out of ten movement patterns .
but i do agree it takes a lot more than watching some guy wave his hands around and trying to mimic him to learn it . that would just be a waste of time.
you should try it you will live long and be healthy it cleanses the mind and body, people fear what they dont understand chi gong takes long practice but has amazing qualitys

I prefer to learn from a Chinese master by whom the culture streams in his blood. This is like learning to cook Chinese food from an Eskimo.

and it is possible to answer seriously
