  • Mayuri needs to tell this speech to Perfect Cell from Dbz, since he claims that he is perfection.

  • This speech is something I use in life

  • I really like Mayuri for some reason but I hated what he did to Szayel!! He really didn't deserve to suffer like that.. What did he do to deserve that

  • I agree completely... =]

  • Japanese Freeza Guy Voiced He

  • during the speech ...he reminded me of kenpachi.......were he sed to reach perfection is to have nuthing to gain...........in short ..........the world is filled with copy cats and remakes...so unless u leave all that is known to be tawt as false, u kan never find true perfection.......my words<<<<

  • his freaky caterpillar baby bankai freaks me out but his speeches still makes him my favorite character!

  • Love this speech.

Added it to favorite quotes on facebook page quite some time ago :D

  • @Rainec777 I looked this video up to add this to my quotes right now. LOL

  • did you know that Mayuri´s japanese voice is the same as Frieza from DBZ? :D

  • @vegettoSSJ3ROCKSS Lol loads of people know that :D

  • I had a question on my project to explain why mistakes were beneficial. i used this whole speech (except the part about scientists) to my project. and who said bleach couldn't help you in school? :D

  • @bubblez2454 lolz I used Tosen's speech ( about Justice ) and I got owned cuz somehow it was false.

I can't remember the speech but he said smth wrong.

  • @HoldTJ Yea Tousen doesn't know what he is talking about, that is why he got powned by his own subordinate.

  • am i the only one who felt touched after watching this? :D

  • Perfect Cell anybody?

  • @BlueLightningNaito You know "Perfect Cell" got beat by a 13 year old right? lol Doesn't sound too perfect to me. lol

  • @TheHypaLink A thirteen year old channeling more energy than anyone in his species believed was possible.

But yeah, perfection is a bit much at that point.

  • Mayurai's Zanpaktou disrespected him so he breaks it... the PERFECT example of insanity

  • This is... oddly... touching.

  • Why his sword broke at the end?

  • @FireZtarDS He left the blade in his heart because he states later that as long as he has the hilt he can restore his zanpaktou.

  • Szayel Aporro has suffer the most epic death from bleach, poor Szayel

  • And that's the reason why Aizen lost. He strived to be perfect.

  • i never had a fave char on bleach until i saw mayuri.

  • did anyone notice their eyes are exactly the same color?

  • That was an awesome fight concept. The two scientists. In the end. The one that was more batshit crazy won.

  • i relly cant belive he is the same voice actor for freeza in dragonball z

  • And Uryuu still bitches about him after this. He's turned into a faggot, he needs to learn from Mayuri more XD

  • Cell needs to listen to this speech since he is far more worse than Szylaporro

  • I paused my porn for this...and hit the replay button a couple times. It's just that good<3

  • @InfiniteKingpin

    Ditto.

  • mayuri is sooo frikkin awesome

  • Frieza and Rocco :-)

  • this makes allot of sense

  • This is one of the reasons why I think Mayuri is awesome!

  • I don't know what cut deeper... Mayuri Kurotsuchi's sword or his speech about

perfection and what a ridiculous notion it is.

    Has to be the speech.

I have to leave it at that. Others had too many Point/Counter-Point arguments

    about that epic speech.

  • @Blackroo1967 You'll get more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than you can with just a kind word.

  • I just saw the dub of this episode and was blown away. This is exactly why I love anime. Thanks for uploading :D

  • EPIIIIIC SPEECH

  • I actually prefer the english version to the japanese version

  • The Japanese version is still better. But that's just me. Some English voices are ridiculous.

  • what episode is this??

  • i like the english version better, were can i find a vid of that?

  • @jrion2 i totally agree

  • @pieking911 so my guess is you dont know where i can find the vid lol? know what episode this is if i may ask? really really trying to find the english version

  • @jrion2 the episode just came out in english so it hasnt really been put on the inter-web real fast, i have it cuz i recorded it on mah tv, also i definitally think the english version is better in this scene

  • @pieking911 yea bro your right, english is way better but hey can i ask you for a BIG! favor? since you have the english version think you can type the words up word for word what he said? id really appreciate it and ill sub you, im doing a project on perfection and Mayuri said was right on the money! the english version of course lol..

  • @jrion2 damn bro, this speech was awesome. I loved it

  • @PokemonTrainerLopes yea man, i told you.. its hellavugood xD

  • does anyone know the episode number this is?

  • Mayuri could beat Aizen if he had any interest.

  • Mayuri is totally right, scientists are supposed to create wonderful things and if the world is perfect he have nothing left to live for. You can also see into a bit of the way Mayuri views life about him. He may be catious but he is very curious

  • He broke his sword even when it was lodged in something.

    That's come crazy ass strength.

  • I think he use his long finger nail like some type of Forceps a medical tool use in surgery not necessarily to hold some thing, but rather move skin or organs in his way to get a better look of the insides of his test subjects. In a Close but different subject ,this is one of the best insight scenes of this Bleach and other series too. As one my Favorites.

  • @JavierRed123 The long ass finger nail is an ancient sign of nobility.

  • I have put this video in my favorites, the highest honor I can give a video. I LOVE this scene!

  • Man, I want Mayuri as my science teacher.

  • His nails aren't cut deep, they are painted blue and white.

  • best mayuri moment ever, too bad szayel wont be able to understand it

  • *sniff* That was just...beautiful.I have never heard truer words.I'm actually tearing up right now because it was so wonderful to hear.I think that this is the best speech ever given.Truly,a work of art.

  • *SPOILERS, do not read if you are not up to date on the manga*

This qualifies as pretty excellent foreshadowing for the ultimate fate of Aizen.

    *END SPOILER*

  • First it thought that is FREZZEEEER!!!!!

  • My sister used to loathe Mayuri. When I showed her this vid, she was just plain shocked with how amazing his speech was and now he's one of her fav characters.Score another for Mayuri!

  • Never knew Mayuri can be so . . . deep!!! It is true: no one and nothing in this world is perfect

  • Science is the antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi for President... Free brain-probing with every vote.

  • It's scenes like this that make me remember why Mayuri is my favorite character!

  • one of bleach's most moving speeches. It's so well said, it's beautiful. like art

  • so true, i bet my life if u can find a video on youtube that doesnt have someone commenting in a bad way in it. cuz non of them r perfect. ;)

  • this is the the best moment in bleach

Mayuri is the best (not perfect) person for this

and this fight was like teaching a lesson.

  • Believe or not, My fingers are like Mayuri's fingers... Except by that fingernail...

  • Does anybody know the purpose of Mayuri's long ass fingernail?

  • @drew00998 His other nails are cut way deep, what happens when he needs to scratch an itch.

  • @Dragorro Wow holy crap .. after rewatching it i waiting till it zoomed in on his hand. He only has half fingernails o_o

  • @Dragorro then he will will use his long nail

  • @drew00998 So when he flips the bird, the other fingers stfu.

  • @drew00998 It's obviously for sniffing the massive amounts of pseudo-shinigami grade cocaine and methamphetamine he cooks up in his Squad 12 barracks, which gives him his pale appearance.

  • @drew00998 it's a Chinese thing. Usually they grow out the pinkie finger nail though. It's a sign for wisdom.

  • @drew00998 He said to himself: "If I show someone the finger, I'm going to do it RIGHT."

  • @drew00998

he wants to scratch his ass

  • @drew00998 look which nail it is, its to be able to give the finger better :D

  • @drew00998 to flip off people, duh. XD

  • @drew00998 thats his coke nail

  • @drew00998

its for more effectiveness in flipping ppl off hence its on the mid finger

  • @drew00998 To show that you're a scholar, and can spend time learning, it was once a practice to not cut your nails. Shows that you put all your time in study. Since if all of a scholar's nails would be too long to go through books and whatnot, they'd keep all but one trim.

  • @drew00998 I think it's just a style. Mayuri tends to move his fingers when he is explaining stuffs. Sometimes he dances his fingers (looks like creepy but I find it visually enjoyed).

  • @drew00998 Don't you see what he does to Nemu?

  • @drew00998 To do cocaine of course , why do you think he is so eccentric?

  • I can only completely agree with every word Mayuri just said and I find this philosophy worth living by. Perfection does not exist and it can NEVER exist. Also, perfection MUST NEVER EXIST, because it's the ultimate height, the final point, and therefore represents DEATH. I find myself completely disgusted by anyone who talks of perfection as if it exists, because perfection is a concept for a MORONIC mind too fucking STUPID to realize that EXCELLENCE should be the REAL goal to pursue.

  • @darthgehena indeed sir.

  • @darthgehena Perfection is the driving force of sentience. You cannot abandon that drive. You can only reach it, doom yourself to destruction and start anew. Mayuri doesn't hate the road to perfection, he loathes the final goal, the fact that you know the race is ultimately going to end.

Furthermore, you cannot rule out death and chaos out of the equation. They are one part of the whole Universe, where the beginning is the end is the beginning.

  • @Desolator84 I see where you're coming from, but I must disagree that perfection is the driving force of sentience. If that's a fact, then do provide proof to support it, because one argument against it is that I find EXCELLENCE a far more fitting driving force of sentience than perfection is. A pursuit of excellence provides an advancement to higher degrees of excellence, with even higher degrees thereof awaiting. So I'll abandon any drive towards perfection in favor of excellence any time.

  • @Desolator84 Furthermore, I did not rule out death from the equation. And I don't know how you came up with chaos, as you see fit to put words like that into other's mouths. I simply said that perfection itself is death, at least on an artistic and even scientific aspect. Perfection is merely the end of any and all advancement, therefore it is death. So if advancement itself is both the goal and journey, then perfection is worth forsaking. So leave that Smashing Pumkins song title alone!

  • Lol, the funny thing is, Mayuri spent the time to make a speech about perfection to someone who's already dead, while Renji and Ishida sat there and forgot about it the next moment :).

  • @Anotherrandomdemon28 Actually, Szayel heard every word that Kurosutchi said. His senses could not catch up with him.

  • kurotsuchi... <3

  • Superior speech. Needs some work, but superior nonetheless.

  • By the time your perfect, you will think of something as perfect... I think "perfect" is a term that have a different meaning to everyone... there is no absolute perfect since everyone seeks for different things in life... The only reason Mayuri gave out that speech is because he understands how people blindly seeks for perfection and if one is ever perfect, he will have nothing more to achieve in life and therefore there isnt a point in living anymore...

  • @surfingegg *stands up and starts clapping*

  • its so bautiful :)

  • i completely agree with Mayuri :) Completely. It's quite uncanny :D

  • I agree with everything, but not entirely. Mentally or physically, everything is perfect in some way. Absolute perfection exists only for a moment, then it becomes flawed and imperfect since it no longer carries that signifgance. Perfection as an absolute is nonexistant because there is always something better, or it loses that splendor of being perfect, thereby becoming imperfect. Perfection does exist, but only in the moment it comes into existence.

  • This is why Kurotsuchi is one of my fav characters

  • Kenpachi is crazy

    Szayel aporro grants is insane

    Mayuri Kurotsuchi is mentally disable

  • God, I hope he will be my science teacher someday.....and of course, I cried because of this speech.

  • Freezer should say that to Cell.

  • Who would disagree with this speech?

  • I told this whole speech to my science professor and he whole heartedly agreed with it.

  • That speech bringed me to tears...

    Bravo!! :'D

  • :O *wipes away tear*He sounded...sane.And,the wonderfulness of it...

  • Nakao Ryuusei's voice acting is awesome! Creepy and calm at the same time :)

  • I HATED Mayuri. I just thought he was an asshole, back in the Karakura Arc, when he fought Ishida, and later on....till this point. What he said here was what totally earned him my respect.

  • I agree hes right

Hes right that perfection doesn't exist its just a word that someone came up to make them fell important theirs no one and nothing perfect it just doesn't exist

  • there are so many speeches in bleach....allow me to name a few:

    1. Mayuri's Perfection Speech

    2. Kenpachi's Speech about battle

    3. Shirosaki's speech about the King and the Horse

    4. Urahara's speech about memories

    5. Starrk's speech about his release

    -And many more to come...

  • @WingedBoom Byakuya's Speech about Pride and Ukitake's/Kaien's speech about battles :)

  • @WingedBoom Hollow Ichigo's speech on instinct. A huge favorite of mine. :P

  • @WingedBoom

    Zommari's speech about killing Hollows

  • @WingedBoom Nnoitra speech about how he will become stronger :)

  • @WingedBoom aizen's speech about worshiping him as a god

  • @WingedBoom And Rukia's speech on Ichigo's will to fight, and Nnoitra's speech on his pride and even the many speeches of Tosen of justice.

  • @WingedBoom kariyas speech on fighting throught time aswell~imma get all the speeches from bleach so i can pass psychology lollz

  • @WingedBoom i love the speeches in bleach ^_^ and who says you can't learn from anime? (:

  • 3 people have no logic what-so-ever. Even if you hate Mayuri, you have to admit, this was epic. o.o

  • I was surprised when (in the middle of his speech) when his eyes showed a slight hint of empathy!!!

  • well... perfection does not exist but you must admit that his speech was perfect :)

  • @xtruder02 I must NOT admit that the speech was perfect, because it was NOT. Although I completely agree with it, I won't insult Tite Kubo by measuring this speech on the idiotic basis of perfection, seeing as how this speech most accurately measures very high on the scale of EXCELLENCE.

  • me approve i hate perfection too....;)

  • This pretty much shows why Mayuri is my favourite Bleach-character (with Kenpachi as a close second). He is simply awesome.:-) The Bleach-manga has been rather boring for a while imo, but each time Mayuri shows up I squeel in joy like a little girl.XD

  • @freaknr1 anytime i see Mayuri i squeel in joy as well ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • @freaknr1 I agree. At first you think he is just this creepy stupid guy, but he truly knows what he is talking about. :}

  • it's funny, because kubo can't pace bleach at all, but he makes excellent speeches

  • I believe that every person has own perfection, chasing and looking for perfection is useless. The point is can you accept that perfection? Look at movie stars, singer stars ... almost every star is doing "plastic surgery" believing that they can be more perfect at end they got screwed. After all if you can't accept yourself and things around you, maybe the problem is in you and not in perfection.

  • Mayuri is certainly one of the strongest captains of the gotei, and probably also the hardest to kill. (Liquidification, organ transplantation, poison immune, regrowing limbs, etc...)

  • has this been dubbed yet?!

  • This is why Myuri is one of my gave captains.

  • Amazing Mayuri describe 1/10 of the meaning of life.

    Beautiful speech but very realistic.

  • Perhaps we can apply this to "String Theory".

  • I just LOVE this scene.. Mayuri is one of my favorite characters!

  • beautiful speech. it almost makes me cry since its so true

  • the speech matches the backround song if you hear it carfullly but this speech was beautiful so beautiful i loved it,so i watched it over and over again.

  • kono orega furiza-sama ga

  • well said *clap

  • Ah I love Mayuri <3. He is one of my faves as well. And this speech just made him like number one on my list :D....

Smart insane scientists really touch my heart ;D.

  • exactly my point

  • Mayuri Kurotsuchi is on of my favorite character,he is just awesome and this speech is just wonderful . . . btw whats the name of the song that starts at 0:40

  • @LeoMessi1923 the song at 0:40 is will of heart :D

  • really Ryusei did so well on his voice!!!

    i just love Mayuri's voice!!

    its so MAD and cool

  • @anukiiiii15 he remines me of orochimaru from naruto. He countered his perfection.

  • This speech was perfect! ^^ Sorry Mayuri, but I guess you did create something perfect, unwillingly. XD

Also, is it just me or does Ryusei Nakao's voice acting making this about a million times better than it already is?

  • @DraculaCronqvist I agree...Ryusei-san is amazing when it comes to being Mayuri. His voice describes the character's emotion so well. Yeah...the speech was perfect...poor Mayuri...just did what he didnt want to.

  • He's prefect in any role he does. I mean, he's so variable! From evil bastards, to maniacs, to funny idiots, to heroes, he can play anything 100 % convincing!

He sounds even awesome when just talking as himself... *___*

  • well....if theres 1,000,000,000% that means 100% counts as (1 to 100) witch means it still too far & impossible to reach

  • @bboy0lloyd Research the Schroedinger's Cat Theory of physics...that should help you explain your answer better. When something is, it exists 100% until proven it isn't. There is always a chance of being, and a chance of not being, but it must be: in or der to be something. It's really simple. (Just thought I'd help, dont want to offend you.)

  • That was unexpected but what he says is true; perfection would be boring, but not being perfect, is a lot less boring. I think some people should watch this video and think about what this crazy yet brilliant scientist says.

  • @MrKman211 Yeah, he really is true. However, I dont understand something. You said, "but not being perfect is alot less boring." So do you agree or disagree with Mayuri? Are you saying that to be perfect would be exciting? I must say I disagree with that but, I was just curious. Thanks.

  • @hashiramaskohai I may have wrote what I said the wrong way. I agree with Mayuri, perfection brings despair, there is no fun in being perfect. That's what I meant to say.

  • What he says is very true. If Science could already explain everything what would be the point of its further existence?

  • @PresentationM um, doesn't that depend entirely on what the explaination is?

  • Obviously there are many different opinions on perfection. I myself don't know what to think of the word at the moment. At times it'll give you a goal and because of that goal you become a better person, but at other times the goal of obtaining perfection makes you eternally blind to the rest of society. What good would be obtaining said perfection if there was no one to share that joy with? To me, what perfection is simply depends on who you are and what you desire.

  • its the only moment where mayuri shows a "decent" side

  • @levitan71 He's not indecent... D:

  • dude i wish he was my dad man

  • fuck that! Mayuri is my favorite character and all, but do you see what he does to Nemu? lol I would just want him on my side haha

  • @chazytone He has an akward way of showing love? Heh...*attempts to stick up for that side of him...* I mean...think about how he must of been treated in that cell?

  • becarfull...he might do some experment on u while u sleeping lool

  • amazing, philophesy from a crazy spelling might be a problem

  • Thanks to Kubo Tite I shall remember one Japanese word forever: kanpeki xD

Yeah, this speech is pretty good going for a mainstream shounen.

And I love both Mayuri and Szayel <3

  • I may be the only person in the world who thinks this, but that was freaking beautiful

  • @wellguesswhatIthink Say that to the 236 people who liked it xD

  • this is a real scientist speech cause average people will never say that about perfection and i like the fact that explanation came with that music it makes it PERFECT even though i don't like the word perfect

  • It's okay as long as it's just a figure of speech or a common saying.

  • freeza

  • I love this speech Mayuri makes. We all strive for perfection and continually improve during this pursuit. Sometimes it's painful to realize that perfection is impossible, in a practical sense, but it also instills a sense of euphoria to know that the process of improvement is essentially infinite.
