I'm wondering if you'd be interested in attending the "winter intensive" self reliance class in February. Just a little brush up on surviving in a harsh environment. As a hiker/shooter it might be good. Plus I'd love to have a face to face with you!

That reminds me of my old place. We hunted pheasants right out behind the barn. Now there's a Wal mart where my house used to be and a Sam's club on my alfalfa fields. Sad.

Flushed pheasant, partridge,quail and grouse always scare the heck out of me too. I guess inducing heart attacks is one of their defense mechanisms.

Guns are virtually banned over here though.

Yeah, virtually impossible. Shotguns aren't so bad, but a policeman has to visit your house and check your security and you can't have a shotty with more than 3 rounds.

All auto pistols were banned after the Dunblane massacre. In fact i think revolvers were too.

Some people, eg gamekeepers are allowed bolt action rifles.

The people with guns now are the criminals in the big cities with reactivated and adapted guns. And some of the police of course.

Great practice session with your guns Charlie.  I need my husband to refresh me on our long guns. . . No way would I put a (working) video camera behind MY target. The only way I wouldn't hit it is likely if I was aiming for it. LOL Couldn't believe all those rooster pheasants -- target rich environment. My Dad was a big bird hunter and raised English Pointers. Man, those pheasants and partridges he'd bag were good. . . Sigh. Made me all nostalgic.
