This is pure metal, and as far as the singer his voice is haunting and fits the music. Dane is an awesome singer. Nevermore is just flat bad ass and whoever says it's crap has no concept of music.

as an oooold nevermore fan i cannot be more happy, their last 2 albums were rubbish and i used to love them since Warrel and JIm splitted up from Sanctuary to form Nevermore.

i got so angry with their last releases that i didn`t check out any news on them since now, what a wonderful news , AT LEAST THEY CAN HAVE THE TIME TO REGENERATE THEIR IDEAS AND COME BACK THE THE OLD GREAT DAYS OF THE POLITICS, NEVERMORE, DREAMING NEON.....

I would like them to get back their original astonishing sound,if you hear the guitars and the rhythm of this song you and compare them with their old songs you shall clearly understand what i said.

@DimisMetalhead666 to fully answer your question, TGE was a success cause the kids like that kind of shit sound today and they got mainstream for that adding new fans, as for me I have still nostalgia for the 80-90ies sound and for that i will always put The Politics of Ecstasy on top of my favourite albums of all time.

you can clearly hear their talent and the Sanctuary trademark in songs like "this Sacrament, the Tiananmen man and Next in Line" to name few.

Man, I have to say this album is the most accessible work of the band, yet being a really good Nevermore record. Similar to what Pagan´s Mind did recently, regarding to their previous albums.

It´s a shame that Van and Jeff had to go. Nevermore with them and Broderick was just the perfect band. I just hope Nevermore survives and those beasts go on doing awesome music.
