yo tenia 7 anos y recuerdo perfectamente como se sintio. La casa donde vivia no se cayo pero si se cuarteo de varias partes. I also remember this.. I was three years old.. but I remember my mom carrying me on her shoulders and taking me to see buildings that were damaged be demolish. I wonder what the skyline would look like now if this had not happened?

@neonangelbomb Britain has to be the safest country on earth, no earthquakes, no tornados (well we have had numerous gentle earthquakes and tornados but thats it) its very rare to come across any dangerous wildlife, no volcanoes, no hurricanes. I still want to move to Mexico though lol this country is boring and dull and miserable, ill take earthquake over Britain anyday.

Remember the tsunami in Indonesia? Bunch of press, and help but at the same time Mexico they suffered a huge mud slides from a hurricane, and nothing. Lo recuerdo perfectamente, tenia 9 años, cuando comenzo a temblar no podiamos salir de la casa por los movimientos tan fuertes, mi casa se derrumbo perdimos a mi madre y mi abuela ese dia...
Hasta la fecha me duele mucho ver estas imagenes que nos marcaron de por vida a muchos mexicanos.

yo tenia 7 anos y recuerdo perfectamente como se sintio. La casa donde vivia no se cayo pero si se cuarteo de varias partes. Luego el terremoto del siguiente dia iso que la gente corriera para afuera denuevo asustados. Es algo que me marco para toda la vida pero pues nadie salio lastimado asi que no fue tan mala experiensia personalmente. Los de Haiti estan viviendo lo que nosotros pero multiplicado por diez. Siento mucho lo que ellos estan viviendo en estos momentos.

sí que recuerdos tan tristes, y pensar que por esto esta pasando el hermano país de Haití, que dios bendiga a esa gente y la ayuda fluya rapido, estoy de acuerdo que la respuesta internacional incluyendo a México ha sido impresionante pues nuestro país ya ha pasado por eso, y esperemos que aquí en México aprendamos de esta reciente tragedia de Haití para saber como responder eficientemente si un terremoto así vuelve a ocurrir primero dios ojalá no.

@Smilthy yes it´s scary, and it´s sad that Haití is suffering this kind of disaster, and it´s impressive the international help too, not justo from México and other Latin American nations, but from other parts of the world, God bless that poor people and we hope the help works fast, we already have the experience of the past, and we hope to know what to do if this kind of disasters happens again, hope not.

No sé ustedes (mexicanos) pero ese año ha sido de los pocos que he sentido un orgullo inmenso de ser Mexicano, la solidaridad que tuvo la nación consigo misma fue hermosa aún y cuando nunca habia pasado algo así, que lastima que tuvieran que pasar cosas de esta magnitud para que descubrieramos la solidaridad que nos tenemos.

Puedes ver el documental que sacó discovery channel, son los videos originales pero la información recabada aparte de que es más de la que se conocía es verídica, solo que a mi me resulta un poco (o un mucho) triste verlo.

My mom was in the subway when this happened, and had a building collapse on top of them, but luckily, as you can see, she survived. It was just the trauma that stayed with her, but I think it has passed now.

My friend was in a subway station when the earthquake began she said that she was going to be late to work but thank god she was because the building collapsed and killed nearly everyone in the building.
