Nothing is difficult if you have a desire to learn. You'll find that you'll only encounter problems in life when you don't ask questions. Always ask, always challenge. Dont let the past hold you up by dwelling on things that you cant change any longer. Move forward with a bright outlook on the horizon.
Good luck in the Air Force and with your future. I'm sure you'll do great things in life.
You really inspire me friend! My older brother is in the Air Force and he told me he totally regretted joining. So I hope when I join, everything will go nice and smoothly...
Okay, kind of a stupid question, but on a twin turboshaft helicopter, is it possible to start the other engine by 'overhauling' it from the rotation of the first engine. Not a cross-bleed but an actual mechanical start?
The green dials are instruments that have night vision lenses installed onto them. All the instrument panel items are that way so the pilots can use night vision devices, they use NV to fly and land at accident sites.
No, I fly along as co-pilot with a REACH pilot in command after the GARMIN WAAS GPS installations are completed to release the helicopters back into service as airworthy. After we do an installation of these GPS systems I must go for an operational test flight to assure the integrity of the systems operation.
I changed the helicopter to a 109A tonight, the A109 designation was a mistake done by the FAA, it is officially an Agusta Spa 109A model now as it should be.
The FAA has N23RX listed as a A109. REACH does have a 109A and a 109C also but this one here is registered as an A109. I also thought that it was supposed to be a 109A but it is not, at least according to the FAA and all my form 337's that I filled out to match their data.
I was expecting the theme song of "AIRWOLF" to start playing!!

Hello sir, I am 15 years old and I want to ask whether piloting/learning a helicopter is highly difficult or not?
Because I might join the U.S Airforce.

@Naturepheonix If you'd like to fly helicopters, then you should join the Army, not the airforce :-)

All I see is a lot of green dials and a lot of buttons. If you fly that thing using all those dials and buttons, then hats off to you.

Thanks for your response. Why would you land at "accident sites"? You a rescue/emergency response pilot?

Hmmm, a SOTIC grad flying with REACH?
