  • I could listen to this all day, love this beat!!! oldskool 4 life!

  • @SocialistRose. If you want to share a song with OWS try Franti's Yell Fire. Much much better.

  • Great song for OCCUPY TOGETHER! I'll be sharing it at #OWS this week. Perfect timing. Perfect lyrics. Perfect message: Give the corporation some complication!

  • I've got a love/hate relationship with this song. I love the music and the passion in his voice. But I hate what I consider both an absurdly over-simplification of our situation and a dangerous call-to-action.

  • stay educated ye who lacks knoweledge lacks peace of mind great message

  • rock the nation!

  • I recall a flute track in that song, kinda takes the edge off it not to have it there.

    A.G.

  • means and end ....!

  • means and end...

  • John 14:6 "No man comes uto thre Father except through me" Thats what Jesus the son of God said. We must be born again by the blood of Jesus in order to go to Heaven when we die......otherwise we will go to hell.I believe this and I testify.\; The devil is a liar.Peace.he was crushed by Jesus at Calvery!!!!

  • These guys are fucking awful.

  • @astrolifter wtf dude if you dont like him dont listen and dont talk shit about him. You just can face reality can you?

  • @MrRastaman0101 Years back I was trolled on AOL by a guy. I looked at his profile and all he had were the lyrics for the entire song: bomb the world. I read them and decided that they were almost as stupid as the troll was. So now you can understand my actions.

  • two words: ted williams

  • Michael Franti you are a great example of a man with a concience!!:)

  • @ShineLikeThunder1 No, he's an example of a fucking moron with no talent.

  • Fuck Obama He lied about pulling us out of iraq and left us in the war on terror and wont cut back unnecessary military spending like the tens of thousands of troops in Europe and Asia for no reason...american needs to stop the world controlling mentality i mean seriously FUCK Iraq and Afghanistan those Arabs wont stop radicalizing.

  • W@offmynutz9000 you are right in some areas but its not always iraq and afghanistan that do all of it. We could be wrong to fight in that area because 9/11 could have happened from anywhere in the whole world, planned anywhere, so i disagree with you just saying that Iraq and Afghanistan are the only ones radicalizing

  • @MrRastaman0101 When we "pick on" one Muslim country it is used to radicalize Muslims around the world....but off the subject, have you ever typed in the word america and wondered why its not marked as a spelling error but when you type in any other country or continent name without a capital letter it gets mad at you...its a conspiracy if you ask me man

  • @offmynutz9000 Bomb the muslims into pieces!!!

  • @astrolifter Bomb the muslims?

That's right! Do we wanna know them, NO! Do we want to understand them? NO! There enemies that is just propagandised to be terrorists. And I am a stupid idiot to believe them, and not be a subject to my own CRITICAL THINKING. Because after all... what TV says, must be right.

  • @mrpinkproduction92 Statistics don't like, since 9-11, 80 percent of all terrorist acts have been committed by muslim extremists. The moderate muslims need to take a stand against them for giving Islam a bad name.

  • @astrolifter Oh God, if you believe 9-11 was committed by Muslims, then we're on different pages. But I have to say, I do agree with you about bombing for peace. You're right. We are violent creatures, and ironically in order for peace we must have war. But I don't support innocent paying the price for it, and people like me and you paying taxes and interest for the ones who are greedy for it. That's the hard part.

  • @mrpinkproduction92 The evidence is that muslim extremists did it. They even have the hijackers on film while they were going through security and before they boarded the planes. On top of that, alqueda and bin laden publicly took responsibility for it afterwards. Surely you don't believe the government did it right?

  • @astrolifter It's your opinion, I'm not saying anything. There's alot of evidence for both arguments. My main beef with this world is not religion, it's banks and bankers.

  • @astrolifter Imperial extremists have terrorised the world, giving our beloved U.S.A. a bad name. Meanwhile, American Christian extremists have been agressive advocates for imperial violence and war around the world. In these- and other ways, does this brigade of destruction base its violent calls on a severe, long discredited distortion of the notion of "survival of the fittest," so long as extremist christians dominate- despite all evidences of their racist, hostile, and lethal flaws.

  • @MrPeonPower; Xtianity isn't the only extremist religion. The only truly peaceful religion I know of is Jainism.

I am not a Xtian, but have to defend them. The NT is one of the few sacred books without advocating violence. Men later in history are the ones who distorted the words. I think the same thing happened to the Quaran.

Why are white racists/hatred and their wars worse than the black/brown/red one racists and their tribal conflicts?

  • @mrpinkproduction92 And also, Franti and Spearhead lie, the world CAN be bombed into peace. In many regions, this is the only way peace can be brought about. So I say bomb the world into pieces and you'll bomb the world into peace...

  • @astrolifter By far the most violent region is the U.S.A. So- by your estimation peace can only come to the empire by way of a bomb? Over your house/home shall peace come from the sky?

  • @astrolifter

IN reality Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all "Abrahamic" religions...meaning they are derived from Abraham. Guess what, they all pray to the same God. In one language they say Allah, in another they say Yahweh. There are extremists from every religion; hating anything that is different. Then you have people that claim no religion specifically who love everyone, and want to see everyone happy and healthy.

    Religious or not,

    I love you

  • @HoneyDenby87 You got me on that one, I can't think of a response for the life of me. I was trolled by a guy years back while chatting in an aol chat room. The guy verbally attacked me with no provocation, and quickly left the room. I read his profile, there were the lyrics for bomb the world...the entire song, nothing else! This is where my dislike of spearhead originated from. Its a kind of neurosis I admit. YOU CAN'T BOMB THE WORLD INTO PEACES, BUT YOU CAN BOMB THE WORLD INTO PEACE BABY!

  • @HoneyDenby87 Libra

  • just a white idealst who worships you in pa. Hook me up without the White-landowner-bullshit.. Let's do the goodstuff

  • does anybody have an idea where i can get this remix in good quality?

Whats up with that? YT f'ing with me?

  • i wanna be in the town with all the stereoes... i would've LOVED that (sorry i know that theres a message, a good one at that)

  • ROCK THE NATION!!!

    DRINK CORONA LITE!!!!!

  • This is a RMX.

    Morgan ICS

  • if you like franti check out his obama video, it SUCKS and he is a sellout for obama's war machine.. but oh obama is black so franti thinks that is cool i guess.. even though obama is continuing most of bushs policies and wars. RIP spearhead.

  • @PhotoAnimationGuy Uh, I think a lot of people were hopeful for Obama, and now are being disillusioned to how he is still pro-establishment. I'm sure Franti is frustrated with that, but it seems to me he's wanted to focus more on the positive side of life.

  • @PhotoAnimationGuy id ont think thats entirly correct - its a little black and white thinking- real life is a tad more complicated than that im afraid

  • i dont like this version of this song, i think the other one sounds better

  • You know what the funniest thing about this is ??? I went to high school with Michael Franti.. I was a Sr and he was just a Sophamore at Davis High and now yrs later I look this kid and he has come so damm far and knowning I am rocking this guys music..True !!!

  • like michael franti & spearhead?? see my channel for their album : everyone deserves music, all the tracks are in one playlist check it:)

  • this guy i s so amazing. listen to his messages. everybody!!!!!!!

  • OMG, Franti blows my mind!

  • i think that the one on def poetry of this is better. this is just too repetitive musically, good lyrics though. great lyrics.

  • @ suckafoo. Agreed about The Wire. Great Show! I'm almost done with Season 5. When it ends I might cry. Don't want to see it end.

It was great to see Avon waggin his finger at Daniels. Haha.

  • @cgr62 your gonna fuckin cry when you see what they did to Omar, that dude was my hero, homo or no (I would never choose that life but I don't resent others for it}, man the way he goes out just sad man, I honestly wanted him to ride out on all those boys.

  • Damn, I'm not lookin forward to that. Omar is the man. Who else walks to the corner store in his robe, with a Desert Eagle, to get some "Honey Nut"? Marlo's another one of my favorites. Love that character. I was a big fan of Stringer for awhile, but his exit was fitting for the show.

  • @cgr62 I know right? who else just walks by a stashhouse and says, "it's Omar out here>" and budles fly out the window?, closest thing to a hero that show had, and they let him go out like he's nothing, I wish I could ask the writers, why the hell they did that.

  • @cgr62 and marlo picks a fight, just to pick one and although I think they are implying that he missed the action on the streets, It's kind of vague for an ending., the whole ending dissapointed me a little bit

  • NICE! I'd never seen the vid.

    awesome song awesome video

  • como consegue ser tao liiindo? lovee

  • If you're saying he is.... WTF? He's trying to encourage others NOT to be!

  • you know were to get the original version

  • the truth shall come

    the truth shall come

    give the corporations some complications

  • A great song, and message. We should have more books, songs, magazines, radio programs, and so forth dedicated to truth. Most of our music these days has nothing to say.

  • @squidman86 Many people criticize music especially modern music for having nothing to say...but where is it written that music has to say something. Im not trying to say what I like is better than what someone else likes or that the music one makes is better than anothers. Im just saying that I have never seen where it says that music must have a prophetic message.

  • @squidman86 absolutley my brother one of his best- i wish more people listened to grandpa michaels message

  • @ItchyBirdDmb wait...grandpa michael? ftw?

  • this guy does have an awesome voice, makes u sit up and listen!

  • 'raise my voice before i lose my soul'

    awesome

  • "give the corporation some complication!"

    Yeah let's bury those fuckers

  • i heard this on commercial free community radio AND satellite radio, i think it was XM or Sirius. thanks for uploading!

  • michael!! I watch your music videos and when the camera does a close up on your face... especially your eyes...I just see Cappy!! It makes me happy to see him in you :)

  • Rock the nation-- disaster capitalism is an economic recovery package

  • if only we all thought like this Man (prophit) this man has a soul of the land

  • Great song, easy to get the lyrics in ones head. Then message is meanignful just hard to pursue in the aggressive, radical way its portrayed. Michael is a wise person and needs to simply find his humility; his message is right, but his manner in presenting it is too vulgar for most people. Why should we rock the nation? It feeds us and supports us. If it lies to us and misleads us, how can we counteract this without aggression and violence?

  • You do have a good point but it takes all kinds of ways for different people to take notice of issues. I think that while it may sound to aggressive for some, for others it get them psyched and encouraged to act instead of just sitting back and thinking about all the awfull and unjust things that go on.

  • this remix is sh*t the orgl is so much beteer then this sh*t who ever put this on here take it off because your giving him a bad name and making his music sound sh8t when it's not

  • i dont like this remix

  • this song was in "The Wire"

  • michael franti n spearhead live in sidney, bam bam rock the nation

  • RESPECT!

  • This is the kind of mind expanding stuff you'll never see on BET. lol, it's so sad that some people are still zombies.

  • there is hope.

  • hope i guess so haha

  • He is one of the few popular artist's in the genre of American Hip-hop who truly has something to say about social aspects of our lives around the world;in the connection of hip hop's lyrics and the visual video image.

  • When i was 5 i cried about this song because it was so strong.

  • do you really believe you were crying about what this song is about... or just about the edgy techno beat

  • i cryed about the video dick

  • when u were 5?

but this was only released 7 years ago

oh dear you are 12... i didnt realise

sorry for hurting your head but i find it extremely difficult to believe that, at age 5, you were emotionally and intellectually developed to understand the concepts and issues covered by this song to such an extent that you would cry about it

but if you are 12 then thats ok because you probably still dont understand now...

  • You're an embarassment CraZhore.

  • i guess i was 7

  • Michael gives me hope.

  • me too~!

  • Hi igg73,

Check out "Satanic Reverses" from the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy album _Hypocrisy is the Greatest Luxury_.

  • Truth with intention. Power to Spearhead!

  • yar!

  • thx4added !!!

  • franti = truth

  • michael franti is great musician

  • Well, even Jesus wasn't popular with everyone. Just a matter of taste and opinion. The evening news is full of fallacies and half truths. History is written by the winners of wars. Michael Franti is very diplomatic and open minded.

  • That has nothing to do with him being a bad musician. and is it a crime to be black in America? He's pretty much a conspiracy theorist.

  • Are you a black American?

  • nope, not at all

  • i dont really get y pepl say stuf on the internet that they wudnt say 2 sum1s face its just cowardly

  • actually I would say that to someone's face. and nice grammar.

  • you'd probably already know if the person is a black American if your saying it to his face. thus eliminating the need to ask the question in the first place. :p

  • Fallacies and half truths-Sure you not talking about the news or history books (written by the winners of wars)

  • Oops. Was only meant to post one of these comments. Sorry.

  • Sound a bit wierd but I love the lyrics.

  • It sounds amazing.

  • Not the song. Love that. The recording sounds a bit strange (maybe I need my ears tested)

  • Sounds better on myspace. Sorry Youtube.

  • Why is it a different version on myspace? Is this one remixed a little or something?

    Awesome song.

  • I agree it is an awesome song. Quality of recording just a bit better on my space. Last time I checked it out.

  • Words of truth someone gotta sing it :)

GOd bless ya Michael Franti :)
