  • Spiritual person has no need to undermine new age seekers. To walk to the top of the mountain has more than one path.

  • @sclai

Yes, but we must never forget that the entire ascension into the Third Crystal of Light must be celestially bound to the Chi by the Ninth Root Chakra...

Otherwise, the Ethereal Crystal of the White Flame of Purity will lose its entire Yin Yang balance...

  • Well it's very hard to recognize the true spirituality vs. new age spirituality, becouse when someone says something about karma or reincarnation etc. that person is at the same time marked as "new ager" by the society.

Personally i don't see sucha negativity with the new age movement, there is a big plus that this movement may drastically help in shutting down 3 main authoritarian dogmatic religions. Catholic church is already fighting big ideological battle against new age heretics :)

  • Buddhism > New Age hippie movement.

  • i think you are right about new agers, but i dont think that if you are enlightened should participate in society, unfortunately societies are sick and dont want to listen they just want to spend money,so, i understand those yogis who wants to retire to the himalayas to perform their sadhanas in peace.ive known few real yogis but they are in hiding ,they dont need to feed their ego waisting time showing themselves as gurus.the people who is ready for spirituality will find it one way or another.

  • Robertdegiro - I'm in agreement with you here, almost. I think an enlightened soul could participate in society if s/he chooses to, though it'd be important to maintain an awareness that the nature of the public environment is as you describe. I also think such a person wouldn't self-identify as a guru, establishing relationships on a master-disciple basis; rather, that person would just strive to appear as an ordinary person providing help to others in his or her own unique way.

  • Not to oversimplify...the spiritual person vs the new age has to do with commitment level. It's one thing to read books and go to retreats VS. cultivating in your home no matter what book is popular. It's like someone with a weight bench at home vs going to a health club for show.

  • In summary, the new ager is someone who follows a trend and the spiritual seeker is someone who truly embraces spirituality.

    yes?

  • Spirituality in my direct experience, is simply the harmonizing of one's self with everything else on a moment to moment basis. It is seeing without the eyes that you essentially, are me having a different experience. What ever your belief, you will always find an answer to support it if you look hard enough because the veils of truth shift in direct accordance to our idea of it.

  • please do not judge others.... show us the way, but be positive

  • with all respect i dont think he regards himself as a prophet

  • Namaste! Dr. Acharya, I have one question. Can one be totally spiritual when he or she doesn't recognize the supreme personality of Godhead(The Creator, The Sustainer and The Destroyer)??

  • The answer is an absolute no

  • God has no personality. Being spiritual means to put efforts into improving yourself, and knowing your soul.

  • It is my belief that God does have a personality. One God in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, is not a fairy tale, nor to be taken symbolically. These are the Three Persons of the One Living God. Three, yet One, undividable. The Second out of these Three, the Son became man in Jesus Christ, and thus a true Incarnation of God.

  • i agree with you 101%.

  • Amen.

  • According to Victor Zammit, even an atheist can be a spiritual person, since spirituality mostly concerns itself with how you treat other people.

  • Well dont atheists not believe in souls sense they are materialists? So they can't work on their spirituality sense they are only flesh and bone. In my oppinion, with spirituality comes God.

  • keendream: You use the word "sense" where I think you mean to use the word "since". It does change the meaning of what you are trying to say.

'Beliefs' do not change 'facts'. If you do in fact have a soul, then believing you don't have one doesn't change anything (except your thinking.)

  • Hah ok thanks for the grammer lesson, im glad you could comprehend what i was saying. And, if we do have souls then believing in your soul would make a difference in the way you used it. I think of a soul or spirit as being your natural, non egotistic, self. Most materialists don't think about a soul so they don't realise when its being expressed and they will cover it up with their ego instantly.

  • I truly feel like clapping for every sentence he finishes.Thank you, PEACE & JOY

  • thank you for your beautiful message. I am still searching for the purpose of the life that i am living, and dont claim to be a spiritual person. What i do know within the depth of my soul is that every action that i make must be made with love....to everyone and everything. This is how i strive to live: with pure love to everyone...it is not easy, but even you agree to that...i still have a long journey...
