yeah,, like dames said.. when it comes to their real talent, bodom does hold more.. alexi and janne used to be in a vey serious cassical band during and out of school for a while and are both EXTREMELY good at classical instruments as well and have a huge musical.. ummm diversion i guess... like they can more than likely make any of their songs into a classical or other genre peice.. can you see sliipknot do that? no i dont think so.. but slipknot has gone through alot in their time though..

Mushroomhead was formed in 1993, their first album, Mushroomhead was released in 1995.
Slipknot on the other hand...
Formed in 1995, released their first DEMO in 1996.
Anyways, thought I'd like to clear that up.

I agree mainstream doesnt neccesarily mean bad but when they copy someone elses style is when it's bad for example Avenged Sevenfold theier old stuff with screaming is majorly kickass now their stuff from city of evil with no screaming is nothing special so what im getting at is a band thats mainstream isnt bad if they keep their individuality when they lose that thats when the band isnt as good

Like for example, Slipknot evolved, But not in a good way. Their new music is trash, but I still love them.

Not exactly, for example, you have a Melodeath group, suddenly hardcore is "on the wave" of 15 little gay emos, and you change to them, where there is money rainning, probably it's for economic interest, not musical.
Melodeath Is Music (classical and trash influences), Hardcore is shit (right now)

wrong. hardcore is amazing- bands who have been claiming to be hardcore suck (ie- tdwp), slipknot is amazing, but should not be included in this conversation as they are NOT a metal band, and bodom has always been a decent band- just nothing special.
