Haha, when was this gig??? If it was recent, then it just means that they're searching for a drummer because their live shows used to have someone working that particular instrument.
It was a funny gig. One of the guitarists (the growling one [or the 'evil vocals' as they said it) dropped his guitar onstage. And then there was this drunk guy who got up on stage and stagedived, twice. The thing was that there were not that big of a crowd, like 50 persons or so. So the second time everybody just moved to the side. One could hear the sound of his skull hitting the ground. :P He was a big mess afterwards...
Saw this band live as a support act for UDO, they had a computer doing all drums, quite bad.

It was like around 2002 I think, every song started with 4 cheesy strikes on the hi-hat (midi style)
