  • does she perform this song live?

  • loffffff

  • omg this song is SO GOOD! I thought i heard all the b-sides from overpowered but i never heard this one, love it!!

  • Such a talented woman!

  • i LOVE the beginning its kinda sexy!

  • I don't understand all the hate for Movie Star going on here - I think it's fucking fantastic and Roisin actually really likes the song, she has told us forum members that countless times... and as to this being her most mainstream album, I would say it's her most accessible album, definitely, but that doesn't make it bad - granted, I like Ruby Blue and I Am Not A Doctor more.

  • THE GREATEST!!!!

  • Oh Roisin. How I love you and love you and love you. Mxx

  • i agree with you...tooo. she is the best! and unique.

  • non-stop boogie, won't stop! yeaaah!

  • And she looks gorgeous on this picture, isn't she?

  • I love her facial expression, she's adorable :)

Great track, should be been on the album

  • lol her music is so different from anything ive ever heard

its kinda odd lol (in a good way)

  • well but i think it's easily her most "mainstream album" of her career

  • You can call it mainstream because compared to her other work it is more easily categorized, but in terms of what is going on right now in music, it isn't really. She wanted to do a disco album because she wanted to, not because of marketing.....

  • Well yes but except "Movie Star" for which she has always been scared about but eventually was forced to do it because of producers' bad taste, compromise with EMI etc....

She said by herself that was " juts a stupid song", a kind of "big football chanting"

Also she could have made disco without that new fresh vocal pop style.

  • in an interview, she said she wrote movie star at the end of the sessions because she felt she had to / there was "missing" something.

  • She also said in maybe an other interview that the sound was prepared way before she finally decided to write something on it, because she was rather forced to do it. Well we can agree that was not the best thing on the album

  • I am talking about "Movie Star" of course

  • yes we can agree.

  • I never liked Movie Star... guess now I know why

  • @LadyLottimort same here! i thought it was a tad cheesy. but i love her nonethelessssss!!

  • Um do you even know what you're talking about? Having been a forum member for years and years, I can attest that Roisin has said numerous times that she felt like Movie Star was supposed to be "the one"...

  • of course it's great! super real:)

  • I totally agree with you :) My Dear :)
