@a7thvengeancex I disagree for many reasons because first of all Apple copied the touch screen patent from a phone called the Lg Prada and got in real hot water for it second I have a hard time trusting Apple because many people over look the fact that the i-phone is still the ONLY phone in the world with no user replacement battery and what about the fact that you have no removable memory on the iphone and lets not forget that to this very day people are still having issues making a phone call.

well you can disagree all you want but honestly if all those issues actually mattered no one would buy the phone in the first place and it wouldnt be as big as it is those drawbacks are so insignificant and the call quality has gotten better but thats on at&t not the phone itself and it also matters where you are

Once again I disagree and how can you say that not having a user replacement battery is insignificant? because you are not going to say that it is so insignificant when you have to send back your phone to Apple for something you should have been able to do yourself. the i-phone is in no way the best phone ever made and its things like this that prove this to me. As for the call quality I still know of many people with i-phones having issues making a simple phone call.

I own the Motorola Droid and I have NEVER been more happy with ANY OTHER phone I have ever used or owned including my friends brand new i-phone 3gs that I used for a good week before I even touched a Droid and I could have saved $100 and got on a cheaper plan if I would have gotten the i-phone 3gs but I still got the Droid because Its better at least for me and its on Verizon. Yes I do agree that Apple most be doing something right but not for me.

i do understand what you are saying but I was talking about the fact that Apple is still the ONLY phone in the world that you have to send in for a simple or in the i-phones case a not so simple battery replacement and Apples answer to this issue is to make the phone user take out a $100 battery plan a plan that you would not have to worry about with ANY OTHER PHONE out except the i-phone not only that but your out of a phone until Apple decides to send it back to you unless you rent a phone.

Actually I think it looks a bit like the Palm Pre. I like the look of it and the UI looks pretty snappy even with the overlay. I like Android but it is kind of meh in respects to looks, this is a nice overlay like sense. Also with Android a lot of programs stay running in the background even after you exit them which makes you need an app or task manager. I wish it was more like the Pre with the swipe up and it is done method.

they are doing it because android is fully customizable so they can make it into their own OS and put it on their phone. It is the smartest and fastest way to get into the mobile market.
