People there seems to be so used to earthquakes that in the office these two are all chill out hoping for nothing fall to the ground. On another common day, even the phone is more important than the quake.

i came to the united states 1 week before the earthquake in my country (peru) but my family said that the earthquake was so strongh and scary that they could see the ground shaking.

Peru is one of South America were most affected by strong earthquakes. I think in the next decade some large earthquakes will occur in regions near the North Pole ...

The epicentre of the earthquake was deep (112Km), but the indonesian disaster of 2004 should make us learn that we still have to study to understand what changes are taking place at this stage of life on the planet.
