Ebay has outsourced all of its Customer service overseas , they have no laws there and can do or say what they want...what a shit hole ebay has turned out to be...and the fees are high and thay pay low wages in foriegn countrys.
I believe I got the lawsuit card a couple years ago but haven't heard anything. I just got screwed yesterday when eBay/Paypal took money and froze my accounts. I shipped tools I sold with delivery confirmation and the guy claims not to have them... i already contacted a law firm.. Freed& Weiss LLC

Hi Joe my complaint lately is many of my items have been tossed off due to policy violations..but other people have the same items up Like toy guns with no orange barrel plug. Learned something new about USPS and insurance. Those black insurance labels at USPS are for items of $200 or less in cost BUT you need to buy Signature also to have that so called sellers protection from paypal. The blue USPS insurance labels are for items over $200 in cost and Signature Confirmation is automatic for these labels. I see so many people getting scammed for high dollar items that its not worth selling anything of value unless you can afford to lose money!!!

What I don't like about eBay is there feedback system. Buyers offten blackmail you or threat you to leave a negative feedback for stupid reasons or simply scam you and if you don't agree with then you get a negative feedback. That's messed up
I made an auction site with the person feedback system. It had no rating just text. You could leave up to 2000 characters & scrollbars hid the excess text so it wouldn't clog a screen. & you could write more than the 3 feedbacks (original,reply,followup) eBay lets you.
But no one else would sell on it, for free, no matter what I did. I didn't have money to hire people to list on it or time to make lots of listings myself so I had to shut it down. Seller's fault we stuck w/eBay
If you as a seller get a buyer who doesn't pay, then you file a UPI with eBay, and they tell you that two strikes and this buyer is out. What they don't tell you is that one strike is Okay, this buyer is still 100% positive. This is just like Ebay. Yea what else is new.
Ebay SUCKS a big time. For one thing, they don't have a rating for the condition of the packaging, and if your seller used a substandard packaging, you have absolutely no recourse. If you paid for the shipping, you can leave a one-star feedback on shipping however this is technically about the cost of shipping not its condition. Guess what happens if the shipping is FREE - then you have no recourse at all. Take it and no option for leaving. WATCH OUT FOR THIS.

I was thinking of sueing ebay in small claims court and when I did the research I found that to sue they have to have a office in your city or state. Interesting, I was told by a collection agency that anytime you do business on ebay that you are a unequal business partner and are bound with decisions made by ebay. All a buyer has to say with the buyer protection plan is they didn't get the item as descibed and they are guanteed a FULL REFUND if paid with a credit card or paypal. Evil Ebay.
What's frustrating me so much is the darn Ebay Fees, not sure if it's higher with paypal, but in general ebay fees go through the roof.. I recently sold 30 lots of 30 78 rpm early rock and roll records to fund a cross country relocation. I made over $10,000 on the lots via auction. 1 buyer outbid every one else and won all 30. I sent records out. a week later he says "There was not one rock record in the lots" I knew he was gonna charge back, so I emptied out the bank account closed it and ended my relationship with ebay for good. no refunds means no refunds.
yeah every week or so i get a buyer who after recieving the item and leaving positive feedback they claim they didnt recieve it and poof there goes my money
I just set up my buyer requirements so they have to have 4 feedback to buy it now. That still does not stop people from claiming unauthorized payment after getting the item though. I called paypal and a representative told me it's possible for people to issue an unauthorized payment claim even up to a year after the purchase. All a scammer has to do is say somebody else used their card. This happened to me 3 times already.
I got a guy who had a PO box in the zip code 30162, but located in a post office of zip code 30165. Post office scanned 30165 so PayPal buyer protection failed, though after a lot of emails and evidence and label being printed by PayPal, they granted me protection but soon after froze my account. The buyer who bought through eBay did a "not authorized" chargeback for a $10 amount and doesn't respond to my emails. Instead he keeps redisputing the $10 charge just to be pure evil.
I got hit by paypal and i think i will get hit back again soon, I made the mistake of selling overseas; i sold a brand new factory sealed iphone 4 16gb 100% original to a guy in Russia, then he open a case saying that item wasn't as describe it, that he got a chinese phone instead.... I was like what !!!!!!! any how my paypal account is - 486 dollars, WHAT WOULD IT HAPPPEN IF I DONT PAY PAYPAL BACK ? can they take me to court ? will it screw my credit ?

you might not like this but maybe it is better if you just accept paypal, you should just try it for a month and see if it is worth it even with the paypal fee? I bet you the dead bet bidders will drop down, i've never been scammed by paypal, but I've only ever sold like 20 items through paypal. so idk. people who only accept paypal probably cant keep track of different payments going to 5 different places. I think it then becomes to hard. but l'm not sure just a guess. good vid keep it up.
@keywest302 Thats not my point, my point is even though it does suck, a huge % of buyers prefer to use it as they dont get fee'd and is alot faster and safer. dead bet buyers are more worse then paypal, I would rather accept paypal as a payment and get small fee's then have dead bet bidders/ angry buyers/ negative feedback/ wasted time spent sorting them out? plus once the buyer has payed it shows it straight away unlike some back acc transactions, that can take over night
@killzone474 You asked if it really matters? Question is, do you really matter? Paypal sucks because they nickle and dime you for everything you sell then they decide what to do with your money. They even decide when to pay you from a buyer but at the same time they want you to ship out a high dollar item. You ship out item, buyer claims a SNAD or IND (Item not delivered) then now you have lost your item PLUS the original shipping fees. Use paypal if you like but others dont like being screwed!!
Actually the best new payment system out there is bitcoins. Bitcoins is a peer-to-peer encryption system and no one controls it so no one can freeze your money. Look up Bitcoins on wikipedia. Bitcoins!

I recently sold 30 lots of 30 78 rpm early rock and roll records to fund a cross country relocation. I made over $10,000 on the lots via auction. 1 buyer outbid every one else and won all 30. I sent records out. a week later he says "There was not one rock record in the lots" I knew he was gonna charge back, so I emptied out the bank account closed it and ended my relationship with ebay for good. no refunds means no refunds.

yeah every week or so i get a buyer who after recieving the item and leaving positive feedback they claim they didnt recieve it and poof there goes my money

I just set up my buyer requirements so they have to have 4 feedback to buy it now. That still does not stop people from claiming unauthorized payment after getting the item though. I called paypal and a representative told me it's possible for people to issue an unauthorized payment claim even up to a year after the purchase. All a scammer has to do is say somebody else used their card. This happened to me 3 times already.

I got a guy who had a PO box in the zip code 30162, but located in a post office of zip code 30165. Post office scanned 30165 so PayPal buyer protection failed, though after a lot of emails and evidence and label being printed by PayPal, they granted me protection but soon after froze my account. The buyer who bought through eBay did a "not authorized" chargeback for a $10 amount and doesn't respond to my emails. Instead he keeps redisputing the $10 charge just to be pure evil.

I got hit by paypal and i think i will get hit back again soon, I made the mistake of selling overseas; i sold a brand new factory sealed iphone 4 16gb 100% original to a guy in Russia, then he open a case saying that item wasn't as describe it, that he got a chinese phone instead.... I was like what !!!!!!! any how my paypal account is - 486 dollars, WHAT WOULD IT HAPPPEN IF I DONT PAY PAYPAL BACK ? can they take me to court ? will it screw my credit ?

oe this is Joe too, I wrote to you about how i been getting a ton of zero feedback people trying to get my items for free by bidding and going to my site and downloading the product and then think they dont have to pay i get more than 10 in two weeks. I am fighting back i opened a site called eBquit.com a ebay clone site. More info to follow, I tierd of getting pushed around by ebay and it;s buyer protected smucks.

Great video, Joe, as always. I was getting at least 10 a week and that is why I closed down my business. So glad to see you are spreading the word at what assholes Ebay is. I hate Ebay for what they did to my business and I have never regretted shutting the whole thing down.

you might not like this but maybe it is better if you just accept paypal, you should just try it for a month and see if it is worth it even with the paypal fee? I bet you the dead bet bidders will drop down, i've never been scammed by paypal, but I've only ever sold like 20 items through paypal. so idk. people who only accept paypal probably cant keep track of different payments going to 5 different places. I think it then becomes to hard. but l'm not sure just a guess. good vid keep it up.

@keywest302 Thats not my point, my point is even though it does suck, a huge % of buyers prefer to use it as they dont get fee'd and is alot faster and safer. dead bet buyers are more worse then paypal, I would rather accept paypal as a payment and get small fee's then have dead bet bidders/ angry buyers/ negative feedback/ wasted time spent sorting them out? plus once the buyer has payed it shows it straight away unlike some back acc transactions, that can take over night

@killzone474 You asked if it really matters? Question is, do you really matter? Paypal sucks because they nickle and dime you for everything you sell then they decide what to do with your money. They even decide when to pay you from a buyer but at the same time they want you to ship out a high dollar item. You ship out item, buyer claims a SNAD or IND (Item not delivered) then now you have lost your item PLUS the original shipping fees. Use paypal if you like but others dont like being screwed!!

Actually the best new payment system out there is bitcoins. Bitcoins is a peer-to-peer encryption system and no one controls it so no one can freeze your money. Look up Bitcoins on wikipedia. Bitcoins!
