  • @IDGeneratorS I think DT from now will live in the shadows of Portnoy.

  • ахуенчик

  • I think this band is much better that DT...I think DT sounds a lil overproduced and controlled. I like the raw, experimental, risky feel to this grouping of musicians.

  • these guys always will live in the shadows of DT

  • PUERTO RICCOOOO!!!!

  • WHy doesn't this band play live? btw Pigs On The Wing

  • kevin, calm voice. great musician.

  • Hey, cool video! If you like Kevin Moore, feel free to visit my fan website: The Mooreatorium. Search for it on Google.

  • Press release (from Jim):

    OSI

    New album in spring 2009

Guests: Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) & Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth)

  • Thanks for the info! I hope the new album is more like the first one. I didn't care much for Free.

  • Nice song even if it was a little misplaced on the cd

  • Some news from Kevin Moore:

"I've been working with Jim on our third OSI album for several months now, slowly but surely. Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) is playing drums on this one - he's nearly done tracking and it sounds great. Along with guitar, Jim is handling bass this time. I still get to sing but may get some help (more later)."

  • if you like OSI guys check out tom mcraes 2nd albums its got great instrumentation and songs on it. very dark.

  • Very Ringo-esque with the beard and the glasses. Love it.

  • i like this song - one of my favourites on that album

  • Great job !!! The band should take a look at this beacsue I think its brilliant.

  • hey brô! beautiful song isn't it? tell me, what kind of class prject you did with it? nice shots by the way!

  • nice song, and nice shots too!

    where did you record it?

  • various parts of Puerto Rico.

  • thanx pal!

    un saludo latino!

  • thanks!

  • yeah, OSI is such a nice project, do you know if is gonna be another album?

  • One of greatest songs I have ever heard. And I love the O.S.I project.

  • Oh, man! That man was REALLY genius! Gosh, I love his stuff, they're my real hero

  • Nice job setting the mood for this song, dude! Kevin Moore is a genius and Jim Matheos isn't far behind!

  • I remember hearing somewhere that Matheos and Moore split the task of writing lyrics for the album Free. Anyone know who wrote what?

  • What a lot of people don't know is how much great music is out there. Thank's to the internet

more imaginative bands such as osi are getting heard....great stuff!

  • nice to listen to real music, nice video too.

  • Yes he is!

  • I think OSI is a great band..or project! whatever you call it.

i just love to hear mike portnoy drum...DT rulezzzz

  • Really nice work man, thanks for sharing it.

    Chris

  • Kevin's Chroma Key is one of the most refreshing forms of music today. All of the albums just take you on a journey you know? OSI is Kevin coming back to prog with his Chroma Key sound still intact. His voice just seems to take the stress out of my worst days for me. Plus its completly original. I mean c'mon. at 1:20 they break out the f'n banjo! Brilliant

  • Kevin is indeed a Genius and Chroma Key is awesome.

  • is this office of strategic influence?

  • indeed it is.

  • Matheos has always been one of the Best songwriters OSI is unique

  • Except on this CD the primary writer appears to be Kevin Moore. Everything is played very much in his style, with the exception of a few tracks.

  • Ah, And the video it's so beautyful! what cam do you use?

  • thank you, its a canon XL2

  • As I said and always be sayin' Thumbs up for KevMo and Matheos, great album, wonderful song, extraordinary video...

  • q bonito tio!

  • Can anyone find guitar music scores to Osi do they have books or is there just nothin cos i want to learn free SOOO!! much

  • osi songs are basically easy...but the have tons of effects that make them unplayable. Ah, you need a 7 strings guitar

  • First time listening and I love it.

  • Greatest video ever. Cheers.

  • Sorry...one more post...last one...I can't stop watching this video!!!

  • Very cool video...went very well with the music...you can never look up at the sky and clouds enough...beautiful...

  • OSI are amazing...I've been a Matheos fan since the first Fates...Dream Theater as well...Thank you Jim for all of these years of amazing music and also for being so gratious in person...I had the pleasure of hanging out a couple of times...Cheers!

  • Very well done. Some of the cuts were a little too quick for my liking. I would have liked to see some of the shots for longer, especially since it's a slow song, but mainly 'cos you had some really good shots. Only a minor criticism.

    Excellant song, and video.

  • hey dude you did a fantastic job, and btw osi rock!

so please, never slow down! keep the good work alive...congratulations.

  • could anybody post the making of the first album? never saw it

  • omg you are really good at this

    you have my eternal respect

  • This song rules .. OSI 4ever

  • Really cool video! Helps that this is such an emotion filled song to begin with, of course.

  • not bad

  • Because I'm so moved by your video, I posted it on the Mike Portnoy forum. I'm not shure he will ever come here to watch it, but i most definitely hope so.

But if he doesn't, I hope a lot of fans do!!!

  • Don't worry I'm going to try and link this on the forum of Mike Portnoy. He hopefully will share it with the band. This MUST be seen by the band and the wi(l)de world.

thankx for giving us this video, is (i've said it before) amazingly done!!

  • Thank you! I can only dream of ANY member of OSI getting to watch this..

  • This is wonderfully done. I think you don't have to be afraid, sooner or later OSI will pick this one up. Perfect work, and yeah, OSI is one of the most complete bands ever to exist. Too bad that not even 10% of the population will ever hear this thanx to our great radiostations (f**kers!!!).

But to end this nagging, wonderful and beautiful clip you made.

  • Killer... Jim Matheos is THE MAN!! Great Guitarist and composer. Him and Moore are making some great music. I like the visuals...

  • That's the guy from the Backstreet Boys right?

  • Awesome video man. Great band, great song too.

  • yes, it is. :)

  • dude thats Puerto Rico, right?

  • what?

  • muito legal !

    parabéns !

  • Thanks! I wish any of them would see it :D
